I rarely write reviews online because I have worked in the restaurant industry for the majority of my life and I know how damaging they can be. But for such a highly sought after restaurant with raving reviews, we simply do not want patrons to be let down the way we were. We also had the fixed menu, we were so excited. Perhaps one of the courses was edible.. And this is so rare for us. Only one of the courses was warm, which is not the way to do it, and it was primarily burnt. I believe some of the courses were just trying too hard. Mackerel is a beautiful fish that does not need to be served raw with beet kombucha... It was not well executed guys ? Our wine pairings were nothing to write home about and a wine paring should always be exciting. They MADE us keep our cutlery for each course, which is just not professional for a restaurant of this caliber... The service was lack lustre... Really really disappointed. Sorry guys, a real miss.

One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had. A little gem, a little bijou. The deconstructed lemon tart with *tarragon* (!!!) was out of this world. But every savoury dish made us travel to new flavours and fusions.

This small bistro is one of the great examples showing how French chefs could integrate Chinese and Japanese ingredients and techniques into French cuisine! It has done a much better job than Yum T’cha at Paris. The small dishes sampling dim sum from Chinese cuisine are very tasty and appetising, successfully make use of rather special Asian seasoning. A great place to go for casual dining! Services and vibe are good too.

Excellent fusion with Asian cuisine if you want to try something different in this gourmet city of Lyon. We tried all of their seven bijoux available on that day. Their rice with nori is a must. The pictures here can’t do it enough justice.

A thoroughly unpleasant experience. We had the tasting menu, at €45, of which one course out of five was palatable. Most of the others were sent back, not that the staff noticed, because we had three different waiters. The meal was accompanied by techno music, traffic noise and graffiti on the walls, marginally more palatable than the art inside. I was asked to keep a spoon after a fish course (deep fried prawn shells anybody?) and when I declined, the waiter insisted. At that point, for me, the meal was over.

Booking here is a joke - wouldn’t take my reservation over the phone because they want a 50 euro deposit. But I’m told there is availability so I should book online for 7.30 the next day. so I book online immediately for 7.30 the next day and pay my deposit. Then my reservation is later cancelled despite the website showing availability. Solo travellers don’t waste your time. If you are 2 or more people so you are bringing in more income then it maybe ok, but who knows.

Delicious and modernised asian food at a hip district. The pricing was quite ok for lunch menu for a starter and main course. I added a desert just to try but actually it wasn't as good as it looked. I'd go there again. Reservation required.

Great restaurant, with excellent food in 7 courses, small portions but more than enough for me. Especially the desserts were little gems. Best secret was the bill, price / quality was exceptionally good! Also the 4 people working need a special positive for their attitude and friendliness.

My co-worker and I just ate here and it was amazing! We went to Paul Bocuse and PRaiRial, and we thought this experience was better. We got to sit at the counter and talk to the chefs and also watch them make all the food. The starter of tomatoes and basal kombucha was so good. The veal dish and the roasted jalapeño pepper was great as well! The three courses of dessert was well thought out and made me want more. In fact, I thought the dessert was much better than at Paul Bocuse. After we thought it was all done, we got some extra desserts! It was just the right amount of food, where at Paul Bocuse I wanted to stop eating midway to save room for others. In this case, I feel less and more thought out meals were more! I definitely recommend this as a must in Lyon.

Must try in Lyon. Especially if you are adventurous about food. You should book well advance to get there for dinner. These guys are doing magic in small kitchen. I rarely tried such inventive cuisine. There is only one option- testing menu and it is absolutely worth it. They have some really good natural wine in wine card.

Great value tasting menu for dinner (57euro/person). This is a small restaurant and the service is good, but casual. The food is interesting, and inventive, but could be refined slightly. You are not going to a Michelin starred restaurant, but the kitchen has real chops and they deliver real quality. I'll be back.

We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and thought the dinner was very original and delicious. We are from Chicago and love trying adventurous restaurants. Our savory courses were balanced, thoughtful and interesting and were worth 5 stars alone. Ingredients were fresh, well paired and very inventive. The dessert courses fell down a bit; while creative and unique they were slightly less balanced than the other courses. To be fair, we came on a Tuesday before the restaurant closed for the month on Saturday. The food is overall worth the visit and a great value and atmosphere.

Nice & tasty fusion cuisine in Japanese (or tapas) way of serving. A simple cozy restaurant with limited seatings, prior table reservation would be a wise move Will go back there again to try out other suggestions with photos in mind for the next update ????

Will definitely go again!! Food is excellent and so is the atmosphere. It is obvious that the people working there know what they are doing and are professionals. It is worth the money (hope it won’t get more expensive in the future). The deserts were the best part. Follow their advice for the choice of wine! Nice place in the gastronomic capital.

The chef whipped up one of the most creative and delicious meals I've had in my entire life. And he made it vegan, no less! Better than meals I've had at NYC Michelin star restaurants. Incredible! Will definitely become a regular here. Great vibe, great service, and great music too.

There is only one thing to say about the folks from the restaurant and the experience they create without being pretentious: Out of this world. It's simply one of the best (well executed, thoughtful, informal, enjoyabale, relaxed atmosphere, and designed) dining experiences you can have between New York, Montreal and Lyon. Now is the time to believe there is God. ❤️????

Nice place. A bit expensive, for what the offer. The menu today was asian inspired and almost everything we ordered had ginger in it (they did not specified that) and it was spicy. I ate the natur rice and that was about it. The thing that was strange is that they charged 2 euros for each bottle of water (we had 2), but in France they offer tap water for free and they tell you everytime it is not tap so you know you have to pay for it. It is not a big deal, but it would have been nice to let us know, especially that we didn't need the seccond one. Anyway... it was fine, but i've had waaay better. :)

A wonderful gem to check out if you are in the gastronomic capital of the world. Food: Two words: Absolutely incredible. I had a wonderful opportunity to dine by the bar and see all the creative magic happen right in front of me. The head chef and owner of the restaurant Arnaud Laverdin, is young, ambitious, and visionary with his cooking. Laverdin and his talented team of chefs honour traditional French gastronomic techniques combined with flavours from across East Asia leaving an unforgettable medley on one's tastebuds. Every dish was presented beautifully with detail and precision (e.g. from every seed on the plate). The dinner service is served based on a 10 course chef's tasting menu designed in advance (the restaurant caters towards dietary restrictions - e.g. offers a personalized vegetarian and vegan menu - which is what I had). If you are familiar with the food scene in Lyon, you'd understand how difficult is could be to find a gastronomic vegan friendly restaurant. Moreover, the menu prides itself on using fresh and mostly ingredients. Every dish was very satisfying (to the eyes and appetite); served with the perfect balance of flavours and great use of texture. The restaurant also features a great selection of wines with a sommelier to help you with wine and food pairings. Ambiance: Small but comfortable and cozy - reservations in advance is recommended due to the limited seating (bar seating available and good for dining alone and for small groups). Great design - features work from local artists. Service: Excellent - attentive, professional, knowledgable, and friendly. Had the pleasure of speaking to Laverdin throughout my meal. Value: Great for the gastronomic experience and worth it - 10 course dinner +wine ~45-50 euros per person. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this place and I will definitely be going back for some more!
