It’s a late late review for my amazing language learning experience at Oxford ILS. Last year, I spent whole summer in Oxford with these extraordinary teachers. They really helped me a lot. They knew what you need and gave you the materials that helped you efficiently improving your English. As an Asian learner, I learnt this language in a wrong way in the past. I’d been struggling to understand grammar until I met this school. You must use English to learn English language skills and do not translate to your mother tongue language. During my course I’ve learnt grammar, speaking, reading, writing, etc. The most important thing that I’ve acquired was increasing confidence while speaking English. Everyone in Oxford ILS was glad to help. Teachers and staff were very kind and polite. They provided an unused classroom for me to do my self-study on weekdays. You’ll have their passionate and useful assistance only if you ask. Honestly, Oxford ILS is a wonderful place for children and adults to learn English. Highly recommend to you all. So, come on students! Don’t hesitate to join Oxford ILS! It is the best English school that I have ever been studing in my life. Teachers are so nice and patient. The classes are organized in small groups so you can improve quickly. I started in b1 and in a few months I reached advanced level. I recommend the school to everyone

My first experience in the school was for one month in February. I studied in the intermediate class, at the end of the course I reached the next level. I decided to come back for another month in March, to study the next level. After a lot of lessons, I can say that the teachers are friendly and well-prepared. I really enjoyed going for lunch with everyone from the school, as a result this creates a family environment. Finally, it is in a good location with modern facilities that allow a variety of teaching methods like using video documentaries and interactive activities. my experience in Oxford ILS was incredible. I had a great time in there and a would like to do it again. if you’re searching for a summer school i honestly recommend this one. it is a medium and humble school that make then perfect. about the evolution, you definitely will improve. for example myself: before going for one week there i couldn’t write a text fluently but now i can. i won self confidence to do everything. Situated in one of the coolest road in Oxford, the school, pretty closed to the city centre, is very easy to reach. The courses are organized in small groups, in order to give you all the explanations you need. I found teachers both prepared and nice . The atmosphere is so friendly that you’ll find here the best conditions to improve your English. A serious, but also amusing way of learning: highly recommended.

In my opinion, this two months that I spent in this school was very enjoyable for me. I met a lot of teachers, who helped me when I needed, and there wasn't any lesson that I didn't like. We had many programme in the city, so this course wasn't just about the language learning. I have to mention that my classmates were very kind to me and they liked to deal with each other. In summarise, I can recommend this school to everyone who want to learn english in a very quickly way.

I spent two really wonderful weeks in Oxford International Language School. There were fascinating classes with Hugh, Ricardo and Orla. All people were cheerful and helpful. The school is located not far from the city centre, and there is a lot of restaurants and cafes around it. Also, my host family was perfect as well. Oxford ILS is a very good school. The Teachers are very professional, polite and patient. I have studied English here for 10 months and my English has improved a lot. I really enjoy the experience and will come back again.

I was four weeks in ILS Oxford. I had 30 hours English per Week. In the morning we had a fix program where we improved our general speaking, grammar, vocabulary, etc. In the afternoon or evening we focused on our personally biggest difficulties. I enjoyed both and I think I have improved my language skills. The Teachers are very kindly, and I had the feeling that they are really interested to help you. Because the school is small, the classes are very small too, compared with most of other language schools. Because I was in Oxford in the Off-Season we were only two students in the morning lessons. Everybody can imagine, how intensive the English course was. English was never my favorite subject in the school, but I saw in ILS, that learning English can be very interesting, and I can even enjoy it. Off course I couldn’t learned everything but now I am motivated to continue learning English back home.

I lived 6 months in Oxford working as Doctor at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and I attended a General Advanced English course in this school. My English level improved a lot thanks to lessons made by Ricardo, the Director. I liked so much the school that during the summer my sister came to Oxford to attend a junior summer course too. I think it is an high level school and i suggest this solution if you are in Oxford and you want improve your English in a family environment.

Oxford International Language School offers a wide range of courses from beginners to advaced ones. I really appreciate central location of the school, competent teachers (Orla, Ricardo) and friendly atmosphere. First, I was quite surprised how small the school is, however now I think this is the biggest advantage of the school - I do attend one-to-one classes which help me to improve quickly specific areas which I am struggling with (grammar, pronanciation, spelling....). Would definitely recommend.

I took a five-week IELTS preparation course and had a fantastic experience! In the morning I had an English general class to fill up the gaps of my English skills that is needed in order to achieve the scores I wanted. And in the afternoon, I focused more on test strategies. I really like the way they teach. They kept giving me motivation to learn. Instead of completely focusing on “IELTS techniques” like those language schools in Taiwan, where I am from, I was truly learning English in OXF ILS. Not only did I have the information and skills that are needed for IELTS, I also can feel a HUGE improvement on my English skills. Eventually, I got the scores I need in IELTS, and even higher than I expected! However, the most important thing is how friendly and experienced the teachers and staff are. When I finished the course, it was extremely difficult to say goodbye to them, because they feel like friends to me. Many times my classmates and I even had lunch with our teacher! And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate, just ask them and they will give you information you need or help you as soon as they can. Besides, there were only a few students in the class, so I had way more chance to speak, make mistakes (a really great way to improve English), and interact with others. Also, the school is located near the city centre, with only 10-15 minutes on foot. And within 5 minutes' walk there are two main supermarkets and many restaurants for you to have lunch. Furthermore, my homestay family is extraordinarily good as well! The food is delicious, their place is sparkling clean and they are extremely nice and helpful. Undoubtedly, this is a language school that I highly recommend it.

