Sealy wanted inspector to inspect a replaced faulty mattress. So they hired Home serve who believe that a 5 month old mattress costing £1400 was an invalid claim? I will leave this photo for your own judgment on the company

Booked via the Web, sent images of the furniture and got a quote and visit booked. Engineer arrived, sorted the issue in under an hour, was very polite and tidied up after the works were done. Excellent service all round ????????

Had Homeserve visit us today as we had an accidental chip on our white table only to be told that it was wear and tear. Not only that it took 4 weeks to get someone to come round to look at it who had no intention of fixing it, just going through the motions. Poor service, poor customer service and not worth the money or paper its written on. Even the servicing engineer could not get through to his own company! What hope do we have!

If the company you bought a furniture from is going to send HomeServe to assess the problem, be very aware! These guys are very dodgy! We bought a sliding wardrobe from Benson For Beds. Two months later the sliding doors were getting jammed so we were unable to open the doors. Contacted Benson For Beds. To assess the problem, they sent a guy from HomeServe, who literally pulled wool over our eyes. When determining if floor is even or not, he intentionally put the spirit level on top of an elevated screw on the base, held the long spirit level on one side, so it went on an angle. Took a picture of the spirit level and reported the floor is uneven! When we asked him to show us the spirit level again, he got up and quickly left. When we used our spirit level avoiding the screw, the level is fine. BensonForBeds have said they will only go with this "independent" report that our floor is uneven. The HomeServe guy literally scammed us in front of our eyes! EDIT: To your response, please refer to my photos of the same site in the wardrobe just avoiding the screw - the level is fine showing that the floor is even. Your technician always placed his long spirit level on TOP of this screw (probably even in the pictures he is not holding it to one side! ) Would like to see these pictures btw. When we realised what he was doing and asked him to show the level to us, he very quickly left the scene. If he is confident our floor is not even, why could he not show us the levels?

After calling the oak furniture on the Wednesday they were able to send someone from homeserve the following day which was fantastic. The guy came and checked everything and was able to fix the issue quickly. Definitely no issues with the service provided.

Put in a claim for an Oak coffee table which was purchased from Oak furniture land & covered with guarantee. Long story short, noticed damage, so reported immediately but kept being put through to the wrong team eventually got to correct place and had a technician come for repair. They rejected the claim as they ‘feel’ this happened overtime. No evidence just a allegation. I would advise to avoid as they basically will claim your lying.

Came to do an independent appraisal and review of a piece of furniture we were in dispute with the manufacturer about. Very professional and knowledgeable. Fully recommend the company.

I had a sofa that was sagging. Was recommended homeserve. Unfortunately I had three technicians who all diagnosed different problems. Emailed homeserve who were unresponsive . Tried calling, was promised a callback that never materialised. Avoid.

Would recommend Homeserve. Friendly and courteous customer service followed by a visit from an equally polite professional tradesmen who carried out invisible remedial work to our sofa.

Poor. James Jones attended to fit wardrobe doors that had been replaced. He left before we could properly check and when we realised he hadn't done what he should have he didn't reply to any attempted calls or messages for the rest of day. Nor did he reply the next. He would have clearly known there was still damage when he left, so it is deceitful rather than sloppy. The magnets are broken and don't line up, so the doors don't hold shut. Rather than explaining to us he might need to order parts, he has shot off quickly claiming work has been done, then ignored contact attempts on his mobile that he called us from prior to attending. We will no doubt now need to sit in a call queue for over an hour to the furniture company we ordered from to re book another appointment.

Criminals!!!! I have never come across a company as terrible as this and i can only assume their current 4 star rating is from fake accounts as I've now seen repeatedly the same complaints. I paid £48 for a quote to repair a rip in my sofa, a technician came to my property and cut a piece of the material to reference for a quote. I then heard nothing back after a month and chased them 4 to 5 times. Over 3 months later after continuous chasing i am told they cannot help me and i can't receive a refund because call outs arent refundable. Its the most corrupt business model; make money from calls out and dont fulfil the service promised to the customer but keep the money. Most companies would have offered a refund from the poor service alone. Save your money and find other providers.

