I had two visits to the Fetal Medicine Centre for the harmony test package, which includes 2 scans at weeks 10 and 12, in addition to the harmony test.
Everybody was friendly and helpful. The first scan was pretty average but I specially liked my second scan with a different consultant, Dr Carolyn Paul. She was absolutely great. Very patient and knowledgeable, explained everything she was doing and seeing on the screen and answered my many questions. I could see she was excited too and it is so good to see this in a consultant..
I would recommend her 100% and will definitely come back for later scans.

I went there for the package: Harmony + scan.
Every one in the team is very friendly.
The ultrasound specialist Katherine (sorry if I misspell it) was lovely and attentive.
I had to re-take my blood, as the were some problems with delivery, and both times the Nurse was very professional.

Very good experience all round. What was a horrific experience in the NHS, I am so glad I paid and endured a much better one with FMC.
I would highly recommend for any procedure that may be upsetting or worrying as you are in the right hands here. Dr Perez was very good indeed.

This is the best ultrasound service in London. After one of the NHS scans I was left with anxiety and confusion as one of the measurements was off the charts. I turned to FMC for second opinion - everything turned out to be fine. One feels here in competent hands, and more importantly they take the time to go over all details. The scan is comprehensive and Dr. Perez is brilliant.

Fantastic service! So far had 3 scans with Dr Nanda who's an absolute hero. Incredibly professional and detailed, and yet at the same time really empathetic. She had to break the news to us that unfortunately the heartbeat stopped for one of the twins at the first appointment so let's be honest it was pretty tough but she was very warm and supportive. 100% recommending!

Haven’t come to my appointment yet but the receptionist is really unprofessional. I called in three times as she didn’t get my email address right and make mistakes in repeating my email address. When I asked her to repeat again so I can make sure this time it’s 100% correct she answered “I will repeat it the last time”. Then shouldn’t you get it right in the first place? I booked another appointment at another clinic in Harley street and the process was so smooth and a completely different experience.

I am very grateful for the excellent care that I received from Dr Surabhi Nanda for an amniocentesis procedure. She is experienced, reassuring, patient and meticulous. As I was 19 weeks, it was also a bonus to have the full routine 20 week anomaly scan included in the price. The scan was more thorough than my NHS scan and Dr Nanda explained everything in detail. The amnio needle only took a few minutes and was straightforward. Dr Nanda is highly skilled in such an important procedure and it was a privilege to be seen by her.

Have visited the centre now five times. It was a recommendation from my trusted gynaecologist. During the first pregnancy, two sonographers - over a viability scan and a follow-up for free - had to break the bad news that I had had a missed miscarriage. I may not have felt it at that time, but especially the first sonographer - the messenger - acted professionally and with sympathy. During the second pregnancy, we have gone for the full service (viability scan, Harmony) and are happy with the service provided. Over all these visits, we have seen different specialists, and all of them were attentive, friendly and came across competent. I would recommend.

We highly recommend this centre. Not only sonographer explained everything to us in detail, she also showed most of the scan expected for the dates. She was not in rush n made sure that we were explained everything and that we understood everything.
Looking forward to next scan with them.

I had such a great experience doing my scan here. Dr.Kishi was wonderful at explaining everything and it didn’t feel at all rushed. She really put me at ease. They only work with doctors and no sonographers and they have brilliant consultants, all trained by Prof.Nicolaides.

Had gone there with my wife. The entire experience was excellent right from reception staff to the doctors and of course Professor himself. The doctors who are doing fellowship under Professor do the scan but each scan is than seen by the Professor himself and guidance and advice given accordingly. He is a very compassionate person whose life has been devoted to Fetal Medicine and his knowledge and experience are unfathomable. He makes you feel very comfortable and answered all our queries. All in all, I would very highly recommend this place and Professor himself.

I went with my partner and the surrogate and we were treated so nicely by the receptionist and the doctor and we were surprised of how professional everyone was! We also went with a list of questions for the doctor and she was happy to answer everything and even gave us her personal email if there is anything else that we need! Very caring patient centered clinic! Definitely recommend!

I know it is Corona, but how come people are allowed to go to the pub and everywhere else and I am not allowed to attend our baby scan. Was not allowed to take a video as well.. You should understand that this is an important moment for every expecting family, which of course it is ia now gone..

I had my scans and tests done here for my second and third pregnancies. It's a fantastic clinic - very professional, caring, efficient and fairly priced. The scans are done by doctors, unlike at some competitor clinics, which use sonographers unless you pay up for a doctor. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service, the receptionists are lovely, the doctors are caring and very professional. Very confused about the bad staff reviews, but knowing the kind of horrendous patients I saw there while waiting, it is not surprising to see these kind of simple-minded comments.
I've been to the Fetal Medicine Centre for my two lovely babies, had some complications but could not get better care. The team was extremely supportive and helped me through this difficult pregnancy. I will definitely recommend this place!

The Sonographer was not empathetic at all. She abruptly told me and my husband that there was no heartbeat at our viability scan.
She didn’t even turn the screen to show me anything at the beginning. All of a sudden the words I’m sorry came out of her mouth.
This was NOT a private service at all.
Will not return to this clinic as you are treated like a number.

The Professor and his team at The Fetal Medicine Centre offered my wife a great service with the extensive scans they provide. We had three scans at the clinic. The doctor provided a report for our NHS consultant. The Professors knowledge in the field is absolutely amazing. If people ever require evidence on his work just read one of his 1600 published papers or watch one of his documentaries. The Professor has truly devoted his life to fetal medicine.

