What a game changer!! This course is totally unique and a must for all dentists whatever stage of their career. I was sceptical at first about how a course about how to perform a dental exam properly was going to help me, it completely changed the way I carry them out now by breaking it down into a structured and logical step methodology that makes the whole process more professional, thorough and help deliver what the patient wants. The second revenue course I found myself requesting to be put on the waiting list and I was not disappointed. Asif’s amazing business skills and dental knowledge combined made with a clear structure was enough to boost your earning potential on a daily basis by implementing his structure and his methods into your every day routine while making work less stressful and seeing instant results!!

I did the PYP course in 2015 and have found that since using the skills I gained to upgrade my exam cycle I have better communication with my patients, more uptake of treatment due to my patients having a full and informed understanding of my recommendations. Exam cycle allows us to gain true consent from patients which leads to more trust between patients and dentists. This translates into far less stressful working days and higher revenue.
This has been further built upon by doing the Revenue course this year. Another brilliant course from Asif which is sure to change my working life for the better. A complex guide of how to increase your revenue without the cost of marketing/investment in equipment. A truly aspirational way of working that is made wholly accessible to the average associate in this step by step guide. It’s not simple but it is very well explained and carefully troubleshooted to make implementation as smooth as possible.

There's nothing out there like the courses Asif runs for practice owners and associates. Being a practice owner, I found myself being overwhelmed and stressed to the point I didn't want to come into work. Once I began the journey on KYN there was no looking back. The systems and frameworks Asif uses are fantastic and simple and his courses are run and structured really well. You get to meet like minded people and socialise also. The great thing about Asif that his courses get better and better year on year as he always wants to get better himself to support and help his delegates. If I could give a million stars I would.
Squadron courses have been an essential part of understanding dentistry on the high street.
Like many courses on the market we question whether they are worth it and definitely this is.
I have done 3 courses with the company and they have helped me at a clinician level as well as a practice owner.
Any one making the leap should do it.
The pyp course is a game changer. It's something all dentists should be taught.
Kyn and business management courses have helped me run a better practice as well as be a better person.
Asif has a great way of breaking down the daily obstacles and provides a clear method which gets results.

BOOM! The sound of opportunity knocking on your door. It doesn't happen often. Entering the world of PYP and KYN have been the single most influential step I have made in my career as a dentist, Principal and Dental Teacher.
The Squadron Strategy courses are designed for dentists at every stage of their dental career pathway and guarantee success in a structured, controlled and predictable fashion.
Asif Syed's unique and genius concepts come from decades of sheer hard work and determination and an unshakable belief that there has to be a better way for dentists to practice and flourish and enjoy their chosen career.
What I loved is that the courses were packed with usable, practical information that had a direct and immediate impact in the workplace and had a positive ripple effect on everyone around me.
The whole Squadron Strategy team are amazing. The trainers are intelligent, enthusiastic, approachable individuals who all practice what they preach. They're the kind of individuals you can't help but spark off.

This is a quote I seem to hear regularly from dentists of all ages but more recently it is a mantra recited by the self styled business management gurus when trying to pitch their courses to dentists with promises of teaching them how to achieve business nirvana.
Please don’t waste your hard earned money on any of the above......
It has been both a pleasure and an honour to be a client of Asif ‘s for the last two decades.
What Asif doesn’t know about the intricate interpersonal staff dynamics, the detailed british dental economic landscape and the factors affecting revenue and thus profit trajectory in dental practices is probably not worth knowing.
He has a no nonsense, pragmatic approach based on his almost 30 years of knowledge and experience and an empathy that only a fellow dentist who has himself worked in Practice can feel.
If you want to really understand the business figures that you monitor as a Practice Principal and Owner and not base your decisions for future growth on anecdotal and gut instincts - then Asif’s Principals course KYN ( Know your numbers - of course ! ) is a must.
It is the difference between negotiating a journey flapping through the pages of an old fashioned A - Z whilst driving and putting the post code of your destination into google maps - it gives you a step by step set of instructions to follow and most importantly...... it removes the stress !
The Exam Cycle course is also a must - all of our Associates have been on it with such success that we would not employ any dentist who was not willing to complete it.
I cannot recommend Asif and his courses enough no matter where you are in your dental career and I have no doubt that the success that we have achieved is primarily down to his invaluable input over the years.

