I came to MTS six months ago as a very unconfident 'novice' (having completed my CBT 18 months before and not having been on a motorbike since! A few months later (and with a pandemic in-between) I
have completed by DAS training and passed Mod 1 and Mod 2 on the first go! The whole team are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and their support will enable you to become a safe and competent rider, ready to take on the roads on your own. (They are also great fun!) As some of the other reviewers have said, the training goes above and beyond the test - as instructor Rick said, passing the test is a bi-product of becoming a competent rider.
My DAS training was unfortunately delayed due to COVID-19 but MTS were so helpful and communicative throughout the process (thanks Nikki!), and took into account my timings and preferences to rearrange the training. I would recommend this training to anyone new to motorcycling -- and especially to any women riders. Thank you MTS Team - and especially to Rick, Ian and Max for all your support and helping me overcome my self-doubt!

Had a great day of training, instructed by Jason. I found the day to be the perfect balance of tuition and practice, and always felt that my safety was the primary concern rather than a schedule, despite there being so much to get through.
The bikes were well maintained and the provide kit was clean and a good fit.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to do CBT or further rider training.

Came to MTS a couple of months ago as a complete novice to do my CBT and this week returned for a DAS course, today passed my Mod 1&2! Very clear and unfussy training from Max, just remember to remind him if he repeats the same story numerous times!

I gave 3 days notice that I could not make appointment due to covid, and I just wanted to reschedule. MTS have taken my money and advised me to 're Book and pay again. Absolutely shocking customer service, I will not be 'recommending them or using them for my full licence.

These guys know their stuff. My experience was positive, enjoyable and informative. The school is professionally run with quality bikes and equipment. Both Ian and Rik have a wealth of knowledge based on riding bikes for 20+ years and enjoy sharing their expertise. Listen to what they say, go along with the plan and get the result. Definitely recommend.

I highly recommend MTS for anyone looking to do their DAS. Rick was an amazing instructor and did a great job of not only helping me pass Mod 1 and 2 but also of building my confidence as a rider. He knew when to push me, when to give me a break and when to let me think it through and sort my head out. He also had lots of useful insights and advice on all things bike related. A great school and a fantastic instructor. Highly recommended. Cheers for a great 4 days.

Did my CBT with MTS, it was a no brainer to do my DAS with them too, Max was absolutely brilliant and knowledgeable he really took his time to make sure we we understood everything and I had an absolute blast. Matt, Nicki and the team were great throughout, especially with the constant communication to let everyone know what’s happening with tests etc due to Covid.
Would highly recommend MTS, all of the instructors are awesome.

Completed my CBT course today with Jason & Max. Great Instructors with a fab attitude and both very personable. Very much looking forward to moving on to the 'Big Bikes' and completing further training to work towards completing the full license.
Furthermore, the way that they both dealt with a new rider who was not ready for the CBT was very impressive. Ensuring that nobody was put in any form of danger.

Couldn’t recommend MTS enough! Great experience right from the start, with Nikki happily answering all my questions and making the booking process so easy, to Holland for the excellent easy-going approach and advice on my CBT to Rick who did not let the side down. Rick made me feel very comfortable, really nice guy and great tips for riding safely and confidently. If it wasn’t for the team, I don’t think I would’ve passed my A2 first time round. So hats off and if you’re thinking about booking with MTS, do it, you will not regret it. See you in summer for my full DAS guys!

Brilliant team who provide an excellent service all round from the admin side to the instructors themselves.
Max was brilliant in helping me go from a rider with no experience to passing all modules within the DAS course. He took time to explain what I needed to focus on more and most of all made the whole thing enjoyable.

Just completed the DAS course with MTS Sussex. It was a great experience - our instructor Rick (Sat Nav) got us through the course with first time passes. The bikes were great and well maintained. The pace of instruction was spot on and Rick took plenty of time tailoring the course to our needs and helping us focus on areas we wanted to spend more time on/gain more experience with. Having access to the DVSA test centre to practice the MOD 1 was also very helpful.

Fantastic experience and beautiful area to ride. I really enjoyed my whole time at MTS Sussex, all staff are friendly, relaxed and their customer service (mostly Nikki) is great, quick and helpful. I was quite nervous on my first day but instructor Ric was able to calm down my nerves and my ‘panic’ was forgotten after a minute on the road with their lowered MT07. I’m convinced that Ric’s humourful encouraging way of teaching, his 1:1 instructions as well as repeating some traffic rules (roundabouts!) helped me a lot to pass both DAS modules. (To be fair, the examiners at Burges Hill test centre were really nice and professional, too.) Since I live roughly 80 miles away, I went there by train every day and took either a taxi from the station or got kindly a lift by one of the other students. And I’m glad I could get away without having a photo taken of me for their website. ;) Thank you all very much!

Started from basically zero experience did CBT and DAS course all in a row - 4 days worth of training and passed everything first time with only 1 minor - that's not credit to me as a rider but to MTS for the outstanding training they provide. The instruction is relaxed and incredibly informative and all the instructors are truly great at what they do. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending MTS to anyone looking to get into biking or for bikers looking for advanced training. Thanks so much Max, Nick, Matt and Nikki!

