Great place for browse, a meal & coffee. The farm shop is not as expensive as some I have been to. The produce is exceptional and the restaurant is great. They do fantastic breakfast and nothing is too much trouble. Plus there is an excellent play area for children outside. A great find!

While staying at Chard we came here for food because it was one of the top rated places to have food. I can happily say that we were not disappointed. The food is all cooked fresh and the ingredients come from their farm. They have good portions but if you want a smaller portion you just ask and obviously it will be cheaper as well. We enjoyed our food that much that we went a second time. If you go down to chard I would recommend going there for food. The shop was good too. They sell some interesting stuff and we picked up a couple of things for people back home. We will definitely go again if we go back to chard.

Called in for a joint of beef hoping the joints we had years ago could be replicated, after years of inferior meat we were delighted to buy and roast a wonderful joint of rib on the bone.....we will be back!!

I would like to say a massive Thankyou to Barleymows for arranging a beautiful cream tea for my mum and dad's 20th anniversary , along with the flower's and balloon ,the colour coordination ,it all looked beautiful , all arranged over the phone , very helpful staff , Margret and all the other ladies that helped you really made it very special . Thankyou so much ,10/10 service , highly recommended.

Much improved over the last year with a new layout and the addition of a flower shop. The deli counter has an improved range with many local cheeses as well as a good choice of local pies, meats and many other deli staples. The butchery section is as good as ever with choice cuts of local meat. Excellent cafe on site. This farm shop had most things that you could want. Local beers and cider are some of my favourites. Very good access from the A30 and ample parking make this a highly recommended stop off.

We moved to the area a year ago and with the restrictions in place its not been easy. Barley Mow has become out local supermarket, the staff are always wonderful, and we don't really need to go elsewhere. Thank you for being there????

Fresh, reasonably priced food served by friendly staff. Good menu variety and portion size. In addition to the restaurant they have a well stocked farm shop with locally farmed produce and gifts. Well worth a visit and would recommend without hesitation.

A beautiful little Farmshop/cafe for both breakfast and cake (as we visited twice) the only downfall was trying to pay. If it wasn't for the covid19 rules we could've just paid at the counter but instead had to wait at our tables. Very clean, good food and we'll probably go back if in the area.

Three of us had lunch yesterday. The food itself was good quality , but really disappointed as plates were cold and the only thing really hot was the potatoes the rest was warm. It was really busy so didn't complain as girls were rushed off their feet. Not sure what happened as normally food is really hot . This is the first time I have experienced this

Always a positive experience. A beautiful local farmshop packed full of all sorts of food, drink, homeware, gifts and Christmas decorations. Fantastic covid precautions in place too. Feel very safe and secure shopping there.

My favourite place to eat out, portion sizes are LARGE, so always tend to ask for a small size if I’m going to eat there. Food has always been top notch, And lovely staff, all work so hard, and I applaud you in busy times, because it does get busy ????
Atmosphere is very family oriented, and down to earth, the shop is brilliant as is the food they sell.

The fare is good but very unfriendly staff. Even in this Covid situation there can be better interaction between staff and clients. We hadn't booked as we only wanted a mid morning drink and cake but to be honest we felt we were unwelcome.

We had lunch here today and really enjoyed the food. The dishes were well cooked and hot, even the peas were hot which is unusual for a restaurant! There was a good choice of food on offer at a reasonable price. We will be back soon!
