I have taken my children with minor Injuries to this hospital 3 times over the past 2-3 years. They are amazing. The longest time we had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes. Today we went to Macclesfield A&E first, because it was closer. They told us we have to wait 5 hours!!! So we went to Altringham and my son was seen in 1 hour 15 min, had treatment and we left in 1 hour 30 min. This hospital has 2 nice waiting areas. There are some toys for children, coffee and tea machine for about £1 a drink. And the quality of drinks is good. The hospital is extremely clean and the staff is polite and friendly.

I attended the ophthalmic department. I was very impressed with the building and cleanliness. Reception staff very polite and friendly, the nurses were very professional and advised what treatment they were doing. The consultant was very nice and explained everything. Really nice department. Would highly recommend.

Nice place but no disabled parking or any normal parking for more than 20 minutes Edit: I found they have some disabled parking in the underground if you call ahead with your reg and have a blue badge

No triage. Kids with tiny cat scratches seen before someone with operation done in hospital day before, bleeding into shoe from op site and elderly, waiting still after 2 hours. The kids urinated onto floor at reception. A nurse wiped it with a towel and put cones there. Wasnt properly cleaned. I left without seeing anyone after 2 hours. Really shocking. Why is there no triage?

Made a few visits over the last couple of years. From a severed finger to dodgy knees popping out. Always found the place and the staff very pleasant. A decent fresh coffee on arrival wouldn't go a miss. Nibbles in the afternoon maybe?

Fell at home and cut head open on corner of wall.Made despise gash and this was on Thursday at 18.00. Manage to stem the bleeding by putting bandage on my head. Got to the hospital at 18.30 and was dealt most efficiently and sympathetically by Rebecca on A&E reception. Was seen within 30 minutes by a nurse who administered glue to the wound and thoroughly checked me over and made sure I was ok and checked with a doctor if I could go home as I am over 70 and live on my own.I made the decision to go home. I went back on Friday morning at 08.00 just to have the wound looked at as there was some oozing and a nurse put on some strips . All in all a very impressive performance by the hospital staff. Well done

This is the weirdest looking hospital ive ever seen, the first time i went i have to admit i was looking that hospital type building like you do, but it looks more like an office block. A friend recommended i get a taxi because parking is virtually non-existent, he was right, not only that my taxi driver was panicking because he couldn't find the place lol, we'd drove past it twice lol Funny. The hospital itself is nice inside, staff are always pleasant. I visit the eye dept once a year and it's nearly always very busy but I'm never there any longer than 45 mins and I have 3 examinations.

Trafford NHS is just awful. This isn't a hospital. No staff, no patients no management.

My son has just visited Altrincham Hospital due to his face being all swollen, he was told that they couldn't deal with it and was told to go to Trafford General!!!. Also on couple of occasions i have taken my mum there to have a dressing changed rather than take her to wythenshawe but again was told that they could deal with it and told to go to wythenshawe. surely the have the capability of changing a dressing!!! obviously not, what is the point of it being there

First visited when my fiance broke her elbow. Wythenshawe hospital were unable to diagnose the break, however this hospital recognised and sorted the issue very quickly. Very friendly staff and never had any long waiting times on the two visits I've made.

Called at 6pm with a badly sprained ankle which was taking a while to heal. Within 45 minutes I had seen a nurse, had an x-ray and then seen the nurse again. Excellent service.

Extremely disappointing. I work in the NHS myself and after finishing a busy clinic at 6.30pm (should have finished at 4.30pm) I came home to find my son had injured his wrist. I checked the Hospital web site for opening times which stated 8am-8pm. I arrived at 7.40pm to be told that it was to late for a consultation as the last one was at 7.30pm. Surely the website opening times should state the closing time is 7.30 to prevent wasted visits.

It takes almost 3 hours just for the blood tests. My mother had the fasting one for glucose and waiting for that long was not good. Medical is getting worse by the day in the UK. What a shame! Also what hospital doesn’t have its own parking. Had to pay for the car park too.

Actually disappointed by the nurses whom work there. Was going to go to the A&E at whythenshaw after Hearing the 111 staff's recommendation but I decided (after discussion) to go to the minor injuries unit at Altrincham hospital which was closer. Waited roughly 30 minutes which was within my expectation and then was called in by a nurse. He soaked my wounds with salt water and then rubbed some type of fabric into+against the wound get the dried blood etc out of it to clean it. Even though I was crying in pain, he decided to continue to apply the level of pressure and force he did prior to my cry/scream. Fair enough, maybe there were some medical science behind it. ..... but the fact that he applied a huge plaster on it and couldn't bother to apply dressing over it instead of a plaster was really inconsiderate as the adhensive bit of the plaster was stuck ONTO my wounds rather to cover it. Smh.... the pain I had to endure to take it off was unnecessary, I sure won't be going there again...
