I recently had my baby at this hospital and couldn’t have asked for better midwives. They’re all absolutely amazing and the breast feeding team are incredible. I loved my experience here and would do it all over again tomorrow. They’re all fabulous

Been there recently for a very sad reason. I lost my baby at almost 30 weeks and all the midwifes I met there were so lovely and caring. They went above and beyond looking after me, my parter and my little one who passed away. I cannot thank them enough. In a very heartbroken circumstance, they were our light. Thank you so much to everyone, my lovely angels <3 from N&F

I was unfortunately at the hospital for reasons I didn’t think would ever happen to me, I had miscarried at 11 weeks pregnant so chose from 3 options given to me and decided to go with theatre management to remove my pregnancy, the staff, doctors, nurses, anaesthetist were all lovely everyone explained the procedure clearly and treated me with the upmost respect when in these times it is so scary to go into hospital alone with no close family support when your life is falling apart due to no fault of your own, a special thanks to the student midwife ‘beth’ who made me feel very comfortable and chatted with me until I was ready to go home. Thank you

Respect to the staff here. TV programmes such as one born every minute do not do the staff here justice but honestly, the midwives, doctors... all the way through to the cleaners are such professional and competent staff. Cannot thank them enough for what they did for us and my little girly Isabella Rose. One negative comment is the price and quality of the car park. £2.80 for 25 mins stay and £5.50 every day when visiting and the car park spaces are tiny! I was shocked that there are no parent and child parking spaces of all the places you'd expect to see some and the car park spaces are too narrow so it makes it hard when putting your baby seat in safely. Thought the price was disgraceful to be honest, making money off visitors and the price cannot be justified.

I collected my friend today after she had an operation. I turned in to the wrong place and unfortunately I was stranded as my battery went flat. I would like to give a big thank you to the 2 QS security men that helped me out. Thank you both very much. How kind you both were.

Sadly had to go into hospital yesterday as I miscarried at almost 12 weeks and had to be admitted after surgery due to blood loss, had to have an operation to remove baby as my body wouldn't let go,just as im about to be wheeled into theatre an anesthetist asked me "why are you having this procedure,do you not want this baby"....I'd already told her my baby was dead and thats why I was there,it upset me so much,i woke up from the anaesthetic in tears and was asked why I was crying so told them what she had said...her boss came and apologised twice for her colleagues comment and was a lovely woman who assured me this will be dealt with but now im home im feeling so down,I felt like the 1st woman was asking me why I chose to have an abortion...I wanted that baby so much, definitely didn't want an abortion at all????????

Had a traumatic experience at this hospital had to have a emergency cesarean wasn't given pain relief for 24 hours after asking for it loads , my baby had to go on antibiotics and his blood for his infection wasn't taken for two days, I was on a ward and had to wait two hours one time to get my cannula re-inserted cause it had fallen out so I ended up missing a dose of antibiotics, they were doing handover, things got better when I broke down to a midwife and they moved me to a private side room staff were more friendly there, also wasn't told the infection me and my baby had was sepsis don't know why they kept this from me, I could go on and on with the different bad things that happened terrible experience ,

I had a very long labour which end to a C-section. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been emotionally without Anna and Sharon who have been so supportive. The other staff have been very good to me too. I wish everyone to get the same support as I have had.

I had my first ever surgery and was very nervous, but every single member of staff I encountered were friendly and helped keep me calm. I was cared for from the moment I stepped in the door to the moment I left again. All the staff need a raise and a break though because they're constantly swept off their feet from understaffing.

They were so lovely helped me and kept me calm and the operation was so fast the doctors who did the operation made sure I was okay and kept me calm and helped me through the whole section. I lost loads of blood and the care I got was amazing anything I needed I got just rang the bell and they would help me feed the baby and speak to me and keep me calm give me pain relief. Was a lovely experience thank you Aintree and Liverpool women’s for all the support and the birth of my baby.

Lovely staff, had a medical scan done and felt really comfortable during what could have been an unpleasant experience, thanks to the technician and nurse being pleasant and chatty. One thing I really didn't like is that this hospital has a lot of huge pictures of babies on posters and banners everywhere... I get it, it's a womens hospital, people have babies here... but also many women are there for miscarriages, fertility treatment, getting devastating news. I wish they would downplay that aspect in the more general medical areas (like ultrasounds, as opposed to prenatal or labour wards!)

Had my c section here awhile ago. The midwives were nice. Always got pain relief when needed and when my visitors left, they would help me feed and change the baby if i was to sore to move. And the surgeon's were also nice and did a great job on my operation.

