Wrong car, right dealership. Having secured a Mini SD through Tempest with a deposit, we visited and drove the car. Unfortunately the car was not right for us. We dealt with Dave whilst there and he gave us no pressure at all to continue with the sale and promised the initial sales person, Liam, would contact us on Monday. Liam contacted us on Monday, with no pressure and promised our deposit back within 4-5 working days. It arrived in less than 3! So, despite not getting the vehicle we wanted, Tempest were an easy and pleasant dealership to go to. I'm really suspicious of second hand car sellers, but would recommend Tempest, and they have some good quality cars in stock. Very refreshing and decent approach to their customers in an industry seemingly full of sharks. Well done Tempest.

Refreshing to find a used car dealership that is straightforward to deal with and has some great value car prices. I can see why buyers travel across country to get their next car. Covid control practices in place, so no concerns there either.

Tempest cars has a non glossy showroom but with a friendly no nonese demeanor, the selection of vehicles are pristine and has a patter of a helpful but focused salespersons – the forecourt is modern and there is no Arthur Daley lookalike looking to pull a fast one. visiting this place with the Mothership seems a perfectly legitimate way to purchase her next vehicle. There was no haggling to avoid paying over the odds. As the fiat abarth we came to buy was responsible priced, and there was none of the typical pressure to buy on  finance when we explained we were cash buyers. Eddie Customer service was very good , which is where small independents like tempest, usually excel –   I would most probably  advise the Mothership to have the  car serviced there, and when we are next  in the market for another vehicle would certainly give there website a peek.

Purchased a car from Tempest a few months ago and their service was fantastic from start to finish. They weren't pushy, and the car was provided with an MOT, service and full valet so it felt like new when I left. Ashley was brilliant and dealt with any issues I had with the car afterwards promptly and with no fuss. Definitely recommend.

Purchased a Audi TT from Tempest in December, solid low mileage car and the service from Liam and the sales team was great, recommend a stereo specialist who was also good. I had two problems with the car and booked it in with Lauren at the service centre, got courtesy car and all sorted under warranty with no fuss. Recommend

As an avid follower of Aquaholic, this gave me an added degree of confidence in dealing with Tempest. I recently bought a new qashqai from tempest 4 cars which arrived in an immaculate state and I can say the service I received was top rated. Liam helped answer any questions I had promptly via email or by phone and was very friendly and helpful. I had my car delivered by Spencer and what a kind man he was. He came in for a cup of tea after his long drive and enjoyed conversations with my young children. Highly recommend this company for any of your car needs

Was looking at the duster and had seen a few from main dealers And they were all without exception in a shocking condition And very over priced Then my wife spotted one and arranged to view it that weekend I drove from Grantham Lincolnshire and from the moment I arrived I was welcomed and allowed to view the car un hindered and a gentleman appeared with the keys and then disappeared I was pleasantly impressed by this place The staff were very friendly and helpful The car was absolutely what was advertised The man I was dealing with was mark He was absolutely a gentleman And I honestly think main dealerships should be educated by this team Because they really are the best I have ever seen Thank you for all you did The family loves the new addition Couldn’t recommend you enough

I bought an Audi A3 here in February, very good experience, professional and not pushy, Ashley the salesman answered any questions and had the car fully serviced and valeted. Location is a bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

Everyone can sell you a car, very few will solve issues in a professional manner, if problems do arise. I purchased a Volvo V70 from them and i am happy with both the sales and after sales team/handling. There was a problem with the tires almost a month after i purchased the car. The car was booked for inspection and the tires were changed to brand new without any fuss (even matching the expensive existing make!).

I visited Tempest 4 cars to look at a fiesta zetec s.........well was very happy with everything. Liam and the team made me feel very welcome. Was able to view and test drive the car. No one hanging over my shoulder or being 'pushy'. Was left to check it out and when ready I went back in to sort out a deal. All the cars are in great condition. I got a very fair trade in price on my Nissan juke. Deal was done in under 20mins. New car I bought was given full 12month MOT and full service before I picked it up a few days later. We bought a car from tempest. I called up the same morning that we bought and they had the car serviced and PDI checked by the to we got there. Within 2hours. Mark our salesman was personable and helpful. We took it for a test drive. We identified a scratch on the alloy which Tempest have agreed to fix at a later date as we wanted to drive the car away. We had a quick lunch at the Cafe on the industrial estate only to find that Tempest picked up the bill. The car was good value compared to market prices. Professional friendly service.