I would like to highly recommend this incredible English school. The teachers and staff are well-prepared, very professional and they understand quickly what a student need to improve his language. In addition, the school has a personalized and specific style, which makes it nicer and effective. I prepared the IELTS exam with Hugh and Orla, and I feel confident and solid about my acquired knowledge, especially because I learned an extensive vocabulary for writing and speaking and I practiced my pronunciation and reading skills. This school is great, with professional teachers and nice, modern clasrooms. Lessons are interesting and the groups are small so you can learn a lot and the teachers pay attention to you.

Very high level of teaching, nice atmosphere. The school is facused on speaking, but you can also improve your grammar and vocabulary here. Small groups makes everyone is treatened individual. If wanted, school also organises free time for students, like: trips, pubs meetings, watching films.

We contacted many if not to say all language schools in Oxford and have used our local friends to find out about all options. All of the others had some obstacles whether there were too many students of one nationality, to many students in one course, charging hours even for bank holidays (all of the others), having hidden fees and costs, not supplying the appropriate course, having low qualtiy premises, being on a less attractive location or even remote, beeing more fun and party oriented and sometimes even counting the paid hours as such, or last but not least charging extraordinary high fees and some even forcing you to use payment systems with higly disadvantage (+4,5%) currency converters and even pretending that this is the best method of payment. Finally we took the decision for our 16 year old boy from Germany in an outstanding favour for Oxford ILS. We did not regret so: Ricardo the general manager was really flexible with all his decisions in order to comply to our needs. This is the place to go if you want no troubles and real value for the time and money put into this: straight forward fee policy, low student number per course and courses took even place with only one student if there is no demand. Our son went during Easter for two weeks and we had booked an intensive course from 9am to 4:30pm. He reported to have been with only one other student first and later with two. Often the lessons were extended as needed to finish a subject and not to finish on time. Training was on a high level split among two teachers, one in the morning the other in the afternoon. Morning courses where challenging right appropriate to the students while the afternoon course focussed on talking and further practising. There was always homework to be done for the next day or even over the weekend. In the clean and nice school building there are lounges, a well equipped kitchen and a clean and well furnished garden available to be used during the break. The school has a strict environmental friendly policy which is in favour of the students who like not beeing exposed to chemicals in constructions materials as usually in Britain. Bikes can be stored easily and safely in the back yard without becoming wet or even stoolen. The building is historic but also architecturally sound and well maintained. It is right situated at one of the most attractive local streets in Britain (according to some recent findings, see google: Cowley Road) with lots of small scale shops, cafés and the like. Easy to reach with public transport, by bike or on foot. We can highly recommend this Language School especially to Germans who do not like to be together with those German party-students so predominant in language schools normally and who prefer instead to lay focus on effective language teaching in Oxford. We sincerely hope the school will remain its atmosphere and character throughout the surly bright future it is looking to. We will book again the next course for some of the next summer weeks for sure.

