I used Toppers recently to complete a ground floor extension at my property and couldn't be happier with the end product. The project finished on schedule and within budget. The extra work I asked for was priced and carried out within the same timescale and without any issues. They guys on site were friendly and polite.

Toppers: the incomplete builders I employed Toppers Autumn'15 to build my new kitchen diner (single storey rear extension) at my home in South London. As part of the works they demolished the old kitchen diner, built the new shell, glazed & insulated it, fitted the underfloor heating and installed my new kitchen. The Toppers team, led by Charlie Clark, are a team of competent and skilled tradesmen. I was onsite during the works and I enjoyed getting to know the team, observing their work and learning some new DIY skills along the way. Although Toppers overshot their own completion date by 3 weeks with no good reason, the project took 14 weeks, which I was very happy with. Thanks to some great weather and me been onsite daily, the team were able to work pretty much continuously and together we drove the project on. As we neared the completion date I started a snagging list and shared it with Toppers, which I updated regularly. This enabled Charlie to keep a good overview and to send the best people to get the jobs done. The list included issues like watermarks on the new ceiling, standing water on the skylight, underfloor heating not working properly and damage done to the new bifold doors during the works (see pics). For me and most others, these are serious issues that I want remedied asap. After 14 weeks no meaningful action was been on any of the issues! There was no desire or commitment from Toppers, they appeared to ignore the issues, probably because they’re expensive to fix or they’re too busy on other jobs. In the end, I took them to court and the judge found in my favour.

The guys at Toppers have just completed a loft extension for me and my husband and I am really happy with the whole experience and finished project. They were responsive and helpful from the start, communicative throughout and gave us a great new loft bedroom and bathroom which was really needed.

The guys at Toppers recently completed a loft extension for us and I was very impressed with the whole process from beginning to end. I found them very accommodating from the start and their price was very competitive. They completed the project without any issues and nothing seemed too much effort. My wife and I are very happy with the finished project and have already recommended them to a friend and would to others.

I used Toppers to carry out a refurbishment of our property last year and I couldn't of been happier with the service I received. They were thorough and helpful right from the beginning and remained that way right the way through the project. Nothing seemed to be too much hassle, even when we changed our minds and altered the drawings during the project. I am over the moon with the finish and would highly recommend this company again.

Toppers built my extension on inadequate foundations using structural engineers and approved inspectors who did not carry out the relevant site inspections as a result of which the Final Certificate issued by the latter has been rejected by the Local Authority leaving me with a massive bill for underpinning. I would suggest you avoid this company at all costs.

Can not recommend at all. Always late on schedule quality is very low compare with price, problems with payments for subcontractors(he didn't pay them) I'm so disappointed about this company, I will never go for it again, cause more trouble than its worth ...Charlie seems to be nice person at the beginning but then he shows his real face.
