Hello, there is a wonderful contrast between the classical architecture of the museum and Picasso’s free wheeling expressions. There’s some great work here and the museum is comfortable and the work is accessible and well lit. There’s a warm vibe at this gallery and I truly appreciate it. I love this place. It rings with the spirit of the man. It’s a must — especially if you’re fan of Picasso’s surreal cubist works. The reflection of the Spirit of Picasso is alive and well here and and the collection of his work will take you to a place of inspiration and reflection on the magical nuances of life here on earth.

The Picasso museum in Paris is definitely one to see. It holds some very interesting pieces of work both by Picasso and some other very influential French artists over the course of recent history. Doesn't take too long to get through the entire museum, but I can tell you it's definitely worth going there to check it out.

Really enjoyed this museum. It is easy to finish in a day unlike the Louvre. The art was all Picasso which was nice and it was all different types of pieces. They had some sketches and paintings as well as some items. The admission was 14€ kinda like everywhere else and it took a decent amount of time to get through the whole thing. Lots of informative reading on the sides of the paintings and quotes. It took us only about 5 min to get in, there was hardly any wait.

One of the best museum experiences of my life. Truly one of my favorite experiences and destinations in Paris. If so-called abstract art is not your thing—if you don't know or care for fragmentation—you're probably not going to enjoy. But if you know Picasso, if you like Picasso or want to know more, this will be more informing than most browses of the internet. The staff kind of rushed me out prematurely at closing time, but the receptionists were kind. Plan on revisiting if I get the chance.

Very lovely experience! Definitely worth a visit... Always amazed how many excellent works of art can be collected. Here is no exception. The pieces are of high quality and a very good selection from his works. It is placed in a manner to tell a wonderful story. Some of the pieces are very unique! The building the pieces are housed is very beautiful and well maintained. There are several lovely restaurants and shops in the area...

Must go if you love art!!! The museum was very nice and very interesting. I knew I would like it a lot but was even better than I expected it. Take it in little by little to understand it even more and appreciate it even more. At the end, you can go and sit back for a little bit in the small park there. It’s very peaceful. After you leave the museum just walk around this area of Le Marais, it’s got a very special feel with really nice restaurants and bars.

We’ve been lucky enough to catch a very special exhibition here from the masterpieces of Calder and Picasso. It was a very well organized and installed exhibition, explained a lot without giving too much information. Based on this you could understand Picasso’s art, even if before you thought it isn’t your piece of cake. A very educational exhibition, one of the bests’ in this category so far. Check this place, even with kids, the curator(s) know what and how to show, and what information should be given. The building is also cool, so it was a real surrealistic experience to see Picasso and Calder in a building built in the XVI. century.

Fantastic building - interesting exhibition, but the cartoon / poetry / literature theme isn’t the best if you can’t read French. They have a vast stock of Picasso work though so will definitely check out the next exhibition when all the paintings will have been replaced

Wonderful museum for Picasso aficionados. Not only do you get to see a ton a Picasso in one place but the space that houses the works is incredible. There is a Calder- Picasso exhibition through June 2019. Rent the audio guide to get an explanation of their relationship and insights into how they influenced each other. Worth the 4€ fee on top of the 14€ admission. The museum is a 4 story palace so allow approximately 2 hours to appreciate these masters. The grounds are beautiful as well. Expect large crowds on Sunday afternoon. This is a must stop. Don't miss the Cezannes and Manets

It may seem like a small museum but you can easily spend 3+ hours here. Nice collection and be sure to check out any special exhibits. The garden looks very nice but we didn’t go as it was raining quite heavily.

This is a very nice museum and it doesn’t seem like it’s visited very often. There were not very many people in line and you don’t have to fight the crowds to see all of the beautiful artwork. I highly recommend adding this to your museum list while in Paris.

A great museum you can enjoy free of charge every first Sunday of the month. You will find a great array of Picasso’s works of art. The museum shows also the development of Picasso’s style throughout his life. What is impressive is that there are many photographs where you can see Picasso himself with the artwork that is at the same time exposed in the National Museum of Picasso. Enjoy the visit!

