My 5 year old daughter wanted to go into the shop yesterday (23/02/2020) and one of the make up artists treated her like a celebrity. She was so kind and gave my daughter a little make over, it really made her day! Such a shame I didn't catch her name. My daughter couldn't stop screeching with excitement after she left.

I've had two different sessions at this store. One in May for a full face session and one today for a focused make up session (eyes). Both times they were patient, explained things really well and I was happy with how my make up looked. For the eyes session I even brought in my own brushes and the eye shadow palette I wanted to use and they adapted and it turned out well. I know some people say staff are rude, but honestly I prefer this store much more to others that I have been to. Thank you M.A.C Covent Garden staff!

It is very expensive and sometimes things aren't always as amazing as they look. There are lots of other better makeup shops around but other than that it seemed ok.

I went into this branch and was seen to by Sophie, who was super friendly and enthusiastic. She helped solve the problem another branch had given me with ease and she gave me amazing tips for improving my makeup skills. Having said that, everyone else was also kind and keen to help. Will definitely be coming to this branch for all things MAC from now on.

Went into MAC with my daughter as it was her 16th birthday and she loves makeup. Had a wander around but other than brushes, my daughter was unsure of what she wanted to get. Elena was super helpful and we ended up with quite a few items. Lovely store. Nice staff. Very happy daughter.

Nice store, good range of products, but it can happen quite often to not find some specific product because they are out of stock. I guess it can be explained by the very central location and the high number of customers they have.
Depending on the employee that attends to you, you can have a good or a bad experience, so far I’ve experienced both.
It can get busy at times, so try to be patient.

Fantastic customer service from Sophie in this Mac Pro store. I had been recommended a concealer in one of the duty free stores but the colour was just too dark. Sophie was able to colour match me correctly and exchanged for the better shade free of charge. Very impressed! Thanks Sophie!

I had a great make-up lesson with Sophie. She taught me lots of techniques to improve my eye make-up, tips on how to get it to stay on/blend, how to prep my face and where to place blush, plus how to load brushes etc. I felt Sophie really listened and I got exactly what I wanted. My only criticism is that the area we were using was grubby (remnants from some other consultants session left on counter) and could have done with a good clean.

I had a 90 minute makeup lesson here. The makeup artist was very knowledgeable and helpful, taking into account my personal preferences with makeup. However the store was very busy and although the makeover area was downstairs from the main shop there were a few interruptions from customers looking to buy products. The products are expensive but are good quality, and the cost of the makeover was deducted from the spend on products so effectively free.

I went there just only to change my foundation which they did only I did have to pay extra but it was worth it they also did some makeup tutorial for free and when I came out I was looking like a superstar thanks for that hunk of an Italian guy with lovely blonde curly hair I think his name is Alex beautiful just beautiful well done

I went to the shop to buy a new foundation and a couple of attendants asked me for an help. I said yes. Unfortunately I was unlucky with the girl with strong pink coloured hair that was impatience to explain in english to me (en. student) how the product works. She exclaimed a: "Oh Jesus" when I asked her to repeat the word I didn't catch and she definitely exclaimed in delight when I said I would come back at another time. I was the only one in the shop, other attendants didn't say anything. I would not go back to the shop as it should not be a moment of tension of the journey, especially if you are going to buy the most simple thing in the world or if "greeting people" are girls your age.

The shop itself is a bit dirtry, everywhere on the glass surfaces are multiple fingerprints, spots, scratches, the wall near the cash desk is dirty too. The consultants are quite strange, some are polite, some are just super rude. Not all of them look good and tidy- dirty dusty t-shirts, unbrushed hair. Not the best presentation of MAC cosmetics.

I had a horrible experience today. I booked for a wedding make up. It was being done by Roxy. She was helpful and saw me earlier than what was booked, but the make up itself was nothing like what I wanted for my big day. I was very clear that I had my colours done and as a summer I needed cool colours to go well with my features. I even brought a colour palette to show what I wanted exactly. As it turned out the make up artists at Mac have not heard of the summer/winter, etc colour schemes. The palette got completely ignored too and I needed up with a warm, reddish/orangy look, that was nothing like what i wanted. I asked her to redo it - this time I was asked to pick the colours and I tried to do my best to help her match the colours to the palette. The next make up done was not really impressive either. She looked at me and joked I'd it too cool Now?'. That insensitivity in my wedding day was just enough to make me feel like crying and run home to do the make up myslef. She felt quite bad and apologised and did not charge me anything for the experience, but it is not something I would recommend for a wedding make up.

Not the best experience, It was a trial for my wedding make up. I got told off for wearing too much mascara, spat on and I ended up looking like a man.

So I was looking to move down to both for university and for my job. I and my sister decided to check out the store as we were also dressed for an event at wembley. We spent almost half an hour in the the store, without anyone approaching us; yet individuals who had been in the store less than five minutes were being approached immediately and clearly got under my skin. Just because I am dressed in my casual clothes was so discriminatory and offensive, I wanted to leave immediately. I was looking to buy quite literally a "full face" for later that day,having been in a rush packing. Yet I got around to buying NOTHING. I am a medical student however to be treated like I am quote 'bottom of the pile'made me feel defeated. I worked hard for my money and respected the company, ( I even bought my sister a very hefty giftcard each christmas through a very well known chain.) I eventually gave up whilst airing my distain. I chose to go to a VERY nearby store and was treated very well. Got a reasonable discount and very good advice. FYI if you're from London it doesn't mean you're better or worse than anyone from other locations within the country. I have never used this brand since and it would take alot to persuade me post incident ( including treating representatives alot more sincerely, as well as using cruelty friendly testing to find new palettes ect.)

I came to this store about a week ago looking for a foundation that would be suitable for a 6 week long hiking holiday across Asia. I had no idea what I was looking for as I'm not a regular mac user (I had been given a voucher); so told the assistant that I wanted something light, both in colour and coverage and also that I do not tan. She picked two colours out from the testers and rubbed them both on my wrist so I could compare. Both were too dark (perhaps she assumed I would tan?), this was also the first time that anyone had used my wrists to match the colour, normally I've had it done on my jaw line. Eventually we settled on a colour, even though I was convinced it was too dark as she did not even bother to test it on my face. She then gave me the foundation and rushed off to another customer. I waited around by the till to pay for about 7-8 minutes, granted it was busy, however there was no system to the tills and customers were pushing in front to pay. With doubt about the colour of the foundation I was given, and also because of the chaos at the back of the shop by the tills, I put down what I was buying and left.
I'm sure this store is perfect if you know exactly what you're looking for, but if MAC products are things that are unknown to you, I'd advise going somewhere a little quieter.