Widzę tutaj wiele pozytywnych opini o szkole I ja również się do nich przyłącze ???? Po długim poszukiwaniu szkoły po wielu zmianach natrafiłam właśnie na Was. Pamiętam nasze pierwsze spotkanie dotyczące informacji o zajęciach,zostałam bardzo serdecznie przyjęta. Wyjasniliscie mi wszystko od A do Z ????????Dzięki czemu nie stresowalam się niczym przychodząc na pierwsze zajęcia lekcyjne. Zajęcia lekcyjne są prowadzone w małych grupach(dla mnie to jest bardzo ważne) Grono pedagogiczne bardzo przyjazne oraz potrafiące dokładnie wytłumaczyć. Mój angielski był słaby,obawiałam się że nie zrozumiem. Na szczęście moje obawy szybko minęły bo tak dobrze wyszkolonych nauczycieli,potrafiących dotrzeć I przekazać wiedzę nie mogłam nigdzie w Oxfordzie spotkać. Lekcje są prowadzone w bardzo ciekawy sposób I naprawdę wchodzi wiele informacji do głowy. Podoba mi się również to,że są przygotowywane wszelakie materialy dodatkowe,a nie tylko książka I ćwiczenie tak jak mialam w pozostałych szkołach. Długo mogłabym opisywać ???? Jednym zdaniem???? Consiglio vivamente questa scuola. Mi sono trasferita ad Oxford 3 mesi fa,la scuola come la homestay è diventata presto una seconda famiglia per me. Era la mia prima esperienza all’estero ed il mio inglese era poco più che elementare. Grazie agli insegnanti altamente qualificati,professionali,disponibili e coinvolgenti sono riuscita in poco tempo ad ottenere un livello di inglese upper-intermediate. Le lezioni sono dinamiche,interessanti e mai noiose. Durante la settimana gli studenti hanno la possibilità di partecipare a svariate attività grazie alle quali hai modo di socializzare e migliorare il tuo inglese divertendoti. Inoltre,le classi non sono mai numerose,cosa fondamentale se vuoi apprendere una nuova lingua velocemente. Jest to genialna szkoła prowadzona przez zaangażowanych nauczycieli i kompetentną kadrę kierowniczą, reagującą sprawnie w niezwykle życzliwy sposób gdy zachodzi taka potrzeba. Moja córka Justyna (17lat) uczestniczyła w zajęciach dla dorosłych, syn Stanisław (15 lat) w grupie młodzieżowej. Oboje są zachwyceni innowacyjnością i ciekawym sposobem prowadzenia zajęć. Wprost zakochali się w Pani Orla (Orlej), irlandzkiej lektorce, o niezwykłej osobowości, której zajęcia skrzą się pomysłami i są niezwykle urozmaicone i wciągające, dostosowane do potrzeb i oczekiwań uczestników. Żadnych schematów!. Dzieci z grupy młodzieżowej są pod niezwykle troskliwą opieką. Otrzymują nawet darmowy bilet na przejazdy w Oxfordzie. Dyrekcja odbiera je z lotniska na życzenie rodzica. Mieszkają w starannie dobranych rodzinach angielskich, gdzie mogą się czuć jak u siebie w domu i siłą rzeczy używają angielskiego. W soboty mają organizowane wycieczki do atrakcyjnych miejsc wokół Oxfordu. Po południu zwiedzają miejscowe atrakcje, chłoną uniwersytecką atmosferę tego niezwykłego miasta. Lekcje dla nich są niezwykle dynamiczne, dotyczą praktycznych zagadnień, świetnie przygotowują do codziennego operowania językiem angielskim. Mój syn skończył szkołę amerykańską, a twierdzi, że w Oxford ILS nauczył się czegoś nowego. Był zachwycony wymową i akcentem lektorów. "Nareszcie prawdziwy angielski" to jego pierwsze słowa gdy wylądował w Rębiechowie. Zajęcia dla dorosłych też są super. Mnóstwo dyskusji i rozmów oprócz typowego nauczania. Każdy uczestnik kursu otrzymuje niezwykle wnikliwą opinie jak kontynuować przygodę z językiem angielskim. A do tego innowacyjne zajęcia popołudniowe, zwiedzanie miasta z "lokalsami", gry na orientacje, słynne wiosłowanie (punting - specyficzna atrakcja Oxfordu). A przy tym wszystkim niewygórowane jak na Anglię ceny i to za produkt ponadprzeciętnej jakości. Bardzo polecam szkołę Państwa Ewy i Ricardo.

Bardzo miła atmosfera. Zajęcia prowadzone są w małych grupach. Nauczyciele są prawdziwymi profesjonalistami. Syn znacznie pogłębił znajomość języka angielskiego. Nawiązał wiele nowych, międzynarodowych znajomości. W przyszłym roku wyślę go ponownie.

Diese Sprachschule ist sehr empfehlen, weil hier professionell gearbeitet wird !! Bereits bei der Planung für einen dreimonatigen Sprachaufenthalt unseres Sohnes bekamen wir verlässliche Informationen und hatten einen festen Ansprechpartner. Für die Besprechung unserer Anliegen wurde sehr viel Zeit investiert und dabei zielgerichtet analysiert und optimale Lösungen gefunden. Das sprachliche Ausgangsniveau unseres Sohnes wurde in einem Vorabtest verlässlich geprüft. Auf dieser Grundlage entstand ein individuelles Programm für seine Bedürfnisse. Fragen unsererseits wurden im gesamten Vorfeld der Planung stets zeitnah und konstruktiv bearbeitet. Ebenfalls war stets Flexibilität hinsichtlich individueller Wünsche und Bedürfnisse vorhanden. Besser und motivierender kann man im Vorfeld nicht arbeiten. Bis hierher ein ganz großes Kompliment und Dankeschön !!! Rückblickend war der Aufenthalt ein riesengroßer Erfolg. Unser Sohn hat in dieser Zeit wahrscheinlich mehr und nachhaltiger gelernt, als in einem ganzen Jahr Schulenglisch. Er wurde hervorragend auf das Abitur vorbereitet. Nach der Hälfte seines Aufenthaltes habe ich unseren Sohn besucht und konnte mich selbst überzeugen: tolle Lehrer, tolle Schule, tolle Gastfamilie super Atmosphäre !!! Allen Eltern, die bei ihren Kindern Wert auf fundierte Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift legen, sei diese Sprachschule wärmstens ans Herz gelegt. Ein echter Geheimtipp!!! Ich gehe davon aus, dass auch die Kurse für Erwachsene hervorragend sind.
