Another year, another beautiful design. You will find professionals serving you with a great smile and attention to detail. The two-coloured set up and the decoration are well done. Tea and cake, selected and made to perfection. Social distancing measures taken seriously. Unfortunately didn’t have time for a full afternoon tea, but I would definitely recommend a visit to Corinthia’s tea room.

I went to crystal moon lounge for the afternoon tea. We were offered a seat under the chandelier with amazing autumn decoration. The live piano was wonderful and the pianist was stopping by our table to ask if he could accommodate us something for our special day which is very sweet. The afternoon tea was delicious and fresh, the crab cake was my favourite, the pastries selection were amazing and beyond my expectation. The scones are really tasty too. We couldn’t finished the whole afternoon tea, it was really filling. The service was perfect and attentive. The whole experience was just so sophisticated. After trying a bunch of tea rooms in London, I could say this place have the best afternoon tea in town regarding food quality, atmosphere and service. Five stars no brainer.

We managed to squeeze in afternoon tea at the Corinthia before lockdown and it was the best afternoon tea I've ever had. It's a very relaxing and peaceful lounge with a live pianist, you have a wonderful selection savoury (our favourite was the crab cake), beautiful scones and just when you think you couldn't expect anything more with a wonderful set of pastries, they bring round a trolley of more cakes which you can choose from! It is an incredibly generous afternoon tea with very well balanced flavours. I am already looking forward to my next visit when I can.

We came here for a special celebration and I cannot tell you how great of an experience we had. We were a table of 5, with two members with gluten and lactose intolerances. They catered to them from the sandwich's to the scones. They loved everything about it. They made special sandwiches, scones, and fruit platter desserts just for them. We were blown away, worth the £65 each! The teas and customer service was fantastic!!! No complaints. The Italian gentlemen who was serving us, he was a hoot. We really enjoyed his company.

????COMPERING FROM MY EXPERIENCES???? Sandwiches and cakes are really good!!! I was really enjoying ❤️ but I would say tiny bit SHAME about services. Some of them really need to learn and training how to treat customer and how to talk as working in 5 stars hotel!!! I asked some waiter about “WiFi is not working?”but he say “I don’t know, maybe some problem but I don’t know” for me very wondering how he trained. Service was quite slow even they asked me to leave soon after 2hours and they never top up my tea, I understand it was Saturday afternoon fully booking but still they could watch around all table (if they are profesional) and would be better if they told us about “2 hours time limit” BEFORE we started afternoon tea then we could have control our time. I know normally if their is busy, 2hours limit table but all other place told me BEFORE!!! Not like “now” also I didn’t like how manager(!?)talked to me... his eyes was not smiling ????all in my opinion. But food was FANTASTIC especially Vegetarian sandwiches ????????so I put 3stars for this, if staff was nicer I would put 5stars.

The Corinthia has a wonderful setting for Afternoon tea in the Crystal Moon Lounge, the room is delightful with a modern autumnal feel with lovely flowers and chandelier in the middle. The Piano set in the entrance adds a touch of class and the pianist was very good, clearly passionate about his music. It was our wedding anniversary and we were congratulated upon entry and kindly given a cake slice to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Even nicer was the staff taking it upon themselves to change the cake last minute when the fact that my wife does not like chocolate came up in conversation. The sandwiches were good especially the egg and truffle. All meat and chicken is halal however there was a ham option on the menu, a little strange, would have been nice to have been switched to beef instead but this was a minor flaw. The scones were warm and sizeable served in a lovely box to keep them warm. The clotted cream was lovely and smooth and the rhubarb jam preserve was a great autumnal addition. The pastries were delicious particularly the Tartlet and Religieuse. In addition the sharing cake trolley was a unique addition with the Financiers particularly moreish. There is a healthy selection of teas available. The Mango Noir was exceptional as well as the Mellow exclusive black tea, The team proactively provide recommendations which is nice and also took a genuine interest in how we were finding the teas. Having experienced many afternoon tea in London the service was exceptional and up there with the best. The staff were warm, welcoming attentive and professional with a real focus on the little things to elevate and make the experience special. They even asked in a really friendly manner if we would like to take any additional new items home but we were stuffed (although I do regret it now! :). For anyone looking at the top afternoon tea venues in London, Corinthia should most certainly be at the top of the list.