I did a couple of clinical hands on courses before I did any with Asif and the communication skills I learnt here were amazing. I was able to give my examinations the type of structure that avoids difficult and disorganised conversations. Things flow smoothly now with my examinations and I found myself, not only confidently recommending treatment, but found there was a high uptake of my recommended treatment options. This has actually allowed me to apply and develop the new clinical modalities I have learnt along the way. Highly recommend it.

I first found out about PYP during the taster day in November. Asif was pretty straight to the point which was refreshing. He breaks down the exam (which most dentists take for granted) in systematic blocks which all make perfect sense and allow you to be in control of the exam, rather than the patient.
Having done other communications courses I found this one particularly effective as Asif is a previous dentist, so is much more relatable. The trainers have all been through the course and are currently practicing so their advice was great, particularly Vimal we was over seeing my group. Highly recommended for any associate at any stage of their career.

In 2014 I had been qualified for 10 years and I thought I knew it all, until I was recommended the PYP course and I met Asif and it changed everything. PYP focuses on the examination and the patient journey to finding the best possible solution, something I was never taught in dental school and what most of us underestimate.

Fundamentally the Squadron Business courses teach you to work smarter. The term “no brainer” is used commonly these days but the investment you make and the rewards you reap are incomparable.
The content is taught by Asif in a structured manner. The information is comprehensible and produces applicable frameworks. Sequentially they can be implemented into your everyday practicing life as a busy dentist. You’ll swiftly notice the improvements in your clinical care and efficiency. Asif’s knowledge and understanding of the industry is one of a kind. His career as a dentist paired alongside his amazing systems for dental practice enable him to offer something unique and tailored to your circumstances.
FFQ should be mandatory for every dentist entering their first year of GDP. We underestimate just how vulnerable we are so early on, and this course builds solid foundations.
PYP is career changing and demonstrates the importance of communicating solutions optimally with patients. For me personally patient acceptance for treatment quickly increased, especially independent treatments (this is not a sales course).
The Revenue course opens your eyes to the business side of dentistry. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as it illustrates the significance of several aspects of our working lives that affect revenue. The content has been so well thought out and potential problems analysed to ensure it can be utilised with ease. It’s such an intelligent way of working, which all dentists can learn to use. Asif has designed it to ensure you make improvements as your personal data is analysed and the results prove it.
The courses offer immense direction. I genuinely believe ALL dentists will benefit from them. Clinical courses are great, but these courses add another dimension to your work life balance.

I count myself as being very fortunate to have been on nearly all of Asif's courses starting a decade ago, and can truly say he has transformed me professionally and personally. Being a dentist himself, he has a complete understanding of how dentists think and has developed his courses specifically for dentists at different points in their career. From those recently qualified through to the experienced multiple practice owners, there will be a course that will completely change the way you do things and change the trajectory of progress.
As a principal myself, Asif has been instrumental in structuring the practice journey from a predominantly NHS practice to a mixed practice growing from four to six surgeries. He has developed frameworks which are bite size and easy to implement staying focused at what you should do next. His courses for principles are a must so you can learn how to analyse data and truly understand what's actually happening in your practice.
My associates have all been on his FFQ, PYP and Revenue courses and I can see how it has transformed their way of thinking and how they have progressed clinically and professionally, and be valued in what they do.
Some have become principals and implemented what they've learnt to build very successful practices themselves.

Since coming on to the KYN course in 2016, designed for practice owners, my personal outlook and approach has been transformed. I have since attended all the other courses that Asif runs. I guess one of the many great things about working with Asif is that, it is exactly that, you really are working with him and not a case of someone just outlining few things to you. There is someone who genuinely cares for your concerns to listen to you and to make plans to outline how to develop and overcome the challenges and then takes immense pleasure in being able to help you overcome them. PYP was a life changing course for me in my dental career. I was in the process of completing a restorative course but struggling to use the skills on my patients. After completing PYP it completely changed the way I communicated to my patients and carried out a check up. My patients really valued the advice they were given and understood the importance of maintaining and improving their oral health. I was finally able to do the treatment the patient would benefit from the most! It made me realise its never "the patient," its me.

