Rymans are a good and varied stationary shop, but many of the products they sell can be purchased much cheaper elsewhere, if you are on a tight budget.

Very friendly staff who always say hello when I walk in and have good knowledge of what's in stock. I'm a stationery addict and they have a great range of coloured pens and pencils, lovely notebooks and some nice little accessories. The reason this is a 4 star review is that they are relatively pricey, and there are places very nearby that offer similar things for less money. Still, great customer service and a good shopping experience!

The Ryman are very friendly and there service is outstanding if they don't have product they are happy to order it for u. They help with a cheaper version of product to help cost. After going to this u will not go to another stationary shop.

I've been coming into this store for a year or two, the staff have always been really lovely, friendly and very helpful.
My review is due to the second hand smoke you are forced to breathe when you're in the store due to a Costa located next door with a smoking veranda outside.
When I walked into the store I inadvertently received a mouthful of a second hand plume of smoke....grim. Then once in the store you're forced to breathe this accumulation of second hand smoke, it's like being stuck in a pub before the smoking ban came into force.
I'm a non smoker and find it incredibly repulsive.
The doors are left open all day because if they're shut people think the store is closed or they walk into the closed doors apparently!
This issue really needs resolution as it really is quite hideously grim.
I feel for the staff having to work in those conditions.
I won't be going into the store until this issue has been resolved.
Please sort it out.

Every experience here has been a positive one, friendly staff, good service, the store is clean, tidy and well laid out. Prices are ok, often have some great offers.
Product range is pretty good, suitable for consumers or businesses alike, in fact you can have an account with them.
Conveniently located in the precinct in Ilkeston that has loads of parking with disabled parking spaces and a taxi rank.

After several failed attempts to urgently send money overseas via Western Union app and website, I visited this store where the staff were extremely helpful, gave accurate information and took the time to process my detailed request. The transfer was received in overseas bank account within 2 hours of sending it. Would definitely use the service again as it was much quicker and considerably cheaper than doing it through my bank!

I went to buy a scrapbooking kit to make for my friend and on the box it clearly stated £3 down from £6. So I went to buy that as it was the cheapest one they sold. When I went to pay at the till, the woman scanned it and it came up as £6, so I told her it said £3 on it. She checked it and said it did on the clearance sticker. However, it came up as £6 on the system. She then asked her colleague and said it was coming up as £6 when it clearly states that it is £3. She then turned the box over and it said £6 down form £12. The colleague then said, "No it isn't £3 it's 6. Someone has put a different sticker on." She then turned to the cashier and had a discussion with her and said that it was £6. The elder woman (colleague) then moved away and the cashier asked me if I still wanted to purchase it.
I was astounded by the lack of care that the colleague had for me as a customer, regardless of my age.
Stay clear of this place when that woman is on her shift! ????
