I have been a customer at this garage for years, on the understanding that the people here are honest and capable. While I thinks that still holds true, I have become dissatisfied with the company policy, where:
They forced replacement of disk brakes on the basis that - although still within the recommended limit of the car manufacturer, they were not within the limits imposed by this company.
On a second occasion they forced replacement of disks on the basis of the presence of a few grooves having become apparent on the surface of one side of one disk. I'm talking about three grooves the size of a grain of sand, plus another 10 or so hairline grooves. Based on the small amount and type of surface damage, I would estimate that the reduction in breaking power - resulting from a change of brake pads - would have been of less than 1% and only temporary, that is, until the pads fully adapted to the disk. There was no need to get replace the disks, but I fell for I'll advice over the phone

Really excellent service. Trip #1 identified a problem with a suspension arm so I got my garage to replace it and took it back to Tyre City and they didbthe alignment at no extra cost. Steve (the boss) is a top man.

Thanks for the excellent service! Was seen quickly by nick, he checked all my tyres and advised me on 2 other tyres which were dangerous , I was unaware of this due to them being shaved in the inside which I was told was a tracking issue, I had my tyres replaced and the tracking sorted in time to pick up the kids! Low prices and extremely good customer service, thanks for everything! I’ll be back!

I always go to Tyre City in North Whetstone/Oakleigh Road for tyres, and now my car needs a service and in a few months an MOT I wouldn't think of anywhere else to take it. The staff are excellent and the location is convenient (buses, cafes, pub). I highly recommend Tyre City.

Recommend this garage way cheaper than Kwik Fit and honest too. Great service. Had a issue removing my locking wheel nuts ended up replacing them for free! Wouldn't go anywhere else in the area for my tyres. They fit while you wait.

Nice guys and very helpful, I had a problem with a tyre valve loosing pressure told me exactly what part i needed and I found the cheapest possible online. went back to get it fitted and they fitted it free of charge, despite it taking 10-15 mins. Nice to know they aren't charging for every little thing. i will go back for tyres.
