I visited at breakfast and ordered pancakes and they were amazing. I love the menu and the beautiful meal presentation. They serve burgers but at lunchtime i think. It’s in the city centre in Newcastle. Try the English breakfast as well. It’s lush.

If you want something incredibly sugary this is the place to go. They have a great selection of fancy looking alternative drinks and their pancakes are lovely although hard to finish by yourself. It's the perfect brunch spot. I thought it was great that with the breakfast they offered extra hash browns if you didn't want an item which was nice not to have to ask. I like that you can now book a table as queues used to be big.

One of my go to places for nearly everything. Brunch menu is packed with sweet pancakes and brilliant savoury options like full English. You might think things are rather pricey but once you see the food all reservations go out the window, HUGE portions but is still presented beautifully nothing is too overwhelming. Evening menu is just as good, if not better with lots of options at fair prices for the huge portions. Service has always been impeccable with the nicest servers I've ever come across. Definitely go here.

Lovely food. We were a group of 11 and we picked a different item for each person from the menu. I must say that each item was tasty and very authentic. A must go to place if you are in the area.

Lovely eatery with a unique theme and very appealing menu. From loaded fries, to waffles with chicken to fluffy pancakes ????. A light feel of an American diner mixed with a hipster, local, modern feel. The service was very fast and friendly and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended checking this place out for a brunch, lunch or an afternoon date for a special hot chocolate! ☕

For the best pancakes ever! The dispensary has a wide range on their menu any thing from pancakes and a vegan selection. Had a great experience and will be returning, also found the dispensary are very accommodating if you want any changes to your meal!

It was fairly quiet inside. But still took 30 mins from ordering breakfast until it arriving. Ordered sourdough toast (sourdough, two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, and a topping of choice) It might have been nice.... if it wasn't drowned in Sauce. Sourdough toast was soggy. Really soggy. Completely ruined. And couldnt taste anything else because of the strength of sauce. Less would have been more in this salutation. Better would be for sauce to be served in seperate pot. Both really ruined the breakfast experience, sorry to say.

The food here is GODLY. I have never eaten better pancakes in my life. I honestly cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. I will also mention that they do not take bookings for less than six people.

I've been waiting forever to come here and finally managed to on my birthday!! We came for breakfast and was not disappointed. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. We will be back to try more of the menu out

Friendly welcome on arrival. Decor is eclectic and fresh. Food was excellent value, very tasty. You can have a coffee with cake or do as we did and go for the full breakfast. Pink tea as delicious -the Americano was lovely and not bitter. All tastes catered for and not pretentious at all.

Really great, inventive food and drinks with great prices. Had the pancakes which I couldn't finish because they were so filling along with the cotton candy hot chocolate which was super fun and delicious. Highly recommend

I got a candy floss hot chocolate and biscoff french toast. Slightly disappointed that they had no creme eggs left for a creme egg hot chocolate as I love them! However the candyfloss hot chocolate was still intriguing. It tasted delicious, not too sweet so it was easy to drink. I wish the hot chocolate had been a little hotter though as it got cold pretty quick, I assume they make it to a certain temperature as you have to pour the hot chocolate yourself from a beaker like a fun science experiment to melt the candy floss. I arrived at 2pm for my booked table appointment and when my biscoff order came the waitress said they ran out of bread so I had one less bread slice than usual. I was certain I wouldn't finish the whole plate anyways but thought it was a bit strange that they ran out of bread, I assumed french toast would be quite a popular option. I wish they had an option for Nutella or biscoff waffles! Not too sure if I like the idea of chicken and waffles haha. Overall it was a decent experience and I will probably return in the future. It's certainly a place designed to take some good photos for Instagram if you want some!

Unique and reasonably priced spot for brunch in Newcastle. Very hearty portion sizes and most items around £7.50. Pictured is the raspberry pancakes, white chocolate pancakes and the candy floss hot chocolate (though there are plenty of savoury options too!) Recommended.

Believe the hype for your rich food and coffees. Beautifully presented and tastes amazing. However, there is too much on your plate. For the price you pay I think it’s worth the money if there’s just one less of everything. One less bit of french toast, one less pancake and you’d leave satisfied rather than feeling sick.

Food presentation was fab. The fried chicken was a bit oily but enjoyed my experience as a whole. Only downside ist hat they won't give you tap water "because of Corona". Other restaurants do give tap water so I'm not sure what's going on there

The fries were great! We also had the strawberry Nutella pancakes, they tasted more like cakes but yet still delicious. I recommend a breakfast at this place.

I was really disappointed. Went for an evening during 'Eat Out To Help Out' and it seemed like a very reduced menu, I think there were only 3 burger choices. Soft drinks arrived in cans, no glasses, so it wasn't great in this pandemic to be drinking straight from a can. Sounded like other diners were far from impressed too. So really disappointed

Great food and nice atmosphere. Friendly staff too. Would recommend the dirty breakfast fries, was recommended these by the waitress and they didn't disappoint.