I treated my husband who turned 50 today and we had a great time, he loves his afternoon tea and this ends a lovely day. The staff was excellent and very tentative to our needs without being over the top. Would highly recommend the afternoon tea.

Perfect hospitality with plenty of scrumptious sandwiches and cakes. The ambience was classic and chique whilst the service simply perfect. Overfilled on the sandwiches and the fabulous tea. Accommodate vegans too with advance notice

Amazing place for afternoon tea! Very accommodating to food allergies, and flexible with arrival times. We got there 10 minutes early because it was raining and it wasn’t a problem. The service was very good, and the food was even better. Very nice that food and tea is unlimited. Our server asked if it was our first afternoon tea and then very politely explained the menu to us. The atmosphere was very fun with the live piano music. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone.

If you require gluten free food don't go to the Corinthian hotel. I went for afternoon tea and all went well to start as the sandwiches were varied and appetizing but then came the scones. These were inedible. They were very thin and they were like chewing rubber. The cakes were reasonable except for the chocolate brownie which had the same consistency as the scones This was an afternoon tea which I would not want to repeat.

My wife and I visited The Corinthia on 26/10/2019 to have champagne afternoon tea, having watched a documentary about the hotel last year. The documentary featured the afternoon tea and the Crystal Moon Lounge where it is served. It looked great and I thought it was an experience we had to have. So I bought a gift voucher and presented to my wife as a Christmas present (albeit it was for both of us ????). The voucher came in a beautifully presented presentation box. I have to say that we were far from disappointed! We arrived for our 4.15pm booking and were warmly welcomed by staff. As we were shown to our table we were  instantly struck by the Crystal Moon Lounge and it's ambience and decor. Our table was directly beneath the chandelier that is the namesake of the lounge; and it was perfect. We were offered our glasses of champagne and then  given time to look at the choices of tea that were offered; I have to say that we are far from being connoisseurs and the tea sommelier offered us expert advice and assistance in making our choice. We both chose the Darjeeling first cut tea which proved to be absolutely delicious and  perfect  with our sandwiches scones and fancies. It lived up to everything that was described in the menu and that the sommelier said of it and we ended up having a number of refills. The sandwiches were lovely and were also tailored to my wife's preferences. They were replenished when we finished them and then replenished again! After our sandwiches we were served warm scones with clotted cream and two of the tastiest jams ever. Then it was time for the fancies. Well....all I can say is they exceeded our expectations! We could not eat them all and as such they were boxed up for us to take away at the end. This was our own fault as we ate too many sandwiches and is far from a criticism of the menu We have nothing but praise and compliments for the staff and the delicacies that the afternoon tea offers. The staff were professional, charming, attentive and sociable and clearly knew their job inside out, making our experience wonderful. Lastly but far from being least was the wonderful background piano playing by pianist Kevin Lee. Mr Lee is a truly unassuming yet talented individual who took time to visit our table and speak with us, asking if we had any requests for tunes he could play. We mentioned a few, each of which were played perfectly. Mr Lee really made the afternoon pleasurable. In a nutshell a very well deserved⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. This is an experience we shall definitely indulge in again!

Went to the Corinthia for afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. The sandwiches and the scones were lovely. The cakes looked good but were a bit hit and miss. Our main issue was the smell of cigars coming from the closed terrace. It made the whole experience unpleasant. The smell was so strong, it was as if they allowed smoking indoors. After complaining they said they were aware of it and assured us they won't smoking cheap cigars - a bit of a joke for the price.

