What a fabulous experience and some fabulous guidance without pressure . We initially looked at a lovely r129 but preferred the historic indulgence of the r107. Had a fabulous choice of vehicles and have found a real cracker. Beautifully prepared too. Thank you Bruce, Joe and Renee for a lovely buying experience. I had my R129 in for some MOT and suspension work. The service I received was first class. Their knowledge and expertise was better than i have experienced from other MB independent garages that I have used closer to home. Bronwen was my point of contact and she was friendly and professional. Although not local I am booking the car back in for some further work later in the year.

Just a quick note to say thank you for both the work and also for the wonderful valet! The car has not looked as good for a long time and was a joy to get in to and not be faced with the broken panels and sticky tape!! To actually be able to reposition the seat was also a joy!!

After wanting to own a classic Sl for many years, I finally decided to buy one. After hours of research, the Sl shop stood out as the best place to purchase one, despite living a two hour drive away. From my first phone call to Bruce, it was obvious his passion and knowledge is superb. After a couple of emails, he suggested a visit to the showroom, I was immediately impressed, every car is an outstanding example, all presented to a very high standard. I recently took my R129 SL500 Silver Arrow to the SL Shop for a health check. The car is low mileage and nicely maintained but hasn't been thoroughly examined beyond the relatively quick check-overs it gets when it's serviced and MOT'd. The SL Shop health check is very detailed and the report provides a good summary of the overall condition of the car, with recommendations and estimates of the work needed to address the issues found. I decided to have all of the highlighted work done, which included cleaning and rust-proofing of the underside, as well as some minor repairs / cosmetics and replacement of some mechanical parts that they said were showing early signs of failure. The car was presented back in beautiful condition and is running superbly with noticeable improvements in the steering, engine smoothness and power delivery. Highly recommended.

I live in Washington DC and for sometime have been purchasing parts from the SL Shop for our Mercedes R107 for a little while now. While the actual transactions are online, because of various factors related to exporting the parts from the UK to the US and some basic technical questions, I have correspond via email with their staff on most purchases.
The level of service I’ve received is second to none and the technical information provided by them is invaluable. Even when I factor in the five hour time difference, their response times are generally faster than I get from local companies. So if this is the level of service they provide from their parts shop, I can only image that the service from vehicle sales and service shop must equally be second to none. Pricing is extremely competitive and the parts inventory the SL Shop has is probably the best anywhere.
These guys have a true passion for the vehicle so international customers should have no concerns when dealing with them. They really need to open a US operation!

My 300SL was delivered to me in Suffolk 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I was unable to remove the hardtop. After contacting Bruce at the SL Shop he arranged for Simon to make a 6 hour long round trip to help. I cannot tell you how daft I felt when a half hour before he arrived I and a friend removed the top with no difficulty. However Simon made a small adjustment to the cable, took the time to run through the lifting and stowing of the roadster top and then headed back to Stratford upon Avon! Now whatever language one speaks that is 5 Star Service with Bells on! Many thanks.

If it wasn't for The SL shop my 1972 350sl would not be on the road it's as simple as that as I'm sure 90 percent of SL owners would agree! As for service it's more like talking to friends with something in common and a lot of the parts they supply you just can't get anymore and quality work thanks.

Visited with a friend a few days ago.... epic. Not much more to say. For any fan of the seminal SL, You have got to see this place. Must the the biggest R107 car showroom in Europe if not anywhere. All ranges from daily runners to epic fully refurbed show cars. Bruce gave us a huge chunk of his afternoon to take us round. I thought I knew a thing or two about SLs before, but alas, no.
If you are after one of the classic SLs, yo d be mad to buy one elsewhere or at least not to talk to these guys beforehand. Enough said.

The SL Shop made purchasing an SL a real pleasure.
I had been looking for a while for a really good example of a late R107 V8 SL. However, until going to The SL Shop I either saw a lot of 'mutton dressed as lamb' or very over-priced examples with little history. Bruce gave plenty of his time over the phone and in person to make sure I was happy with the car I spotted and detailed it beautifully, including some paintwork. Bruce inspired a great sense of trust and I can only applaud his professionalism. A big thanks to Russell too for the car's preparation.
The SL Shop has enabled me to get exactly what I desired, with completed trust and without the unjustified price tags that I saw out there.

Just bought my first SL from Bruce and his team at the SL Shop - notwithstanding the current Covid lockdown they have all gone out of their way to have my new car ready.
Top people who are customer focussed with a very real in depth knowledge, built across a wide team all available to call upon for help and support in all matters SL.
I have also been particularly attracted by the great warranty terms and the new Care Plan which takes all the worry out of my motoring - so rather than sit and look at the car in my garage i hope this time i will actually drive it!

I bought a fuel pump from the SL Shop for my 1972 350 SL Mercedes. The pump arrived via Parcel Force the next morning. When my mechanic was fitting the pump he encountered a problem. I phoned the SL Shop and spoke to Tom and Ray. The advice they gave enabled my mechanic to rectify the issue. I am very impressed with the advice and support offered by the SL Shop and I have no hesitation in recommending their services. Thank you Tom and Ray.

Probably great if you are local but have had open dialogue with the SL shop twice in the last 12 months on separate issues and frankly they couldn't be more unhelpful if they tried. To anyone based London or further south, I would suggest trying someone else.
It is also pretty suspect the fact that most of the "reviewers" on here have only one review to their name....oldest trick in the book that....

Can be quite expensive,and not as professional as they say. After they loads of works on my 560sl they forget to put the AC compressor back and after I went back to them because the AC wasn't working I've been told it might be something else. They didn't had a good look at it to see if the belt is on or not.drove to Germany with it like that. I had it done in Germany.
