Uden Estate Agents

Our experience with Uden was a disaster from start to finish. The staff are friendly but the business is completely disorganised. They ‘forgot’ our viewing appointment and left us waiting outside. When we moved in to the flat they gave us the wrong keys so we couldn’t get into the property. The flat was let in a disgusting, run-down state, with old rubbish left in the flat, meaning our first weekend in our new home was spent having to scrub other people’s filth from the bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen cupboards were warped and chipped, tiles were loose and needed to be grouted, the washing machine wasn’t working properly, and a ground floor window frame was broken and stuffed with toilet paper to keep the draft out. The guy doing the inventory warned us before we went it that it was one of the worst states he’d seen a flat let in. The most serious issue was shorting electricity sockets in the bedroom, due to a significant damp problem that had been concealed by being painted over. Shortly after moving in the paint started bubbling and growing mould. A couple of weeks into the tenancy scaffolding appeared at the front of the house with no warning, with roofers leaving bags of rubble and and their KFC wrappers and bones all over the front garden. It remained there for months despite numerous calls and emails to Uden. With every problem it took multiple phone calls, emails, handyman visits and months before anything was fixed, including a seven month wait for a new toilet seat. It’s not the fault of the people that work there - it’s the Management not caring about tenants. They just want to make easy money off the landlords, doing zero work to maintain properties at minimal expense. Tenants beware; landlords, avoid.

I cannot express enough how fantastic this estate agents is! My partner and I have dealt with a few Estate Agents in our time and I have even worked for one and I have to say that Uden is the most down to earth, honest, respectful, acknowledgable and caring Estate Agent and it's great to have an Estate Agent that you can get along with! We recently moved house but we will be coming back as soon as we move again!! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Super pleased with their services! Thank you Uden! 5*****

My partner and I had a tenancy with Uden for two and a half years. We could not have asked for more professional, nicer and helpful people. Specially Paula and Millie, they are excellent! They always responded quickly and professionally to any issue we had. I can’t recommend Uden enough. You’re in safe hands!

I strongly recommend Uden Estate Agents. Out of the four different agencies in Brighton that I dealt with, Uden was definitely the best one. I stayed with them for two years, and during this time, they were very reactive to any issue I had with my flat, and all in all very lovely people. Five stars!

My partner and I had a tenancy with Uden for nearly 5 years. We could not have asked for nicer, more helpful people which is especially rare in the rental market and in Brighton! Paula and Abbie are excellent and so helpful. Despite a few issues with the property, they always responded quickly and professionally. The only thing I would improve on would be weekend telephone cover for emergency issues. Otherwise you're in safe hands!

Really nice people that make you feel at ease when moving can be stressful. Nick is really nice and genuine and unlike some Estate Agencies, Uden didn't make me feel like irrelevant human fodder. Very quick referencing and checks, down to earth & fair charges and quickily resolved a problem for me over Xmas. Thanks guys. Antony

Really helpful and great people! We really got great service for the whole time I was a tenant renting a property under their management. When ever we needed help we always got a nice email respons back quickly and things got done. I can highly recommend Uden lets in Brighton area!

Everybody at udens has been so helpful and patient. Really lovely agency. Quite a small place but they all seem to get along with each other really well which creates a nice atmosphere and they seem happy to help each other out even though I'm only renting and it should be only one of the agents that deals with me and the property. They actually pass on messages when you ask them too to! Really genuine group of people. Can't believe they're estate agents!

Uden's are the best Estate Agents I've used. I was a tenant renting a property under their management. They helped with all my requests, promptly and with humanity/kindness. They are real people who understand what life is like! None of this 'computer says no' nonsense I've had in the past with other agents.

Just moved into a new flat with Uden Lets and they have been fantastic. There were a couple of minor niggles with the flat which weren't on the inventory, but were small enough i wouldnt have expected to have been realised without actually living in the property. We advised Udens in order to update the inventory and Udens arranged for these niggles to be rectified ASAP. These guys clearly take pride in their business and I certainly recommend.

Had been living in a property managed by Uden for the last two years. Communication was always prompt and requests tended to. Any delays or inconsistencies could be mostly attributed down to the landlord I suppose, as is the most common problem usually. All in all, nice people and eager to help. Nothing to fear if you chose to go with them.

Great people, friendly and very supportive. Any problem wich I had, was sorted really quick. I'd been renting with them for 5 yeard and they had never let me down. Really can't give 5 at the moment, lot of paper work to go, still working on getting my rental property with Uden. Lot of stuff to do with guarantor before I get sign off for the property.

I had a door bell not working and asked for 2 years to have it fixed and no one did anything. Also had things disappear from my flat like my hard drive and now discovered my certificates have gone since i moved. I had a rotted window and no one fixed it for me either.
