Fantastic curry dishes. I had lamb curry. The taste is about as perfect as you would find it in India. Probably, this one beats all other curry dishes I have ever had. The lighting and music is also great. The colours of the restaurant, coupled with excellent customer service and staff dressing just made this restaurant the best restaurant I have ever been too. Keep it up.

Excellent curry. Arrived under the hour which is good for a Saturday, was hot and delivered with a friendly smile. Great flavours...tikka masala and ceylon . Crisp poppadoms .

Every dish we ordered was absolutely tasty! Full of flavor. No chewy meat. Not greasy like a few take aways I’ve had in the past. Great customer service.

Had a takeaway tonight, annoying like so many other times the chicken was awful! So many chicken pieces I had to spit back out as they were chewy. It’s a shame as I normally really like this restaurant, it’s bad enough that last week we ordered from this restaurant that it took 2 hours to be delivered despite a couple of phone calls and for them to turn round and say, well it can take up to 2 hours to be delivered even though on the order website the time it gives you is like 50 mins.

Got a takeaway through Just Eat, suppose to arrive in 40 mins. Took 90 mins, it was the least spicy curry Ive ever had.
Also the delivery driver stared at me like he expected a tip, was a bit odd

Had a fantastic family meal here tonight with our two grown up sons. Service was really great and lovely depth of flavour to the curry. Particularly liked the veg curry and my husband loved the spice in the naga chicken. Think we all loved the ambience and decor too. An all round fabulous night, so nice to be looked after the way that you did thank you!

Far too much desiccated coconut in both dishes, completely overwhelming and made very sweet. Felt like it had been chucked in and stirred at last minute. The chicken tikka massalla tasted more like a bounty than a curry. Poppodoms were still oily so went soggy after 15mins.

Really, really good food. It's very popular for eat in and takeaway, so you might have to wait, but it's worth it. My wife is a vegetarian and loves the food from here.

Should really change the name as there was an extreme lack of spice, if any at all, in all the various dishes we ordered. By far the most bland Indian I've ever had, seriously no flavour. The Sag Paneer was made with English style cottage cheese and barely any spinach, horrible cheap sloppy imitation. It was also ten minutes late, no big deal if it was nice. The only positive was the freshly made naan bread.
Shame.

I don't like smelly curry . That's why I love going to Spice. The food is brilliant, tasty,hot, well presented. The staff are so friendly yet respectful. I love the way Spice gives a red flower to each lady as she leaves at the end of the meal. It all adds to a wonderful meal and a wonderful experience.

We ordered a takeaway yesterday evening and noticed one of our dishes was missing. So, I called them up and they said we never ordered it! Funny thing is, that I'd already done the maths on the total cost (with the missing dish) and it was close to what we paid! The person on the phone was adament they were right (after all, the customer is always wrong) and asked us to pay (again) for the dish if we wanted it! Evidently the prices on their website / menu must be wrong or indeed they make them up as they go along (of course, they conveniently didn't provide us with an itemised receipt) or perhaps the staff just haven't received a proper education and can't add one and one together. What it does of course mean is that the staff are theives. They've stolen my money and not provided the goods. They have also lied to us (my wife mentioned "aloo gobi" to them twice and they repeated, but mysteriously it wasn't on the order). We certainly won't be going back - but at least there are plenty of other good (honest) curry houses in Hove!

One of the best Indian foods I had. I too a King Prawn Biryani and it was SOO Tasty!
I highly HIGHLY recommend this place for you guys to try it out. The owner and the people working there were so nice with me that they gave me something extra to taste.

The patia i ordered, which i asked to be vindaloo hot was hot enough.
But i could tell they just poured vindaloo sauce over it...the mushroom bhagi looked like it had been in the fridge for a while. The nan bread and the poppadoms were great. I won't get a takeaway from them again

The worst thing is the music. It makes you want to cut your wrists, it is very depressing... However, the food is not too bad. We had the Sunday buffet and there was enough vegetarian options. Tasty but nothing special, it is missing the authentic Indian spice.

This was our first meal for four from Spice Tandoori. We phone ordered and collected on a busy saturday night. The food was fresh form the kitchen and we all agreed it was tasty as expected, good value and we would order again. The staff were polite and aploogised for the short delay in collection. But I'm happy to wait a few minutes if the food is fresh and the kitchen was busy. Recommended.

Very happy with the takeaway we had from here tonight. The website is easy to use as the takeaway ordering gives explanations of the dishes, and automatically shows relevant bread/rice options with the main dishes. Email confirmation giving estimated time of arrival, and in fact it arrived before that (I had asked for asap, rather than selecting a time). Food was hot, well packaged and yummy :-)

We have a lovely feast for 2 here for the Sunday buffet. They staf explained all the dishes and were extremely tentative thought out out stay. Amazing food! Can't wait to go back!

Very disappointing. Lots of good reviews so thought, 'why not'. Starter of prawn puri was inedible - tasteless and prawns were a bit dodgy. Main of King Prawn Korai (house speciality and favourite of the staff, apparently) was again very bland and the prawns were low quality and very small in comparison to other restaurants nearby. Also had sag motor which was a sweet stodgy mess. Nan was good but thats it. So won't be getting a takeaway from here again. Back to Hove Tandoori.

I reckon this is the best Indian restaurant in Sussex. The food is terrific, the staff are really friendly and attentive without being 'in your face', and the interior would not be out of place in London. They also run a busy take away service.

High quality food and service
Went on a Thursday evening so really quiet but this contributed to the staff having conversations with us. Food was delicious and the sizzling chicken which was a new dish for me is well worth trying. Specially the dips that goes with the poppadoms. The staff were really attententive and very welcoming. We will certainly be returning.
