A time capsule hub of transportation. My first trip through here was 40 years ago and I dropped a friend there this afternoon. It's hardly changed. Street photography heaven too. Check it out at different times of day to see how the light plays with the shadows.

Hua Lamphong, Train Station. Still quite busy for people to travel all over Thailand. At the main station , it is quite hot and crowded with people. Anyhow the area is very clean. Recently they do rehabilitation to improve for better service. Changing from old wooden sleeper to be concrete sleepers. Therefore they could improve the speed of the train to be more on time than in the past. The seat is more comfortable.

Hua Lampong is the head quarter railway station, travellers who want to make their journey by train, they have to start at this station ( passengers on the way excluded). Trains go to every regions( Northern,Northeastern, Southern and Central region). Foreigners ‘tourists know this station very well. Trains time table is crowded 24hours a day. Like any trains station in every countries, services such as ATM , parcel , bag deposit, hotel , restaurants are available. Connected to this main building, passengers can go underground for MRT which they may further their journey to the stop point network every direction around Bangkok,

This is the central railway station of Thailand. The railway was once the most important means of transportation of the country. Time has changed. Railway is no longer popular. Still it is an affordable for many people. The historical building is not crowded like in the old days. It is accessible by the MRT (subway). Please be patient with the service because it is not unusual if the train is late.

Took a 10 hours’ overnight sleeper train from Hua Lamphong train station to Udon Thani. You can alight at Hua Lamphong MRT station and there is an underground passage link way to the train station. There is a small canteen where you can have your meal before your journey, other than that, there are a few other coffee places inside the train station. Took the Train no.25 and have to say very impressed. The journey was alright but not recommended for light sleeper as the entire journey was pretty bumpy. There will be attendant going around at certain timing to take your order for food. Overall, the train was well maintained.

Your journey in Bangkok and Nonthaburi area can start here. This MRT station has the long tunnel connects to Bangkok Hua Lamphong station and the exhibition about the history of MRT construction along the walkway. The station is quite large and busy all day. The best place for cheap travel to all parts of Thailand. At busy times of the year and public holidays it's a good idea to buy your ticket the day before you want to depart.

The friendliest employees are located at this railway station. It's easy to navigate and the employees are extremely helpful. The trains arrived on time, and ran smoothly.

Kinda old but nice. You have food and chairs if you need to wait. Ive traveled from this station a few times and it’s almost always on time. Get some water before getting on the train, and if you have a long ride to Chiangmai, make sure to use earplugs to avoid vendors loud voices every 5 seconds :)

Staffs are helpful. You can leave your luggage at the Left Baggage Office so you can stroll around while waiting your train to departure. There is no power outlet on the train so make sure your juice is full before boarding.

No problem buying a ticket. Train left on time. Limited clean places to eat at the station. Store where you can buy drinks and snacks for your trip. Public toliets with small charge. Like a sauna inside the station.

its a central train station that caters all trains going to northern and southern Thailand. it has a very nice guards on duty and help desk that will help you and they will try to communicate if they can't speak English using body language or look for someone who can help you. it is accessible by different kinds of transportation like train (MRT), busses, private cars or taxi.

Bad information policy about the newly opened stations. They are only in service 10.00 h - 16.00 h !! And no maps about the locations. Even on Mother's Day! The extension starts from Hualampoon St.

End of the blue line going into the “center” They really need to get ticket machines which take card. Nice main station opposite this exit.

Very good for crowd study. Be careful of bus hawkers who say bus trips are cheaper than train rides, because of course the trains are cheaper. Loitered around and took the train from this station to Chiang Mai (a total of 14 hours). Oh yeah!

I really need the Wi-Fi service point in this station. And if you want to make the competition between train and plane you need to have Wi-Fi. People are ready to pay for this service. One thing more hopefully we all gonna have hydrogen power train or electric train soon????

MRT is awesome! This station is great, end of the line so if you get on here you will get a seat. BTS is great as well. Bangkok has terrible traffic so think twice before you get a cab, you might be sitting in traffic, and unlike cars crowded trains move just as fast - no traffic. Long live public transportation!

Do not believe those who said train is cheaper. Just like in all countries, trains is slower and more expansive than bus. For the price of sleeping train second class you can get VIP bus with food, air con, wifi and airplane like business class seats. The first class tickets are books way in advance and cost more than 1000 baht. As for the train station - service is awesome and there is place for foreigners wi air con too. I personally prefer bus