Went here over 3 years ago. Great experience. This time with twins, was awful, apart from 1 or 2 reat staff, rest seem just horrid!! Went for harmony test. Sonographer talked to the screen, i had to keep saying asking her what she was saying as it was mumbling. Then I asked her if i had any heamatomas as previous scans ad shown i did have. She didn't mention it which I thought was odd. She said "no I didn't see any". Then Off to a blood test. She was lovely. It took 10 minutes as we were chatting. I got up, massive gush of blood!!!! My husband told receptionists, who he sad was kind. Took us into a scan room and another sonographer scanned me. She said your babies seem fine, but you could be miscarrying! We were bemused. I'd only just been scanned 10 minutes ago with no heamatoma, where was blood coming from??? They called in my original sonographer who looked contrite and said "i can see a 9mm heamotoma and bleeding in placenta"!!!! They called me an ambulance. The manager, a male, was amazing; he got me a blanket and called us a taxi as ambulance was a 4hour wait. He was ever so sympathetic and lovely. The sonographer started changing my notes to make it appear as though she had seen my heamatoma in first scan which we thought was cheeky.
No one has explained to me why she got that wrong- how can I have no heamatoma and then all of a sudden 10mins later have bleeding in the placenta and a 9mm heamatoma???? Hmmmm....it was clear she was either incompetent or had rushed my twin scan.
Anyway, this story ends well, a&e consultant at UCL hospital checked me over, "no bleeding in placenta and heamatoma must have bled out, both babies look beautiful"
Phew!!!! So, how can I can have bleeding on placenta according to FMC!!???
The FMC did not hound us for payment, which was good of them. I even got a phonecall from the manager to ask me how im doing, lovely . I had to go back 2 weeks later for results of harmony and another scan. As you an imagine I was taking things real slow and had to ring FMC that we were running 10 mins late. Woman on phone said it was fine. Hubby went ahead and booked us in, but said the receptionist was horrid. We got seen by a very cold sonographer , who bounced my tummy to get baby to move!!! It hurt. No permission asked!!! Or apology.
Have to say, this place has changed from 3 yrs ago, I'd say 3 of the sonographers I met this time were rude, incompetent and unfriendly. Only saving grace is a lady who takes blood, manager and hit and miss with reception!!!! Shame

When on the 12 week scan I was told that my baby was high risk for Down syndrome the first choice was Harmony test. I was suggested the Fetal Medicine Centre for it. When I visited the webpage and saw the reviews I was a bit concerned that some people weren’t statisfied with this clinic, but I can only say that my experience in this clinic it was one of the kind. Very nice and lovely staff. Everyone was so kind and gentle with me. I did the Harmony test and I was more than happy to find out that my baby is low risk for the three of trisomies and that is a baby girl. Also the results came back earlier than I expected. Thank you to everyone at Fetal Medicine Centre.

It was super easy to book with the receptionist the appointments and she answered to all my questions !

This was the worst experience of my life. I went for the initial Harmony Test appointment to give blood and didn’t realise that at that time I would have a scan too so didn’t bring my husband. The sonographer offered a scan and I thought ‘why not’. When she did the belly scan and couldn’t see anything, she did an internal scan - I was starting to feel anxious at this point. When it was clear that there was no heartbeat and the baby was grossly undersized, the lady turned the screen to me and pointed to something the size of a grain of rice and said ‘that’s your baby’. She just didn’t get it - that my heart was broken and my baby dead. I was crying and she gave me a box of tissues and walked out of the room. I was then ‘transferred’ to a windowless vault to cry by myself - to say that there was no empathy would be a gross understatement. At my call, my husband arrived soon after and the receptionist said I’d already left when I hadn’t. He said I must be here so they came to look for me, forgotten in my vault. When he was finally brought to me, we left together, but not before the receptionist had rudely asked for the £100 owed. In comparison to the warmth and sympathy I’ve experienced since at the NHS, this was a cold, heartless, sterile place. I’m sure if people have good news there, they would think it’s great. But given the high chance of bad news, don’t risk it and go somewhere where the people who work there care about you and your baby.

My ultrasonographer, Nobu, had an amazing bed-side manner and furnished me with finer details, in simple to understand terms, which hasn’t been available at medical reviews elsewhere.
Professor Nicolaides was affable, kind and clear in his reassurances and relaying vital information. Extremely approachable and easy to understand, despite his senior status as a world-wide leader in this field.
This has been the most positive experience in both my pregnancies to date and objectively, as an NHS teaching hospital consultant of twelve years, I can affirm that the clinical care and expertise delivered is nothing short of gold-standard we all aspire to. This clinic would be my first recommendation to friends, family and colleagues requiring medical input in pregnancy. A thoroughly deserved 5 stars.

I went there for the package (including viability scan, harmony test and nuchal scan). The viability scan experience was positive. When I did Nuchal scan, Dr G Leipold couldn't get the scan done initially because of the position of the baby. We understand baby's position can affect the nuchal scan. However, what we didn't like is he tapped my tummy using ultrasound probe without telling us in advance. When asked, he said he was trying to get the baby moving. I am not sure if it hurts my little baby. We thought that was a horrible way of getting my baby moving. Those tapping proved ineffective too and didn't make the baby move. We were horrified. Apart from that, our experiences for the harmony test and viability scan were fine.