I Turned 24 a week ago and was waiting to do my full test. Decided to do it with MTS as had heard good things from others that recommend them. I did a 3 day course over Saturday, Sunday and Monday with Max and Ian, I could not recommend them enough. They broke everything down so I could understand everything clearly and really helped with my confidence on the roads. They are always happy to answer all my questions no matter how many I asked. All the staff are very friendly and a great bunch of guys I would concider friends now. I passed my Mod 1 and 2 first time today (8/4/19) with no minors on either test, this just shows the quality of teaching they provide! If your thinking of doing your test go for it with these guys, you wont find a better riding school!

I done my das 3 day training with mts and was trained by max and Ian. They are great guys, really easy to get along with and I felt very welcome the whole time. They where very helpful with any questions I had about my test and the quality of my training was very professional. I passed on the 3rd day.

Everyone was extremely welcoming and a good laugh at MTS Hassocks. Passed my DAS first time today with Ric as my instructor. Have already recommended MTS to a friend and would to anyone else looking to do their DAS. Ric gave amazing and enjoyable training with great advice as well as being a really nice guy. A pleasure to be taught by. Will undoubtedly have, "the soothing tones of RicFM" in the back of my head when I'm riding from now on. Will be going back to do an advanced course once I buy my bike. Cant recommend them enough, fantastic all round! Defiantly the No1 choice for you motorcycle training in Sussex, I would use them again if I hadn't passed my tests! They kept me relaxed and comfortable, and helped coach me through all the aspects of safe riding and passing with DVSA

Did a mod2 re-test with MTS Sussex today (and passed!) and was really really impressed with them.
Matt's son Max took us out for a couple of hours before my test and was really positive. They don't make you feel bad for making any mistakes and any criticism is made positive, so you never get hung up on your mistakes and you feel a lot more confident - I wish I had done my initial training with these guys!
I would definitely recommend MTS to anyone looking to do a full motorbike course and definitely to anyone who wants a relaxed, positive experience.

I've just completed MTS's Back to Biking training day. It was great. I have a full licence but have not ridden a motorbike for 25 years (my 48th birthday is next week). I've been thinking of getting a motorbike again for my commute to work and thought it best to do a refresher course. I was nervous and excited. Matt's tuition was everything I needed: calm, confident and instructive. We covered bike handling, road positioning, traffic awareness, turns, filtering and rode on A and B roads, duel carriage ways, and in and around the local towns. All the things and conditions I'll need to handle in my commute. Matt was quick to pick up on my mistakes but his comments were always constructive and positive. I now feel confident to take next step and buy a bike and get on the road. As well as the tuition we also managed a lunch break at a classic 'greasy spoon' and a stop off at the Triumph dealership at Washington to admire the beautiful metallic beasts on show. All in all a great day! Thank you!

I Did a 4 day das course. 1st Saturday was my CBT with Ian and Older Max then the following weekend I had 2 days training and my das on the Monday with young Max. The training was second to none with a friendly professional approach and would highly recommend the MTS. Thanks guys for getting me through my tests and I really enjoyed my time training with you.

I started training my DAS with MTS. I failed my MOD 2 with them twice.
To be fair, they are fun and friendly. But I got a feeling that they did not give me a proper training, for example they did not explain me very well about how to use brake, how to take the roundabout etc…I have just followed them and copied what I’ve seen from them. I strongly suggested MTS to use the whiteboard to explain for novice and inexperienced biker like me about how to use the front brake, rear break and about the roundabout procedure. You just need to spend 2 hours on the whiteboard and the student will have a very clear understanding on how to use the motorcycle. In addition, I strongly recommend MTS should spend our training time to address the students’ issues and quickly fix it rather than chatting around non-related things.
To be honest, at the end of the day I failed because of my fault but I was very disappointed because the following things
First of all, on my MOD2 first attempt, they changed the teacher at the last minute without notice. He has just few hours before my test so how the new teacher can understand my weakness and fix it in few hours. Very disappointing.
Secondly, on my second attempt, unfortunately, they booked the test for me at around 8:25 am and I had only 30 minutes riding on the bike. You can imagine it was so difficult for me, especially I failed once and started riding in a very cold weather. Sadly, after my failing, they suggested me to spend more time with them before next attempt. Why they did not tell me beforehand. I strongly recommend MTS should offer the student extra training before re-take the exam. I think it is better to have 3-4 hours riding on the bike in the morning and take the test in the afternoon. I strongly believe that if you are a good teacher then you can evaluate your student’s abilities as well as their skills, therefore, you can offer them the best choice to help them pass the test.
After twice failing on MOD2, I decided to leave MTS and go with another training centre.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a CBT and a four day DAS course with MTS having no previous motorcycle experience.
From start to finish the instruction has been friendly and of an A class standard from the instructors (I had Graham and Matt) which led to a friend and I both passing our MOD1&2 first time with very good pass marks.
Our pass marks are a true representation of the teams expert tuition and their friendly supportive manner.
All the team at MTS are very passionate about their role as instructors and really care about getting their students through their tests and reaching their goals.
I will most certainly be returning to MTS in the future to carry out some further training to brush up on the skills they have given me. Highly recommended.
