Once again an extremely well organised Zoom Aga demonstration with Na Hansell cooking Simple Summer dishes on the aga. Na is a very experienced aga chef and delivers most informative and fun sessions with delicious recipes to try. The way the 3 cameras were set up enabled viewing of all stages of preparation and cooking. Recipes were sent out before the demonstration by Brenna which I find very useful; and both Na and Brenna were always on-hand to answer any queries. Thank you

Really enjoyed Penny Zako’s Aga demo this morning. She was very natural in her delivery and it was easy to forget she was demonstrating in front of lots of strangers. Some good tips and it made me more confident about tackling Christmas. Prepare in advance seems to be key! Her kitchen is beautiful! Thank you.

Great service from this company with my AGA. Changed from oil to electric with no trouble at all. Then took time to have a purpose made masking plate to cover old water service pipes normally covered by cabinetry. All fitted and all is now perfect! Great company and staff and no hesitation in recommending.

Aug 2019 Through Edwards and Godding in Reading we recently replaced a 30 plus year old oil Aga with a 3 oven total control electric unit and added a new recirculating extractor over the aga. We are delighted with these although the ovens have had the main use so far. The key to the review however is to highly compliment E & G on the service they provided to ensure we had exactly what we needed. The Aga was a standard space replacement via excellent staff but the new extractor in limited space was a bit tricky. Nothing was too much trouble in selecting a suitable unit and planning and implementing the non standard installation. Full Marks

I found Edwards &Godding when I was having trouble with my Stanley cooker - my previous servicing engineer having left the business, to my great regret. I found them helpful, and competent. After the first repair, I had a repeat of my previous problem a few days later - I emailed over the weekend, and Paul was with me on Monday morning. He found another fault, which he fixed, and all is now well again. I accept some of the comments regarding expense in other reviews - but we are not talking about a common device, but one which requires understanding to look after it properly. If you can find an engineer who understands such cookers, and can do a good job for less money, you have been very lucky. Personally, I'm sticking with Paul. D.B.Humphrey

Been a customer for nearly 20 years, but recently long delays in getting an engineer and they can't fix a Rayburn problem after three visits. Which they bill for every time, fix or not. And having read the first part of this review , they have cancelled the next visit. Leaving us with no heat, hot water or cooker. The review is factual. So dont complain after the bills reach 400 pounds and you still can't use your Rayburn, or you will be left in the Lurch by this delightful Ms C.. who probably can have a bath and keep warm. Here is a copy of the email sent to me and my reply: Dear Mrs Camp I write to advise that that we will be cancelling the appointment scheduled for tomorrow, 28th November based on the review you have left on google. We find your comments unreasonable and unfair the fact that you came to us year after year for over 20 years clearly makes them unjust. The engineer who attends has been with Edwards and Godding for over 25 years and is very experienced and has serviced your appliance on numerous occasions without raising any complaints. Although we stand by our decision last week that the charges on invoice number 2077 are correct, we will cancel the invoice and remove you from our data base. Yours sincerely Dear Ms C So you have decided to leave me in the lurch with no heating or hot water, because you are offended by a review ? That certainly confirms my feelings that you in fact are unable to repair my Rayburn, actually don’t know what is wrong with it and after leaving me without heating, cooking and hot water for nearly a month in the last 6 weeks have decided to bail. I have spent 1000s of pounds with your company, have always paid my bills and have even recommended you. What a petty , unprincipled manner to treat a loyal customer. Carole Camp UPDATE: 8th December. Ive just read this reply from Edwards & Godding, so I have decided to update my review again, now that an engineer (NOT E&G) has been out. 1. The oil leak was unresolved, my cooker was once again full of leaked oil. 2. The new Engineer asked when it had last been serviced, as it didn’t look as if it had been done recently ( approx 8 to 10 weeks ago) 3. He fixed the leak, cleaned up the inside and replaced a part in the pump and charged me £75, half the price I was invoiced by E&G for their 2nd visit, (and more to the point its still working) 4.We already had the appointment when we left a short approx 2 lines factual,review and we did not ask them to delay going to other appointments, or threaten them to get an appointment. The current review has been extensively edited as their bad faith has been revealed. 5. As a “Customer” they had no compunction in inconveniencing me , and leaving me without heating , hot water or cooking facilities for weeks on end. 6. Their answer is a self-serving pathetic excuse for bad workmanship and poor customer relations.
