I attended Kingston college in 2015 I studied sports for 2 years I DO NOT recommend it to anyone, when I first started I was in hospital for expected meningitis my mum phoned the college to let them know and they accused my mum of lying for me! After I showed them the note from the hospital. In 2016 I was in a relationship with a guy long story short when we split up he ended up putting me in hospital after the incident I informed the college about this and how the police are involved so we will have to be separated, well this ended up turning out so wrong, the college FAILED to protect me the let the guy come to the college on his days off you would come to my classes and follow me around and then the college ended up getting rid of me and keeping him on for an extra year. The college made me feel UNSAFE!

its fine, bursary is too strict (limited to food unlike the other kids) which is unfair, student services are lovely. would recommend a college that lets you eat what you want if you have to go onto bursary more than this one as its very restricted

Did they advanced GCSE course from 2011-2012. Kim Bacon was the lead at the time, hope she still is now! She was very supportive, managed everything well, was very dedicated, and really supported me then- along with every other pupil.

Terrible place. I was doing an IT course with the worse teacher and personal tutor who I have ever had the misfortune to study under in my life. Her name is Penny Smith in the IT Computing department. Penny Smith is a passive aggressive, sadistic and prejudice individual who should not be allowed to teach or given any authority over another human being. She acting as my personal tutor made it her duty to pressure all of my other teachers to not mark my merit or distinction work thus giving me no chance to earn UCAS points to apply to a decent university. Penny Smith was in charge of overseeing my University application and she discouraged me saying that I should not apply to University s its not for me and I'm not good enough. I must add that I was warned about Penny Smith by my friends who had very similar experiences with her the previous year and I was just unlucky enough to have to live it. I am so glad that I endured this experience, moved onto University, raised a family and built a successful career in the IT sector because Penny Smith was hell bent suffocating any of my achievements. A definite zero stars.

Selfish and careless. That about sums it up. They are no longer doing A levels which, after ‘careful consideration’ they decided to put into action after hundreds of teens had already applied for their A level courses. Now, we are all forced to go somewhere else, somewhere we haven’t applied for, somewhere that will probably make us unhappy since that’s not what we wanted for our future. I don’t think that they have taken into consideration how badly this will affect all of us. We have worked ourselves to the bone for this college, poured our hearts and souls into getting in to this college, stopped at nothing to make sure we get a place at this college. They thought that turning us away would be the best decision. For who? It’s certainly not for us, the students, who are in desperate need to be educated in a subject that we are passionate about. It’s sickening. How the future of our society rests on our shoulders yet no one cares if we are educated or not. You’d rather us just be factory fodder. "What do they matter?" Right? We matter a lot. These A level courses, this college mattered a lot. We are shattered due to this disgusting "careful consideration" made by Kingston. We don’t know what to do or where to go and no help is being offered to make sure that the students they kicked to the curb will actually get into another college. Oh, and I checked, there’s only one college that does A levels left. I sincerely hope that this "careful consideration" has dire consequences for Kingston. In regards to the email they sent out, I highly doubt anyone feels any remorse for the students that have no where else to go, for the students that have dedicated all of year 11 to coming to the college, for the students that thought that Kingston was gonna help shape them and their futures. I don’t think they actually mean anything by their apologies. They don’t understand the inconvenience this has caused us. Not one bit. It’s cruel to have decided this so late into the year, when everyone has applied and gone to open days and interviews. This should have been decided before application season so we could know what the deal was. So, thank you, Kingston, for absolutely nothing.

I think that your experience in this College depend of the kind of Module your learning or have learned : Arts, engineer, Areonotic.. Because I'm learning English courses during the evening twice per week and for now the experience is amazing. My two teachers are very kind and dynamic. Courses are very interesting, the price for 4 months was very cheap, 325 pounds, for the quality. Good value.

Fantastic place to work and study. I have both worked here (for 11 years) and been a student and saw many changes in that time, but at the heart there is a dedicated management team striving for the best experience for their students. This College is continuously improving and are always open to suggestions for better growth.

The course I was studying was a boring drag. Most of the modules was useless. Some of the teachers there are patronising, rude, stuck up and unhelpful. Teachers don't accept their students as individuals, they pick and choose their favourites which is ridiculous. ( you are there to teach so treat everyone the same with respect. If you are struggling with mental health issues, the support team are practically non existent. Teachers will judge and look down on you when you're going through slight problems. That so called unfunny "comedian" Hamza is used every year after your first few days being enrolled, spewing the same garbage which is absolutely pointless going to. scraping the bottom of the barrel there. Don't bother studying here.