I have completed the FFQ, Exam Cycle and Revenue courses in the last few years with Asif and his team.
The Exam Cycle course gave me a structured format to my examination appointments, which helped me build a lot of value between myself and my patients, and now over time between myself and the practice. I noticed straight away that patients would leave their examinations feeling empowered, educated and grateful for the quality interaction they were able to have. This in turn translated into increased uptake of private work and increased number of patient referrals to the practice. I particularly like that you aren’t taught to “sell” to your patients, but are encouraged to really understand your patient’s wants and needs, which allows you to build a genuine and authentic relationship with them moving forwards.
More recently I have completed the Revenue course, which introduces you to a set of frameworks designed to maximise your daily rate by giving you more control and organisation over your diary via systems that help you work more efficiently. This also gives you a great insight into the business side of dentistry.
Would recommend to any practitioner looking to develop their non clinical skills and enhance their value at their practice!!

I was lucky enough to meet Asif during my DFT year. Since then, he’s helped me in all aspects of my career and taught me everything about business in dentistry.
I was on the first run of all of Asif’s key courses including FFQ, the Exam Cycle and the Revenue course. I have also just signed up to his Principal’s course now that I’m running my own specialist clinic in the W1 area. Over the years, I’ve found that Asif’s frameworks under the Squadron brand are the only things that have made sense and worked for me. The frameworks are clear, easy to follow and can be applied to any scenario.
I’ve always believed that finding the right mentor is a key step to success. I’ve been privileged enough to have Asif as my mentor for business/career development since the start of my career. I can throughly recommend Asif's courses having done many of them over the past 3 years. In that time I have gone from being an associate to buying a single surgery practice which is now a 3 surgery practice. I’ve done nearly every course run by Asif (everything except FFQ). What I love about his courses are that they are designed to deal with the struggles dentists encounter on a day to day basis in a structured way that is very easily implemented.
I particularly love PYP (the associate course). I’m not exaggerating when I say that this course was career changing for me. It gave me a structure to use for my examinations that was patient focused and easy for the patient to follow and understand. What I didn’t realise is that by doing this, patients valued me more and were choosing to go for higher end treatments which they previously wouldn’t have even considered! Prior to doing this course I had invested in clinical courses but I was unable to implement the skills as I could not get the cases. This all changed after PYP and I am now confident that any course I do will not be in vain as I have the structure to talk about these treatments to patients in examinations.
The revenue course was also fantastic. Again Asif has created a structured framework to show you how to increase your earnings without changing your dentistry. I know this sounds impossible but it works!
If you are a Principal dentist, there are courses for you too. Again, I’ve learnt so many frameworks, techniques and systems that have made running my practices so much easier. I really don’t think that there are other courses out there that cater to the needs of practice owners like this.
If you are not sure about doing any of these courses, my advice is just do them- you won’t regret it!

Having now completed both the PYP and Revenue course and I can honestly say it was the best investment I have made in my career so far.
My wife had mentioned the FFQ course which had given her a much more structured mind set. So encouraged me to go on the Introduction Course. I haven’t looked back since.
For me PYP has really helped me set solid foundations. It gave me a structured way of thinking and carry out my examinations in this manner to ensure that I am giving my patients a quality interaction every time they attend which means they are left feeling in control of their oral health.
It has now become a point where I actually enjoy carrying out examinations and getting to know my patients rather than it becoming monotonous and I personally feel that every dentist should carry out this course.
I then undertook the Revenue Course which was a complete revolution in my day to day approach. It really helped reinforce how important having systems in place were which supported what we had learnt on the PYP course and linked it together really well but adding so much more.
As dentists we are not all trained to be business minded however this will be an important factor for any dentist and the Revenue course helped me start thinking in this way. I am now able analyse my current systems/strategies and improve them, and track the newly implemented ones to ensure they are on the right track.
Not only do you improve your skills but you also improve your networking and get to meet so many other dentists with a similar frame of mind embarking on the same journey which the allows you to share your experiences and improve together.

