Well happy with the whole experience.
The lesson itself was well structured and very informative, came away with alot more confidence in my welding.
Also, it’s a good laugh. A nice relaxed, informal atmosphere, no pressure to rush through it, you learn at your own pace. Well recommended!

I used the Machine shop to replace the gearbox on my CBR600F4, this is a engine out and split it open job. I would of struggled to do this job at home, probably not have done it at all! The Machine Shop is the ideal environment to carry the work out in.
Bob is very friendly and helpful he will ensure you have the tools available to carry out the job, this included him buying an engine stand for me to carry out the rebuild on; all for a modest monthly membership.
I am very happy with The Machine Shop and would definitely use it again!

I booked in initially for a welding lesson, never welded before and after a few hours with Bob, I was amazed with my results. I enjoyed it that much I've opened a membership... 5 stars easily, I will be recommending to everyone!

Went on the weld with a friend, I needed to bring my machine for both of us to be able to tig weld which was great as it meant I was able to try out my new machine rather than use someone else’s unit and see what it was capable of.
Bob has a refreshing and clear approach to teaching, exactly what we were after. There’s also a nice buzz around the place. Looking forward to coming back to do more!

Great place to get stuff done or just visit for a cup of coffee and a friendly chat. Loads of equipment available to work on your projects with and comprehensive lessons on how to use them. Highly reccomend. 11/10

What an amazing workshop, ridiculous amount of knowledge and talent bouncing around the place, equipment is top notch, staff excellent and the other members make it a community you want to be part of. If you can't make it here- you can't make it anywhere :) Bob is the best of British :)

I went down to The Machine-Shop with a disc that I couldn’t get off my wheel. After being told by 2 local bike mechanics that they couldn’t do it, Bob had it off within 5 mins and was kind enough to show me how he did it. Fantastic facilities, great concept and top bloke. I will be returning for a monthly membership soon!

Absolutely brilliant place. Had a Mig welding class with Bob and it was the bee's knees worth the 2 hour drive. You get straight to it and it's a great environment. It's safe to say Bob is doing a massive service to enthusiasts and I hope the business grows even during covid-19.

Booked onto the 4 hour MIG welding course. I have been on a couple of courses previously but this has easily been the best one. Virtually 4 hours of non-stop welding tailored to what you need to learn. One part that I really appreciated was machine setup as this normally isn't covered. Came away being so much more confident about welding and will book onto the other TIG courses closer to when I need to know it. Highly recommended.

I went down to see Bob on Saturday morning to do the tig welding course. The Machine Shop is a great place.
Bob is very relaxed and clearly explains how things work.
The shop itself is clean and tidy.
I really enjoyed the training, not your typical theory based, all practical which helps build confidence really quick.
Would recommend the training to anyone that wants to learn welding or use the workshop equipment.
Will be returning to complete some projects. 5star rating

I recently used the Machine Shop for a tig welding course to make the best of my tig welder in my home workshop. Bob, the instructor is really friendly and presented the info I needed at just the right time. Loads of practical work with any theory needed thrown in as we went along. The workshop itself is really well equipped with good quality kit, I cant imagine much kit you might need for a project on a bike that isnt there!

I had a 4 hour welding course here and it was absolutely Brill I had little or no welding experience the person in charge is a really nice chap they also do other machine shop experiences.
Would recommend it to any body who wants to learn.

Great place with the tools and advice too get those 'On-Hold' projects kick started!! Mainly Motorbike focused regarding vehicles but if you need too turn or mill or weld or blast n spray a part(s) for any project then the machine shop is your place. Even if they dont have the piece of equipment you need , ask and they are open too purchasing it if there is a need . Pop along even if your not sure and make ur mind up ???? ????

Never done TIG welding before, I found the 4 hour Tig introduction a great benefit, there was a tiny bit of basic theory but then it was straight in to the practical side of things. This covered sharpening the tungsten and also went through the welder settings. Started in a flat sheet of steel then progressed to doing joints. Excellent facilities and he truly knows his stuff.

Took my AUDI A3 here to change a few bits prior to having my MOT. Bob did a really good job helping me restore my diamond cut alloys they are now as good as new. He also helped me change my front tyres using the tyre machine as I couldn't get the nack . There was also a fully qualified Mechanic on site; Connor who helped me do my service and change my disks pads and a CV boot. Doing all the work here saved me £300 that it would have cost me to have all the work done at a garage. My car later passed its MOT with no advisories. Ten out of ten for a knowledgeable service with great friendly staff who where more than happy to help !

Did the 4 hour Tig welding lesson for £70, I'd never welded before this and was really happy with how much I learned. I'd reccomend to anyone wanting to learn and I'm looking forward to going back soon to improve more ????

Had Indepth instructions on welding of aluminium. Very good. Also the work shop is very well layed out lots of kit to use. With a good knowledge source running it. Well done Bob. Now time to practice and practice and practice I will be back

All the tools are on hand and there are classes with Bob to learn a new skill (welding/milling/turning/..) when needed for your project - or a helpful word when you are struggling - all without fluff - pragmatic and to the point.
There are different levels of membership to adjust up and down the sophistication of equipment you have access to each month when your latest project needs them. Go visit - it’s the dream garage you always wanted.
