Awful Customer service, I had a tyre replaced here on the 8th of January, it lasted a month before it started losing pressure I topped it up on several occasions only to wake up today with a flat, called them to see if they could help/give advice on whether there work was guaranteed, was constantly told told to go online, when I asked about the mobile fitting service they offer I was just told the same thing, no attempt to explain anything, Definitely urge anyone to look elsewhere first.

Zero customer service. I arrived unexpectedly at this garage due to 2 punctured tyres. The chap on reception didn’t even look up from the computer when I arrived. Just clicked away for a good 2-3 minutes without a word until he was ready to address me. He could not have been more glum. He told me the punctures could be repaired within the hour for £20 each. It would call if “anything else needed to be done.”
I popped across the road to a cafe and waited. And waited. And waited. I had a great view from the shop window and saw the staff stood around outside on three occasions chatting whilst my vehicle sat on the jack. 1.5 hours And several coffees later they called me to tell me the punctures were irreparable and I needed 3 new tyres at the cost of £73 per tyre for budget tyres!! Mid-range around £90 and premium over £120. I had a hunch something wasn’t right about that so I decided to take a chance and drive to the place I usually go to in Burgess Hill. To my surprise they didn’t contest, just handed me my keys so off I went.
I drove gingerly for 10 more minutes on the punctured tyres. Welcomed to my regular place with a cup of tea where they fitted 2 new tyres and used the “best” of the old tyres as a spare. This came in at more than half the price of National Tyres dodgy quote. To add to my disappointment, I checked out national tyres website this evening and input my vehicle info which gave me a price of under £50 per tyre for budget INCLUDING fitting.

Had 4 tyres fitted at National tyres Hassocks, paid for 4 wheel alignment, fitted tyres then when I said what about tracking, was told they did it first, lol. And dash cam was unpluggèd before it went into tyre bay, very suspicious. WON'T be going there again. Also all 4 tyre pressures were way off.

Horrible. Bought new tyres from them because they were selling at a discount (price included fitting + balancing). They fitted the new tyres but didn't balance the wheels. Tyre pressure set unevenly on the left / right side. Asked them to do a car battery health check, which they do for free. And guess what? They came asking me where my car battery is because they couldn't find it!
Didn't even bother taking my car back to them, can't trust it to these people. Had everything sorted at a different garage.
Never again!

They do indeed do tyres and via tyre shopper have been consistently the best price for my tyres and as they are one of the closer places what is not to like. Well they do leave your wheels needing washing and yesterday I drove away to find one tyre at 37npis and the other at 43!

Terrible. Tracking made significantly worse. Tyres set to wrong pressure. Pressure sensors not reset. Returned for fix. Still not fixed. Refund not processed as agreed. Both fitter and manager have less than 6 months experience which is reflective of the service. Nice guys but not what you want when it comes to repairs. I would tread with caution

If there was a no star option I would have rated that. My partner took his Land Rover in for it's brake pads to be replaced on it. After having the car for a day or two he had a phone call to say they had found battery fluid on top of the battery. He was obviously concerned. The Land Rover had only just come back from 'Hardwoods Land Rover' official dealer from having it's parking brake replaced. Only having the car back for 2 days before going to National Tyres this obviously raised some questions as to where this issue arose from? After having the car for a week my partner phoned/received calls from a young guy who worked there promising several times that car would be ready at 2pm two days in a row it wasn't. He was sent to another centre due to short staffing. One phone call from the young guy resulted in him telling my partner at 4:30pm He only had half an hour left to finish the breaks so will come in extra early on the Monday morning, partner stated not helpful as he was working from 6:30 am onwards for the day. When we arrived on the Monday afternoon to collect the car we were told his car had been ready since 9am that morning from the same guy he had been having multiple conversations with previously. My partner stated he was not happy with the service and everything that had taken place. The young guy then said 'I 'URGE!' you to complain to head office it might actually get us extra staff'. I couldn't believe what I was hearing so is that the correct way to get extra staff is to give a customer disgusting and unacceptable service? I am absolutely terrified with the service and level of professionalism this place has or should I say hasn't. We will NOT be ever using National Tyres ever again!

So disappointed! Previously had good service from these guys and today took a punctured tyre to them for repair and was told would take a few hours and they would phone me as soon as it was ready. Phoned them at 4.55pm and was told, "sorry, been too busy today!" That car has to make a trip to Edinburgh first thing Monday morning - thank goodness I called them, or I would have been in REAL trouble. They just lost my support.

Had two tyres fitted 22/03/18 and charged £13 for wheel balancing but equipment was broken so I was told they would call me when it was repaired and I could bring the car in for them to do the balancing. Phoned them on 25/04 and was told that machine was fixed, just come in and we’ll do them for you quickly. Went in on 27/4 and was told I would have to wait an hour before he could do the job. I asked for a refund of the £13 so I could go elsewhere and was told I would have to wait until he had finished the two jobs he was busy with! Their tyre turnover seems small compared to their staff turnover! What is going on at this branch???

A convenient place to get your tires serviced. Shame about the miserable Scottish guy though. Negative people bring everybody down, customers and colleagues alike. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for him. I visited three times and he was very consistently rubbish.

Brought & arranged tyre fitting online, competitive price for two premium Goodyear tyres. Voucher for half price front tyre alignment (bargain) Center easy to find, helpful and polite staff, fitting & alignment check took just under an hour - what more could you ask for? Will definitely use again!

Called early in the morning and was told to come the garage by mid-day, my brake pads and discs were replaced including wheel alignment & balancing was carried out that same day. All was done for a very good price and staff were helpful and friendly.

Had a problem after the wrong tyres were fitted for my vehicle. Came in and spoke to Nigel as the manager was off sick. Nigel was absolutely fantastic and reassured me they would fix the issue for me. Meanwhile, I received a call from the regional manager who apologised for the situation and told me they would replace the tyres at no additional cost. Tyres are now perfect! Will return to this branch again.

After booking an AM slot online two days ago to have four tyres fitted today, I have just phoned up ( 8.00am) to confirm the tyres are in and what time this morning I can come down. Nathan has told me they won't be fitted till 2.00pm as he is busy with walk ins and other bookings. When I phoned their head office I was told there is no reason why I shouldn't have my tyres fitted this morning and I only put this down to incompetent staff. Even though I explained I have an extremely busy weekend which is why I booked them to be done this morning he just repeated they can't be done till 2.00. I found the member of staff ( Nathan ) to be rude and unaccommodating and will certainly never use this branch again.

Totally ripped me off. Replaced discs but failed to mention the callipers had seized and weren't working. Asked to check the exhaust system after service and MOT elsewhere pointed out a problem with emissions to be told the exhaust needed replacing but emissions were fine - Then told me the exhaust was a complete unit and not replaceable in sections. Less than 6 months later car failed MOT on seized callipers and exhaust emissions!

My wife took in our car to have a puncture plugged like we have done on a number of occasions at other tyre centres (including a different national branch). The staff there told her it was too close to the edge/wall when in fact it was about an inch or more inside. Tried to sell her a new tyre on safety grounds. Took the tyre to another place in Burgess Hill, no problem at all, no risk etc etc. Shocking attempt to overcharge sell an unnecessary new tyre.
