Bent out my rear wheel whilst out touring for the first time - hit a big ol’ pothole just outside of Brighton & the weight of my bags did damage such that it was unridable - After visiting two other stores without much luck (they didn’t seem to have any experience with the older systems, or the correct tools) - I went to Aaron’s & without delay he sorted the vintage bike right out with his extensive experience, methodical approach & was able to teach me a lot about the general upkeep of the bike & some very prudent safety tips & potential wear-and-tear issues to look out for in my next few hundred km & beyond. Super chuffed with the service, price & customer experience overall. Would highly recommended his bike mechanic services for second hand / vintage. He set a good price, no bullshite & also was willing to tinker with quite a few bits without any charge at all.

I agree with all the others. Best bike repair in Brighton. If you are a bike bore go somewhere else. If you want to get your bike fixed this is the place. Aaron wants to get your bike (all bikes?!) up and running, in a minimal time with no fuss and for a fair price. Informative and helpful. Get mine and the kids bikes done here. I naively chucked my chain away, once when in broke in town. Went to a different bike shop and they said I needed to replace all the cogs and chain and quoted £200+. I said surely there must a cheaper alternative. He said the new chain would slip off the old cogs and therefore everything needed replacing (he is right to an extent, the old chain and cogs become a comfy old pair and wear old together). Aaron's solution put on an old chain. Easy! That's the sort of practical fix I like. He said I might lose a high (or low?) gear because of the mismatch between the cog and chain. I lost one (out of 30 odd) which I never missed. I think he charged £10 including the chain. Brilliant!

Very happy with the service provided, on Friday while cycling from Saltdean to Hove the crank on my bike became loose and unstable, luckily Aaron's bike shop was near by and within 15 minutes of arriving my bike was fixed and ready to get me back home..
Also straightened by back wheel which was slightly buckled...
I will definitely be going back for a full bike service in the future..

Aaron gave me a general diagnostic of the condition of my bike (advised it's in good condition), indexed the gears, tightened the break cables, changed my pedals for me (brought the new pedals with me). All done in 20mins for £10! Great service, highly recommended.

excellent service , couldn't of asked for better. Really knows his stuff spent ages on my bike. must of done 6/7 test rides and gear checks before neutralizing the problem; not being easy to sort. With a couple hours of time spent on it i was blown away with only being charged £5 and my bike being fixed! Top notch! Well done Aaron!!

Perfect service every time I take my bike in. Aaron is really generous with advice, time and charges. Every time I find myself being talked out of spending money I don't need to. Aaron's always most interested in what's right for the bike and your ride.
Can keep odd opening times on occasions, but email to check if you are making a trip and you'll be fine.
Best bike service in Brighton by a mile. I've used four shops to date.

Friendly guys and helpful advice, however they didn't complete the job. They fixed my brakes, cables, and supposedly a flat tyre. the tyre was flat again the day after i collected from the shop, and on closer inspection it didn't look like the nuts had been removed (really rusted on). When i finally got them off to remove the tyre, turns out an inner tube that was three sizes too large for my wheel was in there, folded up to fit, and there was a large hole in the tube next to the valve. no mention of any of this when i collected my bike. it was probably there from the previous owner, but if you're going to fix a flat you would have noticed. poor service.

Went in to ask if they sold Cycle Helmets . Not even a hello from them just a blank stare at me . Felt very uncomfortable in the shop . Got a rude sarcastic smile and a no from possibly Aron . Was going to buy a bike from them but not now . There are many bike shops in Brighton with actually nice friendly staff I'll go to them .I got the impression that they won't care too much about this review as way too far up themselves .