Excellent museum, one of my favorites in Paris. Great historic house with original furniture and lights by Diego Giacometti. A lot of important Picasso paintings in the collection, probably one of the best in the world, including some rare pieces you'd never guess are actually by the spanish master

Beautiful museum with very interesting exhibitions. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition about Picasso and comics. My only complaint would be about the logistics for such a major museum : online reservation - with its fee - is mandatory (they won't even let you go in to buy a ticket for later on the same day) and they close too early (they'll kick you out of the galleries at 5:30 pm sharp!). Still worth a visit if you plan accordingly.

I stepped in as part of Rick Steves "Marais Walk" (in his Paris guidebook - highly recommended). I'm not exactly a huge fan of the weird Picasso style, but the museum has many of his paintings and other works and it is laid out conveniently for visitors. There was a combo exhibition with Alexander Calder when I was there and they did a great job of displaying similar works for us to compare the styles and subject matters.

Stumbling across the Musée National Picasso, almost accidentally, I was instantly enamoured with the experience that it offered. Contrasted with the multitude of museum and gallery experiences available in Paris, the Musée National Picasso is one that stands out for its taste of authenticity and intimacy. Offering an insight into the lesser-known (or rather less-famous) aspects of Picasso's works, the museum features several sequestered side-rooms dedicated to the display of early sketches, sculptures, collaborative works, and even pieces from Picasso's near-contemporaries that allow an opportunity to interact with art in the inception of its genius. If you wish to view art in an environment that allows you to be close to the canvas, almost as though the artist were a close personal friend that had invited you to a private viewing, the Musée National Picasso is a must. You might not be well-positioned to boast about the pieces that you have seen, or cite any widely-known paintings, but you will leave feeling as though you were part of something real and original.

Impressive building to house this work. Mostly between the wars but a few earlier and a few 1970s. Picasso’s own collection fascinating. Very well presented and well explained - the pictures of night and day and the magic work. Excellent museum.

It's good. Needs entry ticket. Audio guide available at cost of 4 euro. Closing time is at eve 5.00 pm. I could visit -1floor and 2nd and 3rd floor. Rest floor were closed due to some renovation work. In such situation, they give reasonable deduction in entry fee. Free luggage room is there. Neat and clean washroom available.

Just go.. it is fantastic and it is going to make you look at paintings very differently. the museum itself is not too large.. with quality pieces on every floor. this place will keep you talking for a very long time.

Better than the Picasso museum in Barcelona, especially if you're specifically interested in cubism; the one in Barcelona is more of a retrospective with pieces throughout the decades (but with far fewer notable works than in this museum). Not very crowded, and you can see everything in 1-2 hours. Worth visiting especially if you have the Paris Museum Pass. Unfortunately basically nothing is in English.

Not an easy place to find especially if you are on foot. But you will not regret finding it. Some great works of Picasso is on display. The building itself is magnificent but the interior seems to have been refurbished to reflect a more modern environment. Entry is included in your Paris or Museum Pass but there aren’t that huge a crowd here. Security is tight as per usual practice around Paris. You are also required to leave your bags at the bag counter but again does not seems to be tightly enforced. Great for a 1-2 hour escape into cubism. ????????????

It's difficult to put into words how amazing Picasso was an artist. Some say he was perhaps the greatest of his time and this museum really does capture his greatness. I visited in March 2020 and although there were no exhibitions the permanent galleries were open and available to view. The price was actually reduced from €16 to €11 as some of the rooms were being made ready for an upcoming exhibition. I toured two floors and saw lots of Picasso's scetches his books his notes and lots of paintings and other works. Lots of great information everywhere and in multiple languages. Great staff who speak many European languages and will always be positive and proactive to help. I really love the way the museum is designed and accessible to all who wants to visit.

Absolutely LOVE this museum! Free WiFi and I face-timed my daughter from there and showed her some of the pictures. Buy tickets online prior to going. Large place and easy to move around and take your time; but so much to see.