The KYN course is for those that wish to make a fundamental shift to their working practice. It’s a brave step to move away from the norm and explore new ways to handle running a busy practice and all it’s challenges.
We’re all guilty of taking on too much and then trying to fit it into our daily working lives. Combine that with a full clinic and a team of staff, and you realise you’re just trying to stay afloat - no wonder things don’t change at the pace we’d like!
The KYN course is about altering the mindset: it gives practical frameworks that allow us to deal with what comes at us each-day (in practice) using specific, tried and tested examples.
I came on the very first KYN course several years ago and have been using what I learnt, in my own practices, every since. The frameworks have allowed me to organise my time better (using the P.O.S.E. system) and so, getting more done, while further developing my own businesses and constantly driving things forward using my prioritised ‘GREEN SPACE’.
I’ve never looked back and am always keen to help others on the course unlock the potential of their practices.
Learning something that you can implement straight away is always a bonus, especially when you meet like-minded people, with shared problems and realise there are shared solutions! I find this is what makes teaching on the course such a great experience for me personally.

These courses have transformed my career. I have done FFQ, PYP and now on the second run of Revenue course.
These courses should be on the top of every dentists priority list, they go hand in hand with clinical courses.
FFQ is a great intro course and really bridges the gap between your first years as an associate. You gain knowledge and skills that would normally take you at least 5 years to learn.
The PYP exam cycle course has changed my consultation and exam completely, I am no longer trying to "sell" treatments to patients. As a result I am doing more of the dentistry I enjoy doing and have been trained to do and getting appropriately remunerated for it!
Revenue course has changed my working life completely, from zoning the diary and learning how revenue moves through bands. I am no longer worried about a higher or lower UDA rate when comparing to my friends as I know the calculations that matter!

A defining moment in my dental career and for the care of my patients was when I completed PYP in 2014.
PYP is where Asif Syed explains and teaches the 'Exam cycle' and how important a structured and patient focussed examination ultimately provides the best solution for the patient. During the course I realised how I was not providing the best for my patients and how unstructured my examination really was. Now many patients frequently comment on how it is the most comprehensive examination completed by any dental professional. Furthermore patients have shown there extreme gratitude in many different ways over the years.
This is a course which really should be compulsory for all dentists trying to improve their care for patients and to enhance their own abilities.
After completing this course I was eagerly awaiting the next stage - the Revenue course. This really helped me take my patient based examination to the next level, on a business level; I learnt the importance of several factors that affect revenue and how to influence them. More importantly I learnt how to analyse, reflect and implement strategies which are essential in the modern dental world.
I am now equipped with techniques and strategies to deal with various problems.
In addition on the course I have met some fantastic like minded dentists that wish to progress and provide the best for our patients, so there is a network of support.
I would highly recommend the courses run by Asif!

As clinicians we are often driven by striving to achieve perfection for our patients. After 5 years at university many of us invest further time and money in further education to enhance our skills and providing comprehensive, ethical and predictable dentistry. This, combined with running your own practice calls for more than just clinical skill and competency. We may feel busy all the time, but rarely do we reflect on our internal processes and systems which could help us work more efficiently and ultimately provide more satisfaction and maintain our energy levels. We all have conventional thought processes and presumptions we make about what makes us, our team, and our practice successful - but we don;t necessarily understand how everything links together, and how to get the most out of our team, rarely do we actually recognise that we ourselves could be a problem! Asif's courses are carefully structured such that various models can be applied to any dental practice resulting in direct improved outcomes - allowing us to work "smarter, not harder" and ultimately to enjoy what we do more and achieve greater satisfaction. Asif really understands people, and how to get the best out of a situation, and shares his knowledge in a captivating and humorous way such that it really makes sense. We have implemented various models suggested by Asif, and it has made a big difference to our practices. I thoroughly recommend anyone looking to improve their day to day experiences in practice - so that you can continue enjoying the dentistry itself!
