Booked my car in to have a persistent vibration issue looked into, they had a slot within three days of my call, when the car was with them I was given timely and detailed updates as to what they had found and I am pleased to say that they also rectified the issue completely. Polite, knowledgeable and punctual. Expensive like all main dealers but when the service is also top rate that is ok. Well done and thank you.

How did they miss this when carrying out pre delivery checks? Shocking I have no other words to describe the service. I saw the car online and arranged finance and it was delivered. 2017 Discovery HSE was delivered via a delivery truck and that all went without issue. Upon delivery the car was still paired with the previous owner, this was apparently removed which allowed me some connectivity but as the sim card reader appears damaged i cannot access everything. The rear seat pocket was hanging off and the attachments on one side were missing. The Trim by the passengers door was stuck on with sticky fixers. There are multiple scratches and marks on the paint work and i have now been waiting over two weeks for a touch up pen so I can carry out the repair myself. Shocked and Appalled

I went down harwoods of Pullbrough this morning for a test drive in the new Land Rover defender. I was kept waiting outside the building for 20 minutes before I had to ask someone whether or not they were actually bothering to do my test drive. When the salesman deemed to come out, he showed me around a filthy dirty car, it hadn’t been cleaned from the last test drive, the floors were covered in dried mud as was the cargo space. This is not acceptable, in normal conditions the car clearly not even been Covid cleaned either . The salesman's attitude was dismissive, bordering on rude. I have brought a number of new cars from Harwoods in the past, I will not be returning to them again.

Big thanks to Lee in the parts department. Needed some seals and loom for a defender ASAP. Told me to collect next day. Within 5 minutes had another call to say he’d have them with him in a couple of hours, which he could of quite easily not bothered doing. This meant I could get on my end and have it back to my customer within the same day. Feel like parts departments don’t get enough credit. So big thanks again.

However upon calling the service team today my opinion has changed so much that I would never deal with them again. Only wanted a tyre checking and was told I would have to wait a week. Harwoods have been professional and prompt throughout our dealings with them. When we had an issue with our Landrover Discovery (purchased from them 18 months previously) they arranged recovery and a hire car very quickly. An engine fault meant that replacement was necessary at a cost of £15,000. The work was not covered by the warranty but Landrover agreed to gratuitously cover the repairs. We are very grateful to Landrover and all the staff at Harwoods Pulborough for their efforts at a stressful time, particularly Lisa who was very helpful.

Don’t spend your money here. If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought a new Defender from Harwoods in 2014 which has had to go back repeatedly for warranty work. I’ve recently found out that while with Harwoods last year, they apparently caused a water leak in my vehicle while repairing something else. Harwoods at Pulborough have been extremely difficult to deal with. They’ve given their side of things which doesn’t make any sense and can easily be proved to be incorrect with photographs, emails from their own staff and accounts from an independent garage who’ve also looked at the car. When I asked questions they didn’t want to answer I was just ignored. Avoid this dealership.

I have now bought to cars from this place. What I can say stands out the most is their sales staff. I only deal with one person on the sales team when I want a new Landrover. That person is Martin McCallum. The guy creates a personal touch every time I am there. He is warm and welcoming and always bends over backwards to make sure I am buying the car I want, to my exact standards. Martin makes the experience an enjoyable one and I always leave feeling satisfied. He is also the go to guy when I have a Landrover and need something sorting. Seriously, if you go to Landrover Pullborough, ask for Martin. You won't be disappointed. The only reason it has four stars instead of five? The servicing department needs a rocket up the backside, the service from them is poor, that's putting it politely. If the servicing department upped their game, this would be the best Landrover showroom in the south.

Great experience - I deliberated for over three months and test drove far more than I should have. Duncan Glide is a legend and not a pushy salesman, and he took my jokes about his height very well. He also made me buy the one with gadgets which was a good move. I love the heated steering wheel

Incorrectly diagnosed the fault on my Discovery Sport, billed £1600 for service and repair, broke down a few days later with identical symptoms, car left unrepaired for almost a week at dealership, gave up waiting and now taking it elsewhere to get the repair done properly and for much less cost. I won’t be going back to Harwoods Pulborough, insincerely polite whilst staggeringly unhelpful!

Just bought a Land Rover Discovery from Duncan Glide at Harwoods Pulborough. I was greeted warmly upon arriving at the showroom and introduced to Duncan who helped me decide upon my beautiful new car! He patiently went through different specs with me and took me for a test drive there and then which I was extremely pleased about. I have now had my Discovery for 48 hours and I'm absolutely thrilled with it, both the way it looks and the way it drives - both fabulous! Good bunch of guys. Generally good service when the car is in with them, but their parts prices are ridiculous. Other dealerships will give you a much better price (sometimes up to 50% cheaper) without even negotiating and delivered to your door, where as parts team @ Harwoods refuse to even consider price matching even when you show them quotes from other LR dealers. Shame as this place is on my door step. Customer loyalty does not get you very far here.

If I had the option to give less than 1 star I would do so. I cannot comment on the service department however the experience with the sales staff and management has been truly shocking. Howard Thomas in particular I would steer clear of, he describes a car as immaculate and pushes fro a deposit, at the point of collection the car is then a "used" car and marks are to be expected. Please see attached photo to verify if you believe that is acceptable damage on an approved used vehicle of 50k, and its not the only mark, I have had to have the door handle and front of door painted also. The sales person in question also seems to have issues when it comes to figures, even when a settlement figure is typed in black and white he disregards it and works from a different figure. This of course benefits him, he then adjusts the figure and forces you to pay at point of collection. The car comes with no book pack, perfectly acceptable apparently, no service history print out and also no MOT certificate. all apparently completely acceptable for a used car from Land Rover Pulborough. Mileage also differed from finance documentation to what is present on the vehicle, again no doubt this helps the garage an not the customer. Maps on the car are also 3 years old, which can not only be disorientating, but dangerous when roads on the system no longer exist. Make sure you force this update before you pay a deposit, as they won't do anything about it afterwards. The management with regards to dealing with customer complaints is seriously lacking, all in all I would find an alternative approved garage when it comes to buying a used Land Rover.

Our first time using Harwoods Pulborough and it was a great experience. Russell was incredibly helpful from the moment we stepped in to the show room. He pulled out all the stops to find us our perfect car and a great deal without putting any pressure on us. He was honest and very patient answering all of our (many!) questions. I have used Harwoods at Pulborough for many years and always found their service to be exceptional. I recently required some new batteries for my keys and was served by Perran. Whilst I was looked after by Alistair, Perran sorted them out with no fuss. As usual it is always a pleasure to be looked after by the staff in this establishment, where service is their byword. There is only one way they could improve - have chocolate sprinkles available to go on top of the cappuccino!