We bought a BMW from Tempest 4 cars today and we had a brilliant experience. Liam was very helpful as we travelled a long way to see the car and gave us plenty of time to look around on our own. There was no push to sell other bits of protective polish or insurance. Our car was in great condition and looking around, all of their cars looked well presented. Overall a breath of fresh air compared to other companies that we've dealt with.

Thank you for being amazing Tempest. We had a really bad experience buying a used car from a dealer a couple of years ago that ended up in us taking them to court for the money back (we won!) . So I was really wary. We were left to look around the car at our leisure, no hard sell, and to take it for a test drive on our own to check it over. We bought the car, and a few days later realised there were a couple of niggles. This is where this dealer excels, their customer service and after care was amazing. We had a courtesy car while they fitted a new rear view camera and looked at why the back carpets were wet. They were very thorough and realised it was blocked air con drainage tubes, sorted! Car is a dream. Below average price paid and way above average service received. Highly recommend them. Thank you guys for a completely different purchase experience :)

Purchased a Mercedes SLK250 without viewing over the phone and put a car in part exchange, got a good price for mine and the SLK was a great price too... I dealt with a guy called Liam who turned out to be an outstanding guy who not only arranged delivery but also change of plates which made my purchase stress free, so would recommend Tempest 4 cars to anyone....the car arrived as described and in pristine condition... We were delighted with the service we received when we purchased an Audi Quattro A4 Black Edition from Tempest Cars. Liam made the whole process really smooth and is a credit to the company. He arranged finance for us and transferred our number plate onto the new car. We viewed the car on the Saturday and collected it a week later. Excellent service. Thank you so much. Love the car!

I have bought many cars as I change regularly from both main dealers and independant operations. Often the garages where I find a car I like are some distance away such as on this occaision where Tempest 4 Cars had a Range Rover I wanted. I live in Bath and they are in West Sussex. Martin and Liam made the whole process so easy and painless that it was a real pleasure to deal with them. Their level of customer service was the best I have experienced in a very long time.It was significantly better than the big franchises I have dealt with. These guys want to build long term relationships with customers to get them to come back . I most certainly will go back and will do everything I can to recommend them. This is a bit of a mixed bag tbh. I found a great car on the Tempest website and went to view it next day. Was welcomed and taken on test drive and all was great. Car was lovely and at a good price. Later that day I decided to buy it and called the office to leave a deposit before going to collect the following weekend (I was also px'ing my current car at the time which I was given a fair price for). On the call with the salesman I was advised I would need to leave a deposit of £1,000 to "guarantee the price".... this didnt seem right to me as the car was being advertised at £17k so surely this should be the price no matter what deposit amount was being left?? I played it safe and left a £500 deposit on a credit card as this then gives protection. I asked if the car was all mechanically sound and without any outstanding finance which was all confirmed as fine and correct. Later that evening after leaving the deposit I decided to do my own HPI check and the car came up as having outstanding finance against it. I then raised this with Tempast salesman who confirmed in an email that this was a loan taken out to purchase the car and it would be cleared the moment the car was bought by me in full the next weekend. I had a little concern but thought it should be ok if this was done and usual practice. I got a phone call on the Thursday before collection from the salesman at Tempast asking me if i could transfer the balance of the money for the car (over £12k) in advance of collecting on the Saturday as he didnt want any online banking issues on the day. I said there wouldn't be any issues and that Ideally I would like to make the payment once I arrived and saw the car on day of collection. He pressed me several times to make the transfer in advance as he was only going to be in for a short period and wanted to get the handover done as smoothly as possible. Again I wasn't happy about this so I said I would get back to him later. I thought it over and decided to transfer the money on the Friday afternoon as I didnt want any issues on collection myself and some friends said this could be normal for dealers to ask this but its not something I had hear of before and was a lot of money. Payment was confirmed as received and collection the next morning was also confirmed again. I then arrived with my wife in the px vehicle to collect the new car.... The car was valeted as agreed and with oil change as agreed and presented perfectly to me, no issues there. BUT, the final paperwork process left a lot to be desired.... I was literally taken through taxing the vehicle online and then has a strip torn off the log book handed to me and ushered out the door to the car. I asked about the finance being cleared and was told "yeah, I'll take care of that" to which I said I would like it confirmed to me before leaving. Was told "it will be done later that day" even though it was agreed the finance would be cleared at time of collection. I was there literally 15 minutes and then waved off in the new car. I've never as only wanted only for my money anywhere. Later that day I received confirmation that the old vehicle was transferred out of my name. Nothing in regards to finance being cleared nor putting the new vehicle in my name. several days and email passed and no replies to any email I sent about the finance being cleared or the vehicle being put in my name. 2 1/2 weeks later I decided to call the loan company myself to see what they could tell me and they confirmed the loan had only been paid off that day... I also called DVLA to see about the new logbook and told that it was just processed on the system and they had only just received the new info - NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. And no contact from Tempest at all at any time after they had my money!!! Bottom line for my experience is... good cars at good prices and possibly a good car dealership let down by broken promises and lack of communication. Made me feel like when I had a pocket full of money I was important and then once they had the cash they didnt care one bit!!

