I took my car here for an MOT and service for the first time late last year. The service and knowledge here is brilliant - I was asked about what had been done on the last service so that no pointless bits were re-done and I could avoid the associated costs. When my partner dropped me off to collect my car, he mentioned that he had a small issue with his car and they had a quick look at it and fixed it with no charge. Really really recommend this place, great service, done when they said it would be done, fair prices and friendly people.

Called on a Friday and was booked in the following Monday. Very nice man who came across highly knowledgeable. Very considerate of COVID guidelines - 2m distance, wearing gloves and minimising contact where possible within the car. Very quick turn around and he took the time to show me the broken spring that was replaced and go through the breakdown of the cost. Cannot fault the service and would definitely recommend this local business.

Most disappointing did not keep me informed on repairs, garage dirty and very untidy. The mechanic seemed to have little knowledge on what had caused the initial issue. He over charged me and insisted i paid cash? will not be back avoid like the plague.

Great, experienced mechanic who was friendly, upfront, honest and obviously knew what he was talking about. He knew what the problem was without even looking at the car, just a poor description of the symptoms from me. He took in car that evening too (around 7 pm) and it was fixed by about midday the next day. He estimated the cost and it was cheaper than expected, price was more than reasonable. Think I have found my new g-to mechanic, would definitely recommend him.

Recently moved to Beeston and needed someone to fix a mechanical issue on my fiesta. Julian fit me in to take a look at it the same morning. A few hours later he had fixed it and charged me at minimal cost. Really good service and value for money. I'll be returning in the future and would recommend to anyone.

I cant recommend Julian from Smith's Garage enough. I moved to West Bridgford last year from London and needed a mechanic. I called a few locally who after going through the sounds my car was making provided no information other than to bring my car down and they'd let me know what they would do after looking at it but wouldn't given me any idea of time or cost. Then I called Julian and he listened and gave me two suggestions as to what it would be. He offered to collect the car and call me to go through what was wrong after he'd expected the car and let me know the best way forward providing an exact cost. He did all of this and dropped my car back to me within two days which really helped so I didn't have to leave work early needlessly. Since then I've returned to Julian for my MOT without even having to actually take my car. He's been informative and what he says, he does. Recently over the weekend (when least expected) my car had a fault. I called Julian expecting to leave a message but he answered and when I told him of what had happened, told me what to do and collected the car on Monday night as promised and had everything done and dusted dropping my car back to me Wednesday afternoon. I wouldn't go anywhere else and would highly recommend Julian for anyone that's fed up of being duped by garages and waiting around being told nothing. It's good to know that there are some really professional and good people out there that do provide the best service. Jay from NG2