Food was nice, but there was way too much! Didn't live up to hype. Pancakes were stodgy, and average in taste. Coffee was great though!

The Dispensary describes itself as a ‘coffee shop’ but it’s much more than that which contributed to the excellent and surprising first visit (on only their second day). We were welcomed in a friendly manner and were given seats on a small table near the window, although squashed, it was fine and we were understanding due to how busy they were. Throughout the waiters and waitresses were accommodating for all customers and regularly asked if their seats were okay and if they’d prefer a move to a different table if available. They were also very kind and friendly to an elderly lady who needed to sit down whilst a table opened up. The service was slower than I’d usually accept however understandable due to the ‘newness’ of the place. We also noted that they were training some members of staff ‘on the job’ in a calm and cool manner which was really nice to see and made us feel even more comfortable. The decor was modern and the finished is polished... in line with their menu, which is experimental yet comforting as it offers unique twists on classics and familiar flavours with their more unique dishes. We opted for their dirty breakfast fries, shakshuka and eggs florentine. All plates were filling enough for a morning breakfast and ticked all the boxes regarding flavours. I’d love to have a ‘sample option’ at The Dispensary... an opportunity to sample all plates on a given menu e.g the breakfast menu, for a set price in order to make a more educated choice next time.. they could all it ‘The pill box’ or ‘The Morning prescription’ to keep up the theme. Everything looks too good to choose between at the moment. I hope with the development around the area and the exciting menu, they continue to grow and stay relevant for all Tynesiders to enjoy for a long time.

Beautiful location. Already been there 2 times. Reasonable price for all the food. Cons: you have to wait outside in the long queue in the windy and rainy weather.

First time visiting this place and will be unlikely to return. The staff were pleasant but the food was cold and tasted like it had been sat for a while before being served to us. The sausages also seemed to be of poor quality which was a shame.

Big portions. Make sure you are hungry, went midweek and mid morning and got seated straight away. Weekends are really busy and you will have to wait.

First experience of this place was ok. Feel like the cafe itself could be bigger as there is always a queue and waiting time. You can’t book for tables less than six either. When I ordered a creme egg hot chocolate it was completely cold as they had put in cold milk instead of hot... however the food was good. I found that the pancakes would be good for sharing as you get a lot of them and they are really filling! Would come back maybe on a weekday instead of a weekend!

Very busy and can be a wait to get a table. Ordered the chicken waffle and hot chocolate. Was a bit of a wait for the food though they do have a notice at the counter stating this. The food was ok but the hot chocolate was anything but hot and was served cold. Waited long enough so didnt ask for another. The candy floss with flask was good for a photo but more novelty than actually enhance the taste.

Staff rude, service very slow. Coffee was awful as the milk was burned. Such a shame as the food was not too bad. Won't be returning now, not very covid safe either.

Faultless! Went here for some breakfast pancakes. Went for about 10am on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy at all. It filled up fairly quickly but that's to be expected. The price for these pancakes are totally justifiable, the drinks are great, the staff are delightful to deal with. All round great experience!

Nice place right next to the USB building and Liberty Plaza so quite convenient if you're a student. The food is great although the pancakes tend to be a bit too sweet, also be aware that it's usually quite busy - especially during lunch hours. Excuse the awful photo quality.

Went here for brunch today. Waited for about 10 minutes to get a table and quite a while for our food, but not long enough that it was an issue. Food was nice and reasonable priced. Had the eggs Benedict with grilled halloumi. As a bread lover, the sourdough it was served on was delicious and made the dish for me. My boyfriend had a standard English breakfast, which was also nice (like any other English breakfast). Worth a visit but look out for when you go, we went on a Monday at about 11:30 and still had to wait a while for a table and the food.

The menu and food was displayed and served in a fun unique way. The coffee is really nice. The chicken and waffles I had were great. It’s very busy however. Line up out the door to get in. When you do get a table they just squeeze you in. The wait for the coffee and food is long. I guess they are just really popular. Happy I went.

Egg Shack or Dispensary whatever yous are?? I got food poisoning after just two bites! 10 minutes later I'm feeling sick. I have no idea what was in that 'Sandwich' but yous cannit cook. Funny thing is it looked appealing but the taste was revolting. Sorry to say but it's the truth and I cannit sort my stomach out. I'm just glad I didn't eat the full thing otherwise I'd be in A&E with severe food poisoning.

The stars are for the food. The service is horrendous. It takes them ages to notice you're there. We finished food and asked for hot chocolate. The table was full with empty plates, so the waitress just tried to squeeze some space for the drink instead of cleaning up the table. We had to ask her to remove the plates to have space!

Went here with my mum for her birthday brunch. Really good food, the english breakfast portion was huge and absolutely delicious. The hot white chocolate was lovely way to end the brunch. Would definitely reccomend this place for a nice casual or formal cafe experience.