Students from Kingston College in Richmond Road are smoking cannabis, shouting and playing loud music behind the college building in Canbury Passage. The weed smoking students are there on daily basis during lunch time between 12-2.30pm then they are going back inside Kingston College. People some with children endure to watch them daily when using Canbury Passage.

I worry about working in a place where a minority of students undermine the teacher with passive aggressive emails despite being given everything to succeed.

if you're considering doing the Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering extended diploma course, it is a good course in terms of entering Universities, mostly towards manufacturing or designing line. Good and professional lecturers with great opportunities to come in contact with the very best in the industry. If youre focussing more on doing base line maintenance, youre better off working towards an Aircraft Engineering license CAT A/B in an institution. On the other hand, this is still a great college to get into the field of Aviation.

Considering you had to have good GCSEs to be considered for this college, what a total waste of 2yrs for students, close it down & build flats instead. An absolute disgrace of a college.

If you want to become a B licenced Aircraft engineer, I recommend that when you turn 18 start paying for Aircraft Modules and take the exams in Luton, Stansted or Gatwick. They cost £40 to £60 each module. But with that many employers may just take you on and fill your log books whilst still getting your Level 3 done. Wish they would have advised students about this earlier on. Completing the modules is the most important thing because regardless of what you have (even degrees), companies will take you on more willingly if you have completed all the modules B1 or B2 or both even. I know it looks like you gotta pay a lot for these modules, but its worth every pence. You will recover the money in no time.

I had a horrific and degrading experience when visiting back in 2013 for open evening from bullying staff. I was currently studying for the BTEC science level 3 extended diploma but my old college sadly got closed down halfway through the course. So I visited Kingston College on open day to see if I could reenrol on their BTEC science level 3 course for the second year and to continue my studies here. The staff were really rude and disorganised, arguements even broke out amongst staff as soon as I arrived at the entrance. I seriously felt the hostility as soon as I arrived. I spoke to a member of staff about the course I wanted to apply for and she asked what goals were, I said I wanted to progress onto university to study psychology. As I was so stressed over the horrible atmosphere and over what was going on with my studies I failed a maths test which I was told to do. She patronisingly said "You know you have to be good at maths and actually be smart to do psychology, right?". She even said "I don't think you should study. Why don't you just get a job, any job" because I didn't have traditional A-level/GCSEs which was actually due to school bullying and why I was in college to gain my qualifications again. I was in tears and said that studying psychology was my dream and that I didn't want the studying that I've previously finished to go to waste. They actually sat there convincing me to do something else and leave. It was honestly like an X factor audition.. just to get into a mediocre BTEC course. They brought in the course leader to speak with me as I was adminant to get into the course I wanted since I was studying at level 3 anyway. She laughed at my past qualifications and what happened at my old college. She even said patronisingly "We cannot let someone like you on this course. Let's get some GCSE/Level 1 courses/skills for life application forms for you". I walked out crying at this stage and my mum was horrified. I was 19 years old at the time and already had level 2 qualifications behind me and just completed my first year on a level 3 course. I am so glad that I didn't study at this horrible place. The teacher was blatantly a very bitter and miserable middle aged woman who was unhappy with her life. Well guess what? Fast forward to now I managed to finish my level 3 BTEC extended diploma the following year and got into university. I got a 2:1 in my psychology degree and absolutely aced my research methods modules that I was told I couldn't do due to my maths grades. In fact, statistics was my strongest topic and I even gained first class marks in this. Teachers are meant to inspire young people not patronise them and bully them. To whoever is reading this do not let people destroy you or tell you that you can't do it! I just wish that I could attach my degree to this review and remember the names. Disgusting college! I honestly hope that teacher and woman who was working in enrolment/open day reads this and regrets treating young and talented people who have a lot going for them. After all, I can't say the same for the staff here. If my day at open day was this appalling I can't imagine what it would be like studying here. AVOID

Won't ever recommend it to anyone. I applied to go there to college this year. The photography tutor was rude and nasty to me and interview after interview, they told me different things. In the end, they put words in my mouth and it took them months to tell me they didn't want me. Never ever go there, avoid!