The most incredible and supportive staff in both the Hewitt fertility centre and maternity and labour staff. I’ve been through the entire experience from IVF to birth and the staff have been incredible, every single one of them. I truly felt they cared as if they were part of my family, feel so lucky to have had the most amazing experience having my first baby here and truly can’t thank them all enough. You are all the best, lots of love Emma, Nima and baby Vinnie ????

My wife was struggling with very bad pain and inflammation with her ovaries. She got an appointment for a gynecologist in your hospital. It would have been 2 month later. Her pain got worse, so she went to your emergency room. You gave an excellent and quick service even if she is not pregnant. You helped her in every way in the kindest way. Even if her appointment was later, you acted quickly and helped her through the sickness. Thank you for all your help!

Overheard a young woman who was on a Pre employment course being spoken to by a Health care assistant is a disgusting manner, she was completely humiliated and disregarded. All for asking if there was any more work she could could instead of sitting in a staff room. And this all happened infront of my labouring wife and I. About 12 when the HCA’s brought the lunches round we were served an Egg mayonnaise sandwich that was out of date !!! Over all the staff were rude and very unprofessional. Sincerely hope the young woman who was spoken to so rudely is not to upset.

My daughter Sarah has just delivered today at 12.59, her sister Mags Ellis-Menton was her midwife and gave up her day off to deliver her I have never been so proud of my girls in all my life, Sarah had to have a forceps delivery in the end and I can honestly say that through all the hustle and bustle and the amount of people in the room she was informed every step of the way, they spoke in a language we all understood, were so calm and reassuring and need a medal every one of them, special thanks to the Midwives who looked after her Sheila, Diane who's nuts had us rolling, Vicky who's just lovely and stayed all night and of course my Mags. I will never be able to thank you all personally and if I missed anyone I'm sorry. Absolutely lovely experience and a fantastic hospital deserve an award.

I love this facility and the women who work on the honeysuckle team for bereaved parents are amazing! We were really looked after and made to feel really comfortable! Although it was a sad time for us we couldnt thank these specialists enough! We have helped donate to the team to help other families going through similar.

My wife had a c section last thursday had being first time parents thought we'd have at least a tiny bit of help basically had baby thrown at us and told to breast feed without being shown how wife was left bruised which didnt help baby feed over next few days as she then struggled he eventually learned to. But back to hospital experience itself on after i left her she was left with no one checking on her then when i got back there the next day we where left alone until 8 at night when someone just turned up said we could go no info no bath dem no pain relief just left my wife struggling which we got through but was very hard on her would not recommend this place to anyone very angry bad care place.

I only attend as an outpatient but I find this hospital brilliant. The staff are kind & helpful. The corridors , waiting rooms are clean & bright & the treatment facilities for women with bladder problems are great. My mother went in for a full hysterectomy to remove cancer. When she went in for the operation she was told her womb was too big so they could not operate using the keyhole method. When she went in for the operation she was told she could have to keyhole surgery. After the operation she was prescribed with needles for her recovery and socks. She was told no information about the needles or what she can and can't do. She had to be told by her own daughter that had previously had the needles.

Daughter went in for c section. Left in pain for 3hours after asking for medication. Left alone for most of the time after visitors left, not shown how to breast feed properly so caused bruises on breasts. Then told the baby was slightly tongue tied which had been shown now is clearly not the case, she is very badly tongue tied. Wouldn’t leave a dog in there for care!

It kinda annoys me when I see such low reviews for this hospital since the facilities are modern and clean and the staff are professional and sensitive. This is a hospital dedicated to female health and it should be supported in every way possible. Plus there is a Pokemon gym in the waiting area! :)

This hospital is head and shoulders above the rest! The doctors and nurses are amazing and every member of staff go out of their way to help. My mother has had a few gynaecological appointments here and was treated with respect and care. This is the best hospital and staff I have ever experienced and I cannot praise them highly enough!

Absolutely lovely hospital. Brilliant birthing facilities and caring and well mannered staff. I gave birth here 6/12/14 and felt very comfortable and happy with staying overnight. The aftercare was brilliant, I had plenty of help from the midwives which was great for me as I was a first time mum. Staff helped feed, bath and change my baby, which was a huge benefit for me as I had been in labor for 3 days and was exhausted. I couldn't thank the midwives enough, they all deserve gold medals.

Impossible to get in touch with and a very poor emergency advice line. Having rung the 24 hour emergency line on more than one occasion, I have been sitting on the phone for over an hour before finally giving up and hanging up. My wife also experienced hostility from rude and argumentative pharmacists.

I cannot believe that people are moaning about parking and visitors' toilets. I had major surgery for an ovarian tumour at the Women's Hospital and the care I received was first class. My consultant, the registrars and the nurses, wonderful. I will always be grateful.
