I have taken a wonderful employment opportunity at Milners at the start of June 2020. I have never been in the flooring sales environment. I have been taught so much about the flooring industry by the excellent team at Milners. I must say I enjoy coming to work and I throughly love the team. I am so great full for the team for giving me this amazing opportunity. I learn something new every day and what I love the most is taking the initial steps for a floor covering to see it being laid and to top it off hearing back from customers about how pleased they are. I can’t wait for the future I have with Milners and I’m so proud to represent the well thought of family name.

An absolutely outstanding job! The new extension to our church, St Mary's in Headley, is shaped as an octagon so we wanted the flooring to complement the building design. We worked with Milners using Amtico to develop the design with a central motif and with the surround laid to reflect the octagon. What a stunning result! The flooring certainly enhances the extension and Garry Milner and his colleagues have been a pleasure to work with. Thank you Milners!

Can't comment on their products but was there for a week working in the warehouse and never saw a penny for the work I did and back still hurts to this day with what you're expected to lift, never even got so much as a thank you for returning the uniform

Milners have just re-carpeted a large house for us in Surrey. Our experience has been very positive. They were competitive on price, the house visit and quote was extremely diligent and the fitting was quick and to a high standard. Having agreed the work immediately before lockdown we were of course worried that the break in the supply chain and subsequent temporary closure of the business was a cause for concern. Despite this hurdle, we were kept updated frequently and as soon as business began to reopen our work was completed. Very happy to strongly recommend Milners.

We worked with Garry and the Milners team to re-carpet and relay wood flooring for our house renovations. We also selected Milners for the new curtains.
The service at Milners was top notch and patient with our changing design plans and variable builder's timelines. The installation team was friendly and very thoughtful in the design and placement of the wood flooring patterns.
We are very happy with the results and would happily recommend Milners to anyone undertaking major or minor renovations.

The standard of service, advice and expertise in every instance has been nothing short of remarkable. Added to this their prices are always competitive.
Their staff are all an absolute delight and the workmanship of the fitters - with both hard and soft flooring -is outstanding.
I would never cross my mind to go anywhere other than Milners for floor covering.

Milners have just done a fantastic job making and hanging endless blinds and curtains. Isobel is incredibly helpful and patient, being able to locate the right fabric in countless sample books and calculating fabric and wallpaper lengths; Dave has a sharp eye and talent for hanging blinds and curtain poles, compensating for wonky Edwardian ceilings! It makes the entire process a pleasure - interacting with such lovely and skilled people.

Very expensive and the staff I spoke to seemed to not have a clue, one of the guys there told me that karndean lacing comes in 8metre long strips ,i told him that wasn't possible but he was adamant, at this point I decided to give this place a swerve and leave, was genuinely in to make the order there and then as knew exactly what I wanted. They had no idea I'm a floor layer and have been doing it for years, shame.

I have just had a new carpet for my hall, stairs and landing. I went to Milners in Ashtead to make my choice and was given so much time and help. Nothing was too much trouble and for that reason I am delighted with my purchase. Choosing new carpet is a daunting business and one where you cannot afford to make what could be an expensive mistake.
So my thanks go to all the helpful staff at Milners for giving me the time needed to make my choice and then of course for the expert laying of the new carpet. I am thrilled with the result.

The range of flooring on display is very impressive, allowing you to see decent sized samples of what you’re interested in. I dealt mainly with Tony who was knowledgeable, helpful, and very patient. I had carpets and an amtico floor laid and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Milner’s again. The after sales customer service has been second to none and I have very much appreciated the personal touch.

We used the services of Milners in late December 2018. They supplied & fitted replacement carpet tiles in some areas of our open-plan sales office. When it transpired that our current carpet tiles were no longer manufactured, Milners were extremely helpful in sourcing a very similar match. The carpet fitter was very pleasant to deal with on the day, he was very tidy and accommodating. We hadn’t used Milners before, but following our first experience with the Company I am pleased to confirm that we are looking to use their services again.

Just had carpets and Amtico flooring installed. Tony Wheeler, Milners, looked after me. He was patient, helpful, friendly, professional and, above all, offered a competitive quote. Backed up by expert fitters this was, in more ways than one, a seamless operation - you can't see the joins! I can't praise them highly enough.

We had a very disappointing experience with Milners. We needed a carpet, and as our local independent shop we went straight to Milners.
Initially we noticed prices were higher than we had seen elsewhere. They came to measure, and quoted for a larger area than we expected, and were not able to provide any basis for these measurements.
As such, we tried a second local supplier for a comparative quote. Sure enough, for the same carpet, better quality underlay and faster installation, not to mention 10% smaller area than Milner's mystery measurements, their quote was £1000 less than Milners. In other words, Milners was around 50% more expensive than a competitor for an identical product. They also offered to carpet our stairs for free with the off-cut area.
Pretty disappointing, and due to incredibly slow communications time with them we just went with the competitor and have the installation booked in for next week.

Had my Kitchen and bathroom replaced with Amtico and wow! Truly professional throughout the process..my floors look amazing.
Even when I changed the back end of the kitchen to turn in a different pattern they were accommodating and got what I was looking for spot on.
So I decided to use them to give my office space a new carpet and were quick in booking me in a fitting and working around me whilst I had my YouTube vlogging in full swing.
Once again thank you guys for an amazing job, can not thank the team enough.

I'm so disappointed to have had such a different experience to all of the other reviewers.
I urgently need a carpet for our new home which is nearing the end of it's renovation. I came to Milners and wasn't acknowledged for quite some time by the staff. Eventually I was asked if I needed help but I didn't feel that the person helping me could even be bothered. I had come straight from an appointment at Carpetright in Epsom, in which the lady had asked me questions about which type of carpets I needed, colours, if I had pets, what she personally recommended etc..
The gentleman at Milners asked me NOTHING. I pointed out something that I liked but was told nothing about the carpet. He slammed (literally) a book of carpets down in front of me to look through. At this point he asked if I had the measurements and I said no, could someone come out to measure and quote (like the other two companies who are quoting me for have done). He said 'ummm...where do you live'. I told him and he said again 'Ummm....we could....', hesitantly. At this point I felt my custom really wasn't welcome and this man just couldn't be bothered so I said I'll actually leave it for now and maybe come back with my partner. Obviously I'm not going back there.
I feel really cross about it after having such a good meeting at Carpetright 30 minutes beforehand. I'm not sure if I had gone in with my partner and not as a lone female would I have been taken more seriously.
