Literally don't understand the bad reviews! Went for the bottomless brunch on Saturday and it was INCREDIBLE. The drinks were brought to us quickly and service was awesome. Loved the open kitchen and watching the chefs work. The food was amazing, way more than I was expecting. Delicious wings, one of the best burgers I've eaten in a while and awesome fries (although far too many!) We'll definitely be back.

I was distinctly unimpressed. So much potential I this restaurant but then let down by the delivery. Hoed among the issues was that the food didn’t come straight off the fire. In particular, if you are serving lamb or goat, any cooling will start to congeal the fats in the meat, leaving them tasting greasy, claggy and unpleasant. This is what the goat was like. Many of the dishes tasted the same - greasy and congealed. The service was pleasant but unremarkable. I won’t be returning.

I loved it, something different. Vey nice food, good customer services. I would defiantly recommend booking your reservation on stool chairs , then you can see open kitchen. Defiantly coming back 10/10

Absolute rip off. It’s rare that I feel this disappointed from a meal. The restaurant was full to the brim and we were a party of six who had one of the booths which was nice enough. Two members of our group ordered two margaritas to start. When they arrived the glass was half empty in both. The first waiter told us that was how they were supposed to look, the second waiter we asked took them away and replaced them. The food was not terrible but it wasn’t great either. Considering the tacos were all around the £10 mark- you would either expect to receive a decent amount or the most delicious canapés you’ve ever eaten. Sadly these were neither- the cheese burger taco was just a dollop of burger meat on a soft taco with some sort of sauce. No zesty slaw or herbs or anything. This became the theme for the rest of the meal unfortunately. The aged beef nachos tasted like an under seasoned Bolognese with kidney beans and a slice of cheese. All the food was extremely heavy with little attention paid to the vegetables or garnish and all felt like something you might cook for your friends on a Thursday night at home. Not a £300 meal from which we all left hungry... The worst point in the meal came towards the end when one of our party decided to order some more food. The waiter told us they had no beef or duck left. This was not true as we then asked for the desert menu and he told us “ok you can have another main dish if you decide to skip desert. Your table is needed back in 20 mins”. The cheek!!! After telling us at the start that it is a tapas style restaurant where you order a few plates at a time and they arrive as they’re ready- to then forcing us out the door by refusing us more food to let the next poor group to arrive at their table of exploitation. The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star was because the Mezcal shot with lime sorbet is genuinely delicious and a brilliant idea. Think twice before booking....

A nice basement restaurant. Great if you fancy a lively venue. We were sat at the bar and it was fun watching the food being prepared. The food was good, but for what you get, it is a bit overpriced.

Spilt red wine all on my camel work jacket. Didn’t offer to dry clean it, had to sort out myself. Had the cheek to try and put service on despite spending to night caked in red wine in the centre of the restaurant like a bunch of clowns.

The only reason I didn't take pics was cause it's dark, but I would have otherwise. My porterhouse was amazing and my husbands fillet was delicious too. The skillet was incredible for dessert. Fantastic service and experience. Loved it! Will be back

All the food we ordered was really well seasoned and cooked. Especially love beef fat tacos! Lovely atmosphere too.

Went on a Sunday afternoon: had tacos to start, which were amazing (we had the cheeseburger and the pork) and creative. The cocktails were another highlight too. Sunday lunch was good rather than great.. felt a bit safe and meant the meat wasn’t the star of the show. The bar seats are snug: not a huge amount of room for a larger guy - and the stools felt a bit like you’re waiting at a bus stop after a while. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful! Service was top form, ambiance great. If you can seat by the open kitchen bar is a fab experience. The food superb even the desserts! Definitely coming back again. Smoked goat taco was to die for!

If you like your red meat, this place is for you. Quite an unassuming entrance (looks like the way into a nightclub of sorts...) leads downstairs to a superb grill restaurant, with tables set around the open fire pit in the middle. You can sit up at the bar there too so as to keep a close eye on the cooking. Temper serves 500g cuts of high-grade beef; salads and sides are good too, usual beer and wine selection - but let’s face it, you’re here for the steaks. Definitely recommend!

Temper is a trendy upmarket establishment with excellent customer service and great food and drinks. The restaurant (and particularly their bar area) is a great go-to place for a classy date night with first-class customer care.

By far my favourite place for dinner in London. The food never fails to hit the mark and the venue has managed to maintain its uniquely brilliant atmosphere even while catering to socially distanced dining. I’ve been returning for years and hope to come back for many for still. Ask for seats at the counter for a front row seat to the action.