I would avoid using Homeserve. They gave me a 6 hour window and I watched the technician park then drive away, I then received a call to say he could not get parking. On the second visit he did a terrible job and I could have done better myself with a cloth and water. Waste of money and time.

Friendly and helpful technician. Homeserve were appointed to sort out an issue with a new sofa that arrived damaged from Oak Furnitureland. We were given an appointment and Homeserve kept us updated during the process. The technician arrived on time and was polite, friendly and immediately explained the repair process. He quickly and efficiently sorted out the issue with the sofa and it's now probably stronger than it was to begin with. Top service ????

We required a repair to an Oak Furniture Land sofa that arrived with some damage to the original fabric during lock down. The gentleman arrived and promptly repaired the damage to the fabric in the sofa with no fuss and great speed. He was very polite and friendly. A fantastic experience, thank you.

BE AWARE of this company when they send a technician or inspector to your house. They lie so the company that send them always wins. You won't get a fair report. I am very disappointed with the recent report that your technician sent to Honey Pot Furniture. I have received the report that your technician made about my sofa. The report does not match with the explanation he gave me, a part for that I am not happy with the sofa. He stated in the report that the dip was cause by wear and tear, which in part is true. What he did not include in the report is that the dip it is caused because the layer of foam is too thin and soft, also the technician told me that it could be replaced with a harder material. Because of this report the company that sold me the sofa will not repair my sofa. Also the technician stated in the report that he took 60 minutes in the inspection of the sofa, when he took less than 15 minutes in total. Also he stated that the environment, condition and maintenance were averaged. Which is far from the truth. I had this sofa for nine months, and the seat looks like it is been used for many years. The rest of the sofa, as the technician saw, is in perfect condition. I am very disappointed with Home Furniture service. Now I am going to have to send the sofa for repairing and spend extra money because of your technician's report. You are covering this company and encourage them to keep selling a product that it should not be sold. This is very unfair.

Unhappy with the service provided. After a technician came out to assess the damage stating that there were two options for repair and we would have a quote for both, it took numerous phone calls to their office before being told it couldn't after all be repaired. An extremely unprofessional setup.

An item of furniture purchased from Oak furniture land had a two areas of minor damage. I telephoned Homeserve and was soon speaking to an extremely helpful person. She sent a link for me to send photographs of the damage which she saw while we were speaking. 24 hours later I received an appointment and time slot. She talked through my options if I wasnt happy with the repair. So, 4 days later, the competent repair man arrived. Half an hour later the job was complete to the extent that I could not see the original faults. Best customer service I have received in a long time especially given the COVID situation. I had my delivery charge refunded for my inconvenience. Very happy customer. Couldn't fault them.

Today Homeserve Furniture Repairs visited our property for the 5th time to repair pistons in our folding bed. The first visit was to remove the pistons, the four since then have been with the wrong size of piston. Their (friendly and helpful fitters) arrive with the pistons, tell us within two minutes they are the wrong size, contact head office, head office order a new set of pistons which are the wrong size, fitter returns. Same pattern each time. Today I asked the fitter to call head office so I could speak to someone from his phone, no one would talk the call. In all of this time, I have not had one call of apology or explanation from the head office. All of this whilst they have half of the payment made in July this year. So...out of pocket, a broken bed, no contact. I am writing this here as I have no confidence they will deal with it directly. Update 01/12/20 Awaiting the promised Monday call by Joe. No change to the above. Having read the latest report also turns out the bolts from the original pistons are not with the fitter. Update 02/12/20 Awaiting the promised Monday 30/11 call.

Expensive and not value for money. Homserve sent out a technician to do a quote (£50 spent then!) then ANOTHER separate appointment to fix the couch but turns out that is just to take one of the cushions to cut to shape and then they will come back when the new cushions are cut and THEN repair the couch. They require payment up front for couch repairs. THey took over 6 weeks from making the appointment to calling back with the next slot when they would actually do the repairs. But then do not show up and blame their external courier provider for not having delivered the cushions to them. No follow up at all and I am still chasing them. it has been over six weeks and I am out of pocket, I have a couch that sags and has a cushion missing and these clowns can't even call me back to update me. If i could give zero stars I would.

