Byron and Jeff deserve a raise for what I just put them through! My car battery had died and I got jump started and immediately went to this store as it’s super close to where I park my car. As a young woman with literally zero car knowledge, I was completely relying on the employees there to help me change the battery. They spent well over an hour removing the ~9 year old battery (that had never been replaced) that was covered in battery acid and rust, and replacing it with a new one (which I was given a discount of $40 as well). This was a great experience and I won’t go anywhere else for all my car needs as long as I’m living in Allston/Brighton!

I pulled into Advanced Auto Parts after getting a flat tire, and the assistant manager (unfortunately I forget her name) took at look at it. After determining it was still OK to drive down the street to an auto body shop someone at the front called to let them know I would be coming. She immediately hopped in her truck and had me follow her so I got to the right place. She went above and beyond & everyone in the store was quick to help though I did not purchase anything. Despite the flat tire it was a great experience and I will definitely be coming here for any car parts in the future!

Fantastic service. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. When buying a new battery they let me use their tools and replace it in the parking lot (which is perhaps standard for Advance Auto Parts). But what got me was when I was about to leave, they let me use their staff bathroom to wash my hands. They went above and beyond, and I'll definitely be back!

I don't get why they have people answering the phone when they don't know what they're doing.... called to look up a part number. Gave her the make and model and she just kept saying ugh. And took 10 minutes just to give some other part information than that was asked. We just left a different store that said they had a certain part in stock there and she still gave us a different part.

Their website explicitly mentions ‘battery recycling’, yet when I came to drop the batteries I had bought here, the clerk simply admitted they just ‘toss them out’. Why are they even listed as a recycling facility online?!

Store opens at 8:00am. Arrived at ~7:45am on a Tuesday. 1st employee arrive/unlock/enter/lock ~7:50am. Tried entering around 8:05am, still locked. Tried calling the store, no answer. It’s currently 8:20am and a few customers are waiting outside. I guess my guy just didn’t feel like opening up shop today???

That do seem a bit overworked compared to typical o riles, but this advanced is better that 99%.

Came here for a battery replacement last week. My old battery had a fair amount of corrosion so they refused to install my new battery in my car. Auto parts guy told me my battery was so corroded that if he tried replacing the battery, it could damage the terminal. Really? Then why the next morning I was able to do it on my own then? The auto parts guys here know what parts your car need, but don’t expect for them to go out of their way to get the job done. 3 stars.

Before I bought few times some items at this store. Everything was ok . But yesterday my experience was so terrible. I never ever had that kind of customer service in my life. The guy who called his name Jordan was threatening me. He didn’t want take item back. Before I was buying this stuff I asked the guy who was selling the item about can I return if the tool doesn’t fit. He said yes I can return. The main thing they committed that they were wrong when they were telling me that I can return item. But they rejected to take it back. Suddenly the manager started to call police and explained them that I don’t want leave this store. I called too to the police and explained what happened. I tried to ask them to give me main office cell phone but the two of three guys told me I need to find my self from google. It was so unprofessional and unpredictable situations. I didn’t want to complain but I think there’s some kind of racism to Asian people. I really felt it. If some want to help me to figure out what happened I will be happy to united together and sue this company. I’m sure it’s not first time incident that happened with me. The manager who name is Jordan and another black man were so confident, route, and aggressive that they took my item back and didn’t return it me back until police came and returned me back. The police officers were kind and professional. They give me advice to contact or sue this company in civil rights. I recorded every my step and definitely to fight with with company because they made me felt stressed, nervous. After all that happened I had a headache and my air pressure went up. For what reasons??? Never ever had with them deal. I’m trying to find other people who suffered from their employees action and sue them. Please, contact me if you had a same situation as mine.

There is guy whose name is Jordan. When we went at this store he was under influence. I guess he smoked marijuana. I felt that smells from him. Also, he was ride with client. Never ever come back here. Do not recommend to visit this store

So I went in there to buy floor mats and an air filter. They were out of the floor mats I wanted but looked downstairs to see if they could find any more. They helped me install the air filter for free. They have always been super nice there. It totally recommend them.

Good auto supply shop located in a very convenient part of Allston. Went in for wiper blades for my girlfriend and I'm cars, and we were out in ten minutes with mine installed. Had some kick ass music playing, too.

Got some unsolicited advice about my battery, which turned out to be true. Also, they gave me some promotion codes for discount. I saved a lot of money and time, since their service of battery replacement was super fast. The staffs are excellent! Thank you guys for everything. The best AAP store I've even been.

The staff members were not helpful and could be heard loudly complaining about workplace conditions; furthermore, I walked up to the counter to pay and was ignored until the cashier was done texting. Additionally, the price for the item I wanted was incorrectly marked.

Shelves are typically pretty barren, / weakly stocked. If you're looking for anything other than oil or coolant I'd suggest going to Watertown or Somerville.