It was my first time visiting this Picasso museum and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Before the visit I had read somewhere that this museum did not have big pieces by Picasso but I found the collection wonderful. His works are displayed in chronological order and you can learn about the different phases as his style evolved. It was also very interesting to see Picasso’s personal collection of paintings by other painters like Cézanne and Rousseau. Hôtel Salé is a very beautiful and elegant mansion to house the fantastic collection. You can also enjoy strolling the fashionable Marais neighbourhood after visiting the museum.

Very nice museum with a decent collection, worth your two hour visit, especially if you are a Picasso fan. I would recommend starting on the 3rd floor (the artist’s private collection) and making your way down, instead of the usual path. Price: 17 Euros +5 if you wish to get the audio tour.

What we saw was wide ranging and interesting. We liked the links between Picasso and his artist friends and seeing their art. Disappointed to miss the new show on 2 closed floors. Staff was courteous and helpful. The audio tour was informative. The gift shop was well stocked and contains gifts, etc. There could have been more Picasso’s important paintings.

Very interesting museum and it was included in the Paris museum pass. It had some details and history about Picasso and his art work. It was interesting to learn all this about his work in furniture and place decoration as well as the real art and other stuff. We were there around 5:39 and it was about to close, so we didn’t stay for long as we wished. The good thing is there is a nice gift store right in-front of it and it had really cools stuff. Got a nice poster for my fav Picasso art and enjoying it.

One of my favorite museums in Paris. Totally manageable and beautiful. It wasn't crowded when we went, even though it was in the afternoon, in July. We loved the GUERNICA exhibit.

Interesting presentation of Picasso’s work. To create a different view on his art, the museum is proposing thematic temporary exhibitions like recently Cadet VS Picasso. Overall I was a bit disappointed for the price asked at the entry, I was expecting more major pieces of art from him and something a little more interactive without to take their audioguide. The space is also strangely organized. ... big rooms almost empty, small ones full of pieces... visit walking direction not clear.

Yes they don’t have a few of his most decorated pieces of art but this is still one of my favorite museums in Paris. Love the abstract art. So different than all the other museums.

Picasso's work cannot be found all in one place and expositions are often influenced by chance. Few are the places where you not only meet the artist and his oeuvre, but also gain an insight into the 'how' and 'why'. The Colbert addition proposes a genial juxtaposition that the human mind craves for unknowingly. These serendipitous instances allow a fortunate glimpse into a world where nothing seems impossible. Make sure you go through all floors - more often than not - perplexion hides around the corner.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Museum. We arrived just in time to grab a quick lunch at the Cafe and then head to our self guided audio tour before the crowds. Everything was easy to find and directions very clear. The shops could be better stocked with items that sell out fast given it is the busy season for tourists. I was searching for a particular bracelet. I even went to the shop across the street as directed but alas they were all out.

Each time I find myself with a new art pieces in this wonderful museum. There are other artists paintings too and I’ve found Degas’s earliest sketches and it was mind blowing. Of course all the Picasso’s as well.

Good collection in a beautiful building. Charcoal drawings, paintings, sculptures, by Picasso and Calder. The wire sculptures were especially interesting. A bit of a walk from the nearest metro but it's a nice walk on residential streets with very little traffic in the Marais district.

I love the layout of his works. They do a good job on guiding you through Picasso’s career. The building and architecture are visually stunning and it has lots of ornate details. If you go during Nuit Blanche, this museum is included and I believe it is also free on the first Sunday of every month but don’t quote me on that. My most favorite part was the room with the sculptures and videos that showed Picasso with his family on vacation it really made him seem like a real person and it was cool to get a sense of his personality. It is in the same general area of Paris as the George Pompidou center which also has a great collection of Picasso works so next time, I would go to both on the same day. Places like this are the reason why people fall in love with Paris ✨✨✨

Amazing museum filled with tons of art from the legend Picasso himself. There are also many more artists’ work that you can view there. You can spend hours going through each floor of the museum. They arrange it beautifully and an organize it in a nice timeline style. Go check it out!