Good place to purchase cars, but prices creeping up. Not as cheap as they used to be.

The staff at Tempest 4 cars are incredible, including Liam who went out their way to find the Audi TT I wanted and helped finance /tax my car ready to leave! They also helped find me an A1 for my first ever financed car! Couldn’t fault any of them and do everything they can. Highly recommend them all. Thank you so much I can’t thank you enough

Bought a car from these guys yesterday and must say after spending 3 days going all over Sussex looking at cars. These guys by far are the best. No pushy or sales platter just very straight forward car sales. We only had one make and model in mind and Tempest had that and in excellent condition and a fantastic price. Eddie who dealt with us was so laid back I felt like it would of been rude to ask for money of as the car was just right for our budget. UPDATE After having the car after a week, both passenger side door rubber trims had started to fall off. Also brakes had started to squeek more then often. I phoned tempest to see what could be done, with no hesitation I was passed to the service department booked in asap and all fixed and repaired completely free of charge. Also a follow up call day after repairs to see if everything is up to my standard. These guys are the real deal, there sole purpose is to sell excellent cars and to offer a platinum after sales service. No sale first truth second round here. Thanks guys!!!

Welcoming friendly service.

I bought a great Seat Leon from the guys on Friday, and unfortunately I discovered that someone had gone into the front of it Monday whilst I was at work, knocking my drivers side fog light unit back inside the bumper! The manager of the service department took the car in, fixed the bumper and put the unit back in place without charging me. Can’t tell you how grateful I am. Cheers!!

I don’t think I could fault these guys in anyway, excellent communication, helpful and an extremely lovely team, always happy to help, I had my car delivered by Spencer and he was a delight to meet, very friendly and helpful, Liam and Mark couldn’t have been more helpful with arranging it all for me, I’m one happy customer.

We looked at a car on Sunday. The chaps there were pleasant enough despite being busy. What's odd and a little concerning is that the car that we'd seen on Autotrader was advertised one price but was £700 'in the flesh'. Once we'd subsequently seen the car, the car's price on Autotrader was then increased the next day by £500! Something feels not quite right.

We needed some urgent repairs done to our car before heading off for a long holiday drive with 2 small kids. The guys at Tempest appreciated that we had left it very late and they moved mountains in order to get the repairs done and the car back on the road in time for our departure. The courtesy car was awesome and they kept us in the loop with everything that was happening. We could not be more impressed with the professionalism and personal touch that we found from everyone that we dealt with at Tempest. We're looking forward to buying our next car from Tempest, what a team!

We purchased our car from them in January 2016 and are really pleased with the service they offered. There was no hard sale but good information provided and the car was a great price. We had a mechanical issue within the first 3 weeks and this was sorted out quickly and no questioned asked, all under their free 3 month warranty. We will certainly be using them again and are really happy to have found such a great garage.

Bought a lovely VW cc gt from Tempest. Delighted with the car and the service. Engine light came on after a few weeks and they couldn't have been more helpful in sorting it out without charge. Nice chaps. Highly recommended.

They sold us a good one. Five years later, our Touran is still going strong with no problems. Decent prices, good cars, and friendly service.

I can't stand main dealer salesmen so I've always used independent car dealers for the last 20 years and I have to say this is the best I have dealt with!! When I arrived all of the sales team were off on test drives but within a minute of getting there the owner came out and introduced himself explained that the other guys were all busy and said he would be more than happy to deal with me! I didn't mess him around told him where I was with the deal and have to say he was honest and straightforward from the off which made buying the car very easy! As the other guys came back from test drives etc they were all very friendly and Liam who I had spoken to on the phone earlier that day made a point of coming into the office and saying hello and having a bit of a laugh top man!! The car I purchased was like brand new and I have to say buying it from these guys was a pleasure I left there feeling like my purchase meant something not a feeling you ever get at a main dealer!! Good honest garage. They always do an excellent service/Mot and never overcharge or carry out unnecessary work. Very trustworthy. I definitely recommend this place to service your car or to buy a new car.