I have been here twice. The first time we had food from their classic menu was good and tasty. The second time we had the Sunday roast and the beef was really chewy, but we then ordered other food form the classic menu and it was good. Their wine from is really tasty. The service wad friendly.

Simple and tasty BBQ with a huge clay oven as it's mantlepiece. Please understand patience as this is in Essence a barbie and good tender meat does take time. Worth a visit, make sure to reserve first!

Steak was excellent. Very good service. It was nice to seat by the open kitchen and observe how it was grilled. Ventilation is as it should be, no grilling smell at all in the restaurant. Like for me, there could be a better choice of draft beer. A Bit pricey but worth a try.

Was a great place to eat. Went for a sunday roast. Not the largest portion for the price tbh but tasted great. The waiter we had was brilliant and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Will definitely return again. They seemed adequately spaced for the social distancing etc and the layout did not detract from the atmosphere.

Our handsome waiter, Jonny, was a delight to deal with, very knowledgeable about the dishes and helped us to make good choices. The food was delicious. Looking forward to going back one day.

Was an amazing experience, the service was faultless, everything was explained, the history, the different cuts of meat, how it is cooked, loved every moment and would highly recommend. I was a solo customer and there were no issues with that, they were welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately I didn't get to try dessert as I'd eaten too much of the mains. I did get a doggy bag for the bits I couldn't finish :)

Food was banging and the chef's were awesome. Giving us little treats to try (they even ask if you have any allergies first) and just interacting with customers made the atmosphere electric. Very highly recommended

Temper was great! But PLEASE - really - you don’t need to email through your google app linked to reservations online facility - with several requests for a review! Firstly - we appreciated your service but it’s so abnormal for a restaurant to be so frikken desperate for a review! Chill out guys! And don’t openly hurry your guests out even when 4 people spend £300.00

Basement restaurant with low lighting. Great place for those who like meat cooked by chefs who know how to cook meat. The pig was tender and flavorful -- not too fatty -- and salted perfectly. Sit at the bar to watch the magic happen in the open kitchen.

good, lots of hits : top meat quality and grilling, ambiance, service // misses : parathas are stodgy oily lumps, dry pork tiny tacos, music too harsh for the echo chamber, lychini cocktail wayyy too spicy. slightly prefer Zelman.

Delicious food - I disagree with other reviews saying it's overpriced, I think the price is fair for quality food at a nice restaurant in the middle of Soho. For two people we ordered a rib eye steak and 3 side dishes which was the perfect amount. Unfortunately on Thursday night the service was very slow, our food order was taken 1 hour after we sat down. We didn't mind as we weren't in a rush, but were very hungry by the time the food arrived! Perhaps some of the waiting staff were off sick and it was a one off; our waiter was lovely and friendly but seemed very stressed having a large number of tables to attend to. I'd still come again and would like to try the Sunday roast.

Amazing Spanish tapas style meat dishes. Fave was smoked goat. Excellent and attentive waiters. Had great vibe, was a swanky place with garage and house music on!

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. We were shown to bar tables where I asked politely whether there were normal tables available. Waitress said she'd check but never came back. Then we proceeded to wait for 20 minutes (I counted) before somebody approached to ask what we wanted but failed to explain the menu until I prompted. Food was average but overpriced. When we asked the discretionary service charge to be removed (they didn't deserve it at all), they failed to follow up and ask how they could improve etc. Never coming back and suggest you don't bother either.

Had the Beef Sunday roast and it is a hearty portion, only quibble is that the gravy is a tad salty where I had to use Horseradish to balance it out. The "Fifty shades of Earl Grey" cocktail I really enjoyed as it is Thyme infused Tequila, Pomegranate, Earl Grey tea and Port.

AWESOME! Loved the food!! So tasty! Desert too! Service on point and our chef (I think his name is Martin) was AMAZING! We sat at the counter in front of the kitchen! Perfect spot!

Red Thai beef kebab, roast chicken and Barnsley chop were particularly good. Very full on flavours across the board and could have done with some dishes that cut through better. All in all, very good.

The service is so damn good! But more importantly, so is the food. Highlights was their cheeseburger taco and one of the meat cuts (was it called peceto?). The sides and their cocktails were also on point. We stayed in London for four days, and had to eat dinner here twice. Can be a bit hard to hold a conversation around the table as the music were very loud on our second visit.

This place is great! Fun vibe, fin music, amazing food and amazing service from David (from Hungary). He was such a joy to be served by! He really seems to enjoy his job and made it so much more of a joy to be served by him! His recommendations we on point!!! We had several items but the winners are the goat paratha and the brigedero for dessert. Both are a woow!!!!! The goat will leave you moaning in joy! Highly recommend this place. Do make a reservation as it was packed. We slipped in and was able to snag a seat bc we showed up on the early side, but heard others being turned away later...so make a resy!

