I went to T&G Nottingham seeking a colour change/consultation multiple times. During my first visit, I was sat down and had to wait roughly 40 minutes to be attended to despite 3 or 4 members of staff seemingly loitering around the salon freely. This is excusable as I didn't book an appointment, but what really ticked me off is that they didn't offer me a drink or anything of the sorts despite it being relatively hot outside. This is the first time this has happened to me at a Toni & Guy over years of quality service and attentive staff in multiple establishments through out the country.
I came to my first appointment with high hopes, planning out my calendar in advance to include the actual colour change, however, I was more than disappointed. Again, I was sat down and had to wait roughly 20 minutes despite being on time and again, I wasn't offered a drink. They told me that the colour change I wanted would completely change the texture of my hair and damage it. I told them that this was fine and that I was okay with that, and that I liked the texture of bleached hair. I was still refused service because "I might not like it when it's done". That's literally what they told me.
I came back a week later to my third, and hopefully last visit. This time, I was immediately sat down without having to wait half an hour, however, what I was told next absolutely shocked me. "You're very indecisive so I don't feel comfortable doing it until you've had a good think". Ladies and gentlemen, I, the customer, am indecisive. I don't know what I want so let T&G Nottingham TELL me what I want.
In conclusion, T&G Nottingham is probably the absolute WORST T&G establishment I've been to in my entire life. The service is poor. The staff are inattentive, inexperienced and rude, but hey, if you like being told what you want and being called indecisive then this place is for you!

Superb salon, full of style. This is the place to go for good hair! The people here are what makes it so good. They are really friendly and will bend over backwards to make you comfortable and feel at home. Endless coffee and head massages all contribute to a relaxing worthwhile experience.

What a fantastic salon! I went for the first time earlier this year and have not looked back. I was a bit nervous about having my hair coloured and cut by someone new but my nerves soon disappeared when The stylist and the colourist both came over to discuss my hair. They were both very helpful and offered suggestions based on what I had hoped to achieve. The salon was busy when I went, which is always a good sign, and everyone was friendly. I was extremely impressed with the cut and the colour and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Toni & Guy. I wouldn't go anywhere else now!!

The cut I had last week was good, I like the lady very much and she was polite and attentive but the colourist has a really rude attitude and so they have lost my custom. I was told what a brilliant colourist he was but he couldn't do the first 3 things I suggested when other colourists have managed it. The colour he did do was patchy and when I pointed it out he got defensive and aggressive. Also he is NOT a stylist so don't pay for his styling because you'd be better doing it yourself.

The best salon in nottingham - highly professional approach in a relaxed, friendly environment. My hair is difficult to work with yet I've always had brilliant haircuts and colour here. Matt is meticulous, careful, and efficient with his haircuts. He is friendly and listens to what I'd like - he always ensures that I am satisfied with my haircut and happily adjusts accordingly. He remembers my hairstyle and haircut whenever I come in.
I can honestly say that I have never walked away from a haircut with Matt (or any of the other stylists) disappointed.

When you're getting follically challenged like I am, you want a sympathetic cut without dreading the outcome. No problem at T&G. They were ready for me when I arrived, the wash and scalp massage was thorough but gentle, I got a coffee with the stupid amounts of sugar I asked for, and the stylist Matt seemed to know exactly what was required. Great conversationalist too. Definitely going back next month.

DO NOT GO TO TONI AND GUY IN NOTTINGHAM. Had my first haircut at the Nottingham store yesterday (27/02/18) and it was the worst haircut experience of my life. I usually enjoy having my hair cut but the hairdresser - Arabella - was extremely rude to the point where I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. The haircut itself was good but the customer service was AWFUL and every time I tried to make small talk / conversation I had short, unfriendly responses with a foul attitude. I felt beyond uncomfortable and I am appalled that I paid for such a terrible experience.

I went to have my hair highlighted and half of my hair is significantly lighter than the other half?! I'm really disappointed because the half that has worked looks great but there is just half the amount of colour on the other side. I definitely don't expect that for £70. This is my second disappointment from tony and guy, I won't be going back.

When I go to the hairdresser I like to feel as though I am being pampered for the short time I am there. I certainly wasn't in this salon. I went in on a Saturday afternoon for a cut and finish. Very little in the way of shampoo and conditioner was used which took less than 1 minute for both. Then on the to cut and and finish which took less than 15 minutes. I know it was very busy and the lady did cut my hair rather well but if I had not attempted to talk she would have completely ignored me. She was pregnant and yes she probably just did not want to be there but I was a paying customer and I felt I might as well have gone to my local barber shop as my husband is in there longer than I was. First time, last time and not a pleasant experience for such a reputable brand name and a price to match.

I had a hair cut 14th feb 2015, not a great experience. The young lady I had was so un-interested, she took little time to discuss what I wanted, and when she washed my hair she was pulling/washing so aggressively that it was actually really painful and I had to tell her numerous times it was really uncomfortable. She wasn't bothered, she didn't offer me a drink like others around me were, she took little time to cut my hair, roughly blow dried it and sent me off. 15mins tops, and my hair looked pretty much the same as it did before I went in. I thanked her and said goodbye as I left as I am a polite person, shouldn't have bothered as she didn't even reply. Really a poor experience, especially for the price.