I wrote the below review some 7 months ago. However having gone back to Corinthia just a few weeks back to celebrate my husband's new job, I'm quite disappointed. I'd called in advance and asked for a specific menu and had also explained that we were celebrating an occasion and requested a small cake ( nothing more than what is already provided in the afternoon tea) to be brought out at the end to congratulate him. However upon arriving, the staff were firstly confused re my reservation. Once established that we had a reservation, they were not aware of the dietary requirements. I am vegetarian yet I had to be a pain and send food back as my sandwiches were not vegetarian. Despite requesting this in advance, there was no vegetarian option available for me, except cucumber and butter sandwiches. At the end, there was no mention of congratulations or a surprise plate for my husband. So all in all, he didn't even come to realise that this entire outing was a surprise congratulatory event for him. Additionally, we felt that one of the staff members was quite abrupt and impolite to a group sat nearby to us. This went on for a while and made us feel uncomfortable. The service seems to have plummeted unfortunately and I didn't particularly enjoy the food either. Not what I was looking forward to. I would have certainly booked elsewhere if I'd known that the menu would be so limited and that the service would not be as it has been in the past. Will not be returning unfortunately. _______________________ I have enjoyed every trip to the Corinthia for afternoon tea. I first came here five years ago for a friends bday, and have been returning annually since. The service, quality of food and ambience are all consistently excellent. Definitely on the pricier side, however they have never disappointed. The staff are always very attentive and keen to help. A perfect experience each and every time.

Excellent service, A1 staff, very very helpful. I didn't like where the table was booked for two. It was like a corridor and not very comfortable. Table for more thn 2 looked much much better thn table for 2. I felt very disappointed where they put the table for 2.

Pleasant ambiance, bright with piano player. Teas were excellent, but wait staff recommendations for second samplings were a bit off compared to initial ordering and food pairing. Service, while polite, was quite slow that day, teas got mixed up, etcetera. Waiter apologized as they were "short-staffed." Finger sandwiches and scones were nothing special, but pastries were pleasing to the eye. Overall not specifically recommended. Likely other afternoon teas of better value for less money.

Third time I've been now and experience is amazing as always. Staff are knowledgeable and really friendly and the food is equisite. It's on the pricy side but food is unlimited and I always get the rose Champagne afternoon tea as this is delicious. I've been with friends, my partner and my mum for her birthday (birthdays they also bring out a little cake as well if you let them know :) ) and each time has been great. They also change the menu around so you get something different each time. Also if you can't eat everything you can take a little goody bag home as well :)

The lobby at the Corinthia itself is beautiful, bright, spacious, with natural light coming in through tall glass walls on one side. The centerpiece hanging in the middle of the room is a very cool light "sculpture", which is just one of many design features that give the space such a great feature. As guests of the hotel, we went to get afternoon tea after a long day at work. Upon sitting (you can seat yourself, you do not need to wait for someone to assist you), we had one of the employees come right over. They explained the process and options, and were very attentive and friendly throughout. We enjoyed the sandwiches, and the individual I was with even had a second round of them. We tried multiple teas, which was very fun. The sandwiches are presented very well, as are the desserts, which come on a tiered tray. A fun and relaxing experience, I highly recommend it!

Had afternoon tea at the Corinthia this afternoon and I’m sorry to say, it was rather disappointing. The food was ‘ok’ (scones and cakes in particular) but the sandwiches did not appear to be made with fresh bread and were disappointingly dry? The service was frenetic to start with (at one time 2/3 waiting staff all hovering) but after an hour or so, they were difficult to catch!? The other issue was the main waitress ‘looking’ after us - it was virtually impossible to understand anything she was actually saying, as her English was so unclear - just ridiculous? We would not recommend you have tea here, there are many far superior establishments all over London and at £65 a head, we would not visit again.

Splendid and worth a visit. Sit down to indulge in one of the perfectly crafted patisseries while enjoying the ambiance with someone else. If you can splurge on the afternoon tea then by all means do. The tea list is impressive and the staff extremely helpful and of course, impeccably dressed.

Very disappointed to say that the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. We had been so looking forward to our festive afternoon tea on this beautiful hotel, but unfortunately have to admit that it was a complete waste of time and frankly, it wasn’t worth the hassle and the £75 per person we ended up paying. Had to wait for EVERYTHING - tea, sandwiches, scones, to the point where it became irritating. The final straw came when we were asked to vacate the table within the next 15 minutes, but that of course there was no rush. Then the waitress started cleaning up the table and using something like mr muscle, which obviously went everywhere, so we had to stand up and leave straight away. Also be prepared to see TINY portions. APpaling, Ritz was 10/10 in comparison to Corinthia, don’t waste your time
