Always love going here whenever I'm in Brighton, it's great just to look around for any musician. They have such an extensive range of equipment, if I was a rich man, I would spend so much money in here! Staff are amazing too, very friendly and helpful!

Amazingly large selection of pro audio equipment that you can actually try out on the spot. The staff knows their stuff and is really enthusiastic about playing and producing music. They're very good in helping you narrow down your options when you have potentially different products that fit your needs.

Always great service at GAK. I have bought two PA systems, a couple of guitars, a busking amp and numerous leads and strings etc from them, and always find the service to be comprehensive! Recently bought a pa system which stopped working after one gig due to some fault in one of the speakers, I emailed them, and a replacement was arranged the following day. They also offered a hire for the same day as I had a gig and it was a Sunday so they wouldn't have been able to replace my speaker thst day. Great service as I said, very prompt. It's always when things go wrong that you find out what a company is really like..... You can rely on Guitar amp and keyboard centre!

Ive been buying pro audio for 30 years. I am now a regular client of GAK in Brighton. All I can say is it is a pretty bold claim to be the best in the UK, but from my experience I can say it's almost certainly true.
Their pro audio guys are REALLY into what they do. They are not box shifters but music enthusiasts who have had my interests at heart. A sure bet. 10/10

I want to update my previous reviews, as after telling them the exact same thing (especially: "why didn't you try to talk to me before cancelling the order and forcing me to wait 7 days for the refund to arrive?) I got contacted by one of the Customer Service managers. He offered me a substitute item (more expensive than the original, but without the specifications I wanted) or a discount on the original one if I was willing to wait. I didn't proceed as the wait was estimated to be over one week while (he explained to me) by providing the fax number of my branch I could have the refund much faster.
He has been great to the point that I still remember his name (Alex Hill) and I will consider shopping at GAK again in the future (although I would call to check if the item is really in stock first).

It's good - I mean what else do you want me to say?!
You want to hear about the 30-40 keybaords and synths laid out ready for you to play with, of the speakers that go so loud my nan needed a hip replacement due to the bass responce. It's like Charlie and the chocolate factory only it's electronic items and a bit stuffy due to the heat and fans

One of the top UK music retailers. If in Brighton you should have a look. Not much second hand but oodles of current toys.
If you don't rely on the staff for psychoanalysis they will help you with music products just fine. Praise to: Dan, Chris, Charlie, Nathan, Denis, Mike and Jamie (not all men although it sounds that way!)
The people in the shop are way more charming than the managers you see in their YouTube videos. Please let Mike do bass vids and let Dan go to NAMM instead.

Absolutely fantastic, cant thank the young lady enough that sorted our laptop/software audio equipment out, she wouldn't give up till she had solved the problem, if I could give 10 stars I would, I would recommend this shop in a heartbeat to everyone, for everything from instruments to dj setups, A* service/aftercare service which is rare nowadays

This shop is a diamond, they have all the latest music equipment and will often price match any other company. The staff are all knowledgeable and help guide you to ensure the purchase you make has the features you need to make the sound you want in the environment you choose to play it. If I need to make a music related purchase I always go here first.

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, fair prices and good stock availability; even if they don't have 'it' in stock they order it from the warehouse with minimal delay. I can't find fault with GAK! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my drumming needs.

Agree with above review. THE rudest staff member upstairs int the acoustic section. I have know been 4 times to buy a guitar (not cheap ones) and 4 times i have left due to the arrogance. That's 4 guitars not bought from GAK and bought somewhere else. It's a shame.

Emailed for a price match on a sound card. Was emailed back really quickly, with a better price. Called at 3pm, got through straight away and sound card was delivered before 10am the next day! Very good!

Bought an item from GAK earlier this year. Service was really good. Recently the item developed a fault during a gig and I was concerned at the possible turnaround time involving the manufacturer. But GAK organised a fast replacement which, as a busy musician, I was very grateful for! And they covered the cost of the couriers (not any 'ol cheap courier service - FedEx!) I got the feeling they bent over backwards to help. Awesome, can't recommend them enough!

I found the ladies & gents at GAK to be very relaxed, friendly and helpful. GAK honoured their advertising by price matching Shure in-ear-monitors against a different official UK Shure stockist and happily gave me a great deal on a great product. I'm very happy to have bought from a local business, to have had a pleasant experience and to have been offered a deal that puts tax dodging giant internet retailers and dubious grey importers to shame. I would definitely recommend this shop.