EAT HERE! We went for a butchery lesson with Martin who was brilliant.  It was lovely to spend time with someone who is so clearly passionate about meat and where it comes from.  I was a fan of temper before - the food is amazing and it really is some of the best service in London - the staff are great!  But now I know how much care they put into where the meat comes from you can count me as a devotee - I have told everyone I know to go!

The food, the service, the drinks - exceptional as ever. The staff have always been so attentive and the food always amazing - no complacency during quieter times because of COVID. Everything still amazing! Thank you !

Nice vibe but the food quality relative to the price is terrible. Staff were rushed and there was pressure to eat up and go since you only get the table for 1hr45. I wouldn’t rush back.

Lively, buzzy restaurant. Food was good as we're the cocktails. Great place to go with friends and share a bit of everything. Service was friendly and efficient, all the dishes we were unsure of were explained to us. Will definitely head back again

Amazing flavours, great location, no views, but you come here for the food. And the food is superb. Bold smokey flavours. Excellent wines by the carafe. I had an Italian wine which went nicely with the food. Expect to pay £40-60 per head. But it's worth it once. Raclette potatoes are sublime.

I went for a solo Sunday lunch. The reception area is a bit gloomy, but I was led down to a busy buzzy basement by the very pleasant greeter. I had the individual lunch which was Rump of Beef with all the trimmings. It was the best I've had in a long time. With a glass of wine and the very nice service my bill was £31.50. Considering I have had many Sunday lunches that were a few pounds cheaper but not half as good it represents fair value. Next time I will go with some friends so can enjoy the great looking sharing dishes.

I feel the quality of both and srrvice has somewhat gone down everytime I come. Menu selection gets smaller and quality of cooking and/or ingredients slightly gone down?? I hate how we get rushed out when the service is slow! (And how they tell us they cannot serve us our order because we have to vacate our seats.) Nevertheless, the food is still good and still one of my favourite restaurant in London.

Love this place so much! Not a massive menu, but really inventive tacos, well-sourced meat (served in 100g portions) cooked at the giant fire pit in the middle of the restaurant, and interesting wines and mezcals. The cookie dessert is so, so good, but it's hard to restrain yourself with the savoury options first. The bar seating is fun, but quite 'cozy'. Great service.

Was really looking forward to this as been recommended by friends. Arrived and quite a few bits off the menu. Found the steak bland and not worth the £33 at all and had better steaks at lesser known restaurants. The deserts were poor and the banofee styled option they had was just all cream with a touch of toffee sauce and 2 banana slices. Ordered drinks that never came and kept having to chase but still didn’t arrive. Their excuse was because they were busy and found service pretty poor!! Not worth the price tag and felt underwhelmed once left.

Food was ok, but the restaurant is priced as though it's something special. Staff were rushed and it was not a very pleasant service experience. It was dark and acoustics were terrible. Basically, if this is a date, do not go here. It will be rubbish. But if you fancy some overpriced Tacos, give it a go.

Was my favorite restaurant in London.Post Covid something happened and the quality dropped sharply. Today I tried the Sunday roast and it was the worse roast I had in a while. Half of the menu was not available, quality was poor, gravy was like plastic. Even the tacos were full of fat instead of the good quality of meat they used before. Complete disappointment. Unlikely I will come back

Great food but horrendous service took ages to get our drinks and for the price we were paying one would expect plates to be cleared regularly. Photo below shows them stacked on our table for well over 30mine. One waiter bought us drinks and didn’t even take plates away.

Came here to try their Sunday roasts. The goat was good but the rump is a bit too fatty. Their garnish was also on the oily and salty side. Cookie dessert is worth another visit though!

Had a Sunday roast here. Great, social space which felt very COVID secure to boot. The roast is impeccable, easily one of the best in London.

The place just couldn't handle the fact that it was full, which is sad. We waited 25 mins for our mains, around 15 for desserts and after we got the bill another 15 until someone came. We asked while waiting what's going on and got no real answer or an apology for waiting this long for our food. Really poor service. The food was good, fillet was great, the pork dish not as much, everything else was very good. Desserts are great as well. I'd come here maybe for a late lunch when it's not busy and maybe get a 5 star experience, not sure.

One must commend the strict covid measures in this place and which make you feel pretty comfortable to dine and enjoy the food there, proper social distancing,m and face covering by all employees ... nevertheless, food is delicious and happy, excellent friendly and prompt service, flavourful cocktails and great atmosphere
