Lucy Banks was a first class and very professional "trier" -- the asset was at first over-priced but on re-launch at a sensible and achievable figure she worked extremely hard and effectively to secure a good deal in a difficult marker and within the required (and pretty short) timescale. We had a very positive experience with Savills. James Barnett and his team worked hard to enable a quick sale, we hoped to at least achieve what the house was valued at and didn't, but it was not an easy market so are thankful for the sale itself. Whilst drawing up the brochure details we felt we had to remind those involved to make all the corrections raised and some information that we asked to be included never made it in to the brochure. However, overall every one we dealt with was very helpful, friendly, professional and always on hand to answer any questions.

Selling a large village house. Operating in a tricky falling market shows one who the good agents really are - and Savills Cambridge are without doubt (based on our experience) at the top. James and Lucy know their markets backwards, intuitively understood our position, priced accurately from the start and provided intelligent advice, when other agents had absolutely not. Both J & L were prepared to politely correct us if they felt we were wrong (we were), but what impressed me most was that their client care was not lip-service;- it was 24/7 when required and clearly genuine. Great job....Thank you.

James Barnett sold our large listed village property, 8 miles south of Cambridge, with stables and land, in March 2018. His experience in dealing with older properties, especially listed ones, was invaluable, as the paperwork required is now quite daunting. He was able to call in the experts we needed through Savills extensive contacts in all areas of property care. No sale is ever easy and being supported every step of the way by James and his team was a lesson in how these things should be done. Markets go up and down with the years, and you need someone who really knows their subject and has 'seen it all' and 'dealt with it all' over many years - you will find this with Savills, Cambridge.

We unfortunately had a long drawn out sale due to a number of unforeseen circumstances and we had also moved across the country so were unable to deal with things hands on ourselves. This all should have led to a very stressful process. However, with the attentive and experienced guidance of Lucy Banks, we felt in safe hands and were confident in the knowledge that she was always on top of things and driving our sale forward. What I found to be most reassuring was the regular contact and weekly updates which ensured we never felt left out the loop. This was particularly important given our distance from things. All in all, a very personal, considerate and professional service in a process that, for many people, is an extremely stressful time. I would definitely sell through Savills again and we even bought our new home in Bath through them!

Many thanks to Lucy and the team for getting us through a fraught time. We were lucky to have Savilles on both sides - our purchase and sale - and the customer service was excellent. The house was marketed well, at a sensible price and when potential buyers showed interest, they were converted to viewings and then followed through for feedback. A quick sale happened - no doubt because of this attention to detail. During the sale process, we were kept informed at all stages as to what was happening, we could always get hold of a member of the team to find out more, and they fought continually to keep both sale and purchase on track. There will always be problems in something as complex as buying and selling houses - it is how these problems are dealt with that makes the difference. We have been very impressed with the way everything has been handled.

Having spoken to the team at Savills, I decided that I wanted them to market my house. I didn't regret that decision. James gave advice on preparing the house for sale that was very delicately put to avoid offence. Saviils provided employees to handle viewing. They were very pleasant and professional. Grace was our main point of contact once the sale proceeded and negotiated with potential interested parties and achieved a very satisfactory price. Throughout the sale, and afterwards, the team were always approachable and helpful in resolving any issues that arose. This resulted in a sucessful sale.

Called up as I was looking for a property in Cambridge (I was moving from London) gave them a price range and they promptly told me they were an "upper class" estate agents and would never have properties in that price range. They could've told me they didn't have any in my price range. I felt insulted. They then said they could recommend "lower class" estate agents. Sorry I'm not "upper class" enough for you.

We were first introduced to Lucy Banks around 2015 when we were selling our Cambridge property and now 2017-18 buying another property ( fingers crossed) I was initially and still continuely impressed with Lucy as she does everything with professionalism and a superb sense of humour ( which sadly many agents tend to lack) ie she strives ( in fact makes it her personal mission ) to fully assess YOUR real situation and moves swiftly in the direction of “ making it happen” for all parties concerned from the immediate start As we all know we can select any agent out there to buy or sell our property however others don’t come close to Lucys skill sets ie she listens and “genuinely hears”what a client needs or wants are. I can’t recall any occasion when she wasn’t scribbling little notes down ie my boys hobbies / large kitchen/and location musts in our new home or feedback from past viewings etc Lucy can and does gain a very clear and detailed picture of what your new home needs to be and doesn’t bore you with properties that don’t come close via email/ phone calls but carefully selects each property offering with great care and a very close match We all accept there’s not such a thing as the perfect property out there but we all strive to get as close as possible From our personal experience many agents treat us as “just another client” ie ticking the boxes and hoping any property in your price point is meant for you Let’s face it most agents tell you anything ( from our experience). Lucy truly puts herself in your personal situation, assesses your TRUE NEEDS and factors in those that are desirable and rules out what you don’t need in the mix We have been searching for our country home for a few years now It’s so important that someone really knows you and your “ full package” true needs That’s why when it comes to both selling or buying we would, without hesitation, recommend the VERY BEST, Lucy Banks and her incredible team!
