School Space

Takes ages to get a reply. Usually need to chase up. Would like to book multiple events through this but find it very stressful waiting for a reply for days/weeks sometimes. Events are not the quickest to set up at the best of times. Especially if your having difficulties at the first hurdle with venues and dates.a much better and smoother transaction would be a whole online booking system. Would take the pain out of it. I hope you do improve your service as you do have some good venues on offer.

Edited to add: several days later and after numerous phone calls someone finally sorted everything out and apologised, I consequently decided to change my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I have booked through school space regularly every Saturday morning with no issue, the staff was very nice. Early November we came to find vomit in the room we were meant to use and had to change to a less suitable room as they were unable to access any cleaning supplies. We were told a credit would be applied to our next invoice. Credit was never applied and despite calls and emails nothing has been done. Furthermore we had emailed and book online to add an extra hour to our booking last week. Someone deleted our regular booking and replaced it by this extra booking (despite having done the extra booking online and having emailed to say this was a one off extra). Consequently no one was there to open for our regular booking on that Saturday morning. At 11.30am, the time of our extra hire, someone turned up and was unable to open the lock - for about 1/2 hour- so the last booking was delayed. I emailed asking answer as to what had happened, no answer. After over 48hrs I called, and got told they had made a 'human error' and I would be offered a credit for next hire. I asked for it to be put in writing and also told them that since the last credit never reached me, a refund would be more appropriate - told me I would receive a written confirmation via email- it has been over 24hrs and no email... Kids did not get their last ballet lessons before Christmas, I paid for a hall that has been not opened on time/had sick all over the floor and had randomly cancelled bookings.

Awful service, appalling customer care. Been trying to get hold of someone for 3 weeks dealing with someone different every time. Numerous emails sent with no response. They all seem busy in "meetings" and "training days" when you call direct. Well, whatever training they are doing is definitely not helping to improve customer service.

Pure stress. No communication at all, wasn't able to arrange a viewing before the party & they tried to hit us with a £80 cleaning fee which thier terms and conditions say you dont have to pay. We left hall excatley as we found it so will be expecting my deposit back in full. Worst way to book a venue ever.

We booked the basketball court at Hammersmith academy and their staff were absolutely joke, not letting us in to get change and forcing us to wait outside in the cold night, lock the changing room after we finish the session and not letting us change, they kick us out after the session sweat and on top of that even turn off the lights while 5-6 people including 1 8 years old boy were in. This is the worst organisation to deal with and if you are thinking to rent a space with them my advice for you is RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

Absolutely disgusting. They charged me a cleaning fee then bought me a dustpan to clean 3 large halls!! The communication between their staff is non-existent. The schools have nothing good to say about them. They are money-grabbing and completely unhelpful. Refusing to return deposit because i didn't clean - ummmmm, did i mention the cleaning fee i paid? They make things difficult from day one and my only wish with what was otherwise a good event was that i did not use school space and hope that others learn from my mistake. Feel free to message me for further details or venues you can use without them.

Jemma and James have hit on an absolutely fantastic concept to bring local schools and the local community together. I can't rave about them enough. When school is out, 2Je come in! As a school, you get two professional, dedicated and committed individuals and their team, helping to rent out your hall, classrooms, gymnasium or even the whole school on an adhoc or regular basis and contributing the income back into your school. As someone looking for space, these guys now have 7 schools to offer you, where else would you find that kind of variety? As a photographer, I am required to come up with unusual locations for shoots; 2Je have helped me a few times now and I know I can come back with any type of request and they will do their best to accommodate me. I've worked with them to find a film set, photoshoots and a wedding venue. There is a still potential for a wedding fair with them in the future and I hope some tai chi or yoga classes will take up with them too. With their personal attention, free onsite parking and a staggeringly good hourly rate, using 2Je is a no brainer for me- and you could be surprised how versatile a school can be. I've recommended them to yoga teachers, drama groups, event planners, personalised work training courses, sports coaches, social clubs... and I will keep recommending them. I have been working with Jemma and James to put on a networking event in Thame for a few months now. I have found them to be professional and a pleasure to work with. They are enthusiastic, eager and very much customer service focused. As well as their great service, affordable prices and helpful manner they also contribute to a greater cause, which is helping schools by providing a useful income stream off the back of the space they make available to people looking for Oxfordshire venues. I highly recommend these two and will follow their progress as they develop their excellent business.
