As the owner of Original Car Spa I've used Primo for eight years now and have around 20 sets of wheels a year refurbished. I rely on my suppliers to give a good service for my clients and Primo are the longest serving supplier for me.
During my time with Primo I have had one set of wheels gone wrong. A new paint / lacquer mix had been used and had gone wrong.
I spoke with Kevin the owner. He was round within 24 hours, wheels picked up and returned in a further 48 hours completely redone with updates and a no b/s apology.
Each set of wheels I take in are checked for cracks, buckles and twists. Mike and the supporting team, Tom and Daryl are always friendly and helpful.
If you read that Kev is a little blunt - he is. But if you're an adult it should not be off putting. He wants to know what you're looking for and if he can supply. He like me, also get a fair share of people 'trying it on' and any small business chap gets fed up with it after a while.
I've tried 6 other wheel refurbishers and Primo are the best. They do offer warranties, they do a bloody good job and they do make suggestions to make things better.
There's a couple of rather misleading reviews on here. All small businesses get them. But if you want a good wheel job or any of their latest offerings - go to Primo.

Great job done by the team of guy's at primo Alloys changing my standard 20inch audi wheels with a complete colour change to a satin bronze finish great job, hopefully will return soon for a complete wrap when you are in the new workshop

Great all round service. They fixed my cracked alloy which Audi said could not be repaired and Audi wanted to charge £1300. Primo alloys did it for £96. I would definitely recommend this company.

Can’t seem to provide an estimate for works after asking twice, and providing them with the relevant paperwork.
Kevin was somewhat rude to his staff which felt uncomfortable, and one felt affronted as a customer for bringing business their way.
Afraid to say I won’t be going back or recommending.

These guys are GOOD! They were recommended by a friend so I asked them to powder coat a set of wheels for me and also needed a hairline crack welding. I didn't give them an easy colour either - my wheels were diamond cut, but I've seen too many horror stories about lacquer peeling off a few months down the line, so decided to powder coat. I asked them if they could get as close as possible to the diamond cut look and I think they look even better than diamond cut now to be honest.
Since my car was in the body shop, the job was time dependent and I needed it done in less than 2 days. These guys did it in less than 24 hours!! My car has been in the body shop for about 4 weeks getting various bits done and panels resprayed. After coming out of the body shop, the only thing people compliment are the wheels! In fact, the body shop were so impressed by the work, they were considering using Primo for their future wheel refurbs. Would 100% use these guys again.

Not sure about alloy refurbs but got my windows tinted, roof wrapped and window trims dechromed on my audi. Every window tinted had bubbles and creases. Advertised the wrap would be 3m or avery but turned out to be kpmf, wrap started to peel off so I took it off only to find scratches on the chrome window trims!

Great experience at Primo Alloys. My Touareg wheels were beginning to look tatty and Mike looked after me brilliantly. I wanted to change from a silver wheel and Mike took great care to make sure I was happy with the graphite colour I chose. Very happy with the result.

Absolutely fantastic. I arrived unannounced and left 90 minutes later with wheel mended. Can't normally expect that speed of service but on this occasion couldn't fault it.
Incidentally, Primo came recommended by my regular tyre fitter.

Although the refurb itself came out amazing because my wheels were in bad condition, and the switch the black looks great on the car.
In less than a month, I have lost 2 dust caps (which weren't screwed back on properly). 3 M-Sport alloy badges where the adhesive didn't set properly, or some cheap EBAY ones were used and my OEM originals were discarded before the wheels were stripped.
Then to top it all off, I now have 2 gaping rusty holes on the front wheels where both the BMW centre caps have come off when driving. Considering you need a decent suction cup to yank those off, it's clear the weren't fitted back on to the car properly which will cost me a good £30 to get 2 OEM replacements.
I also have to agree with other reviews on Google that the customer service leaves much to be desired, extremely blunt phone and front desk manor. I used Primo as they were close to work and I could leave it there for 2 days, but next time I will look further afield.

Very honest, helpful and friendly staff. Called me to let me know when to collect my wheel, which was done in the agreed time frame. I was very pleased with the finished product, excellent quality and colour match. My alloy wheel was balanced and inflated back to the correct pressure, so didn't have to fiddle about with tyre pressure sensor settings in the car, when I put it back on to the car.

The only alloy place within a twenty mile radius that could provide temporary wheels whilst they refurbished my alloys so that I could still drive my car around. I can’t emphasise how helpful the guys at primo have been, I’m a trade customer and have had awful experiences locally and decided to give the guys at primo a shot at a family members wheel, VW group car with a Pain In The A45E pearl black wheel to repair and colour match.
The managed it and were polite jovial and professional throughout.
The wheel refurb is of a high standard both in finish and attention to detail, the weights used were black on a black wheel, something some companies don’t bother doing.
5* gents and I will be back!

End product seems to be very good, but the overall front of house welcome/service has a lot to be desired, the first impressions of this company were extremely poor, very rude abrupt counter service, basically feels like you are wasting their time, by asking a simple question... "How much to refurb alloy wheels?"When/if you go there, please expect a greeting,.. Like you have just walked into somebodies living-room, without being invited, while they are watching an extremely important game of football!! If I had no choice, I would have to use them again, but I would rather go elsewhere, where the customer service would be warmer.

I had terribly corroded wheels, it took slightly longer than planned due to the extra work to bring them back to a new look. They called to update on the problems with the wheels good customer service and no extra charge for the extra work.. Now I have a set of fantastic wheels.very happy.

March 2015. Genuinely impressed. Had 4 split rim alloys on my BMW Z4 refurbished and recoloured in gunmetal grey. Was completed in one and a half days (half day sooner than expected ). Top quality work at a good competitive price. Friendly and accommodating service. They even spotted a missing wheel nut and put one on at no charge. No hesitation to recommend.

I had my alloys for my Golf refinished by Primo Wheels, which were in a fairly hideous state. The Workshop is walking distance from Guildford Station and I met Mike at 7.30am to deliver the car. The wheels were ready early the next morning and I got the train back from Epsom to pick them up. Other workshops quoted 2-3 days which would have been inconvenient and the refinishing which is in an anthracite grey is first class. I am very pleased with the service and will be dropping my wife's Mini in soon to get her wheels done.

I had my BMW Style 32 alloys refurbished here over a year ago. I was still undecided as to what colour I wanted. I was shown a few options and settled for a black chrome effect which turned out great. A couple of weeks later I had to replace a tyre as I got a nail in it. I took it to a local cheap tyre shop to swap it who badly scratched the wheel. I called Primo alloys and explained what had happened and they said to bring it straight down. They had to re do the process again as the damage was so bad and I had the wheel back within 24hrs! Absolutely fantastic service and quality of work. Highly recommended.