Terrible company to deal with. Waited nearly two months to have some furniture repaired which contradicts there own policy and what there engineer told me. Many calls made and not one apology or explanation. Made a complaint and not had any follow up. They never ring back as promised, and one person I was speaking to was chewing gum. Not professional at all. I rang nearly two weeks ago to be told my furniture was ready and I would recieve a call to arrange delivery. Guess what, I've had no call to arrange. Avoid at all cost!

Abysmal service – by the time the minor repairs to a chair leg will (hopefully) be completed by Homeserve it will have been 8 weeks since the technician took the damaged part. The technician was friendly and efficient and indicated it should take no more than 3 days to fix the part. However, there was no effort made at the time of the initial appointment to schedule a follow up appointment for the chair leg to be returned.

Were relatively efficient at setting up an appointment but £100 later after the visit there is no change to the stain on my upholstered headboard. The technician advised me this was possible, and in the event I should try to seek a refund. I have emailed three times now requesting this and nobody answers. 10 days have passed.

The oak TV cabinet we purchased from a well known company had 3 large varnish drips on the door, I contacted the said company who finally put me in touch with Homeserve Furniture repairs, who rang me straight away their technician came the next day carried out the required repair to the door in under 40 minutes, we are very happy with this companies service, member of staff and his professionalism. We would definitely recommend Homeserve Furniture Repairs limited.

This is 100% the worst service I have ever received from a company. If I could give them 0 stars i would, however, Google would not let me. I came to them with an issue of a mark on my sofa which came with my rented flat (slight singe mark). The sofa was still usable at the time as there was no structural damage to the sofa. Homeserve came out to view the damage to see if they could repair. I was told they needed to take a sample of the fabric so the technician cut out a big chunck of fabric from the sofa cushion (i thought his was strange at the time). He told me they should definitely be able to create a new sofa cushion cover. 3 months down the line after numerous emails and numerous promises that I would get a qoute for a new cushion and even told that they could make me a temporary replacement, I have now been told that they cannot do either. Now I am left in a worse situation then when I came to them as before the landlord could still rent out the flat with the sofa having a slight mark. Now the sofa is not usable and I am having to purchase a new sofa because homeserve cut out a big chunck of material from the sofa cushion cover. Homeserve then think it is OK to only offer a £48 refund (call out fee) to make this good. This is totally unacceptable as I am having to pay out close to £600 for a new sofa due to their mistake. Its safe to say i won't be recommending Homeserve furniture repairs to anyone as the service I have received during the 3 months of emails and phone calls is completely unprofessional and clearly they do not value any of their customers! Hopefully this review will put off anyone else from using them.

We purchased furniture from Oak Furniture Land, we have since had problems with the cushions to such an extent that the settee is extremely uncomfortable, we reported the problem early October, HFR have accepted liability & tell us they have ordered replacement cushions, over 2 - months later we are still waiting for a resolution, we have called 3-4 times asking for an update, & all we are told is that they cannot get hold of the cushions from the supplier, but they will chase up & call us back, guess what? the call back never happens, it feels like they just want us to go away, in the mean time we still have uncomfortable furniture.

As has been stated by previous reviewers, BEWARE! They came out to "inspect" an extremely poor quality Laura Ashley chair on behalf of Barclays Partner Finance (who they presumably they have a contract with) that makes an absolute racket when sitting in. The "engineer" who "inspected" it said that it's completely normal for a swivel chair to sound like a cow bell when sitting in. He did agree on a small tear to the fabric, but this was obvious. I would take this up with the Furniture Ombudsman, but I have read bad things about them in national newspapers and they are also a limited company?! How these people are qualified as technicians to inspect furniture is beyond me!

I needed a kitchen cupboard repaired so contacted Homeserve Furniture Repairs. I was told i'd need to pay £40 + VAT to have someone come out, look at the cupboard and quote for the repair. I paid, the guy turned up, spent 15-20 minutes looking and taking pictures. Indicated that they'd need to replace the mechanisms and left. I received an email later to say they couldn't get the parts and therefore couldn't quote for the work. Seems like I paid £40+VAT for nothing.

If working on behalf of an insurer or retailer dont expect anything. Our friends reclining chairs are faulty after only 8 months and although the date of the complaint is clearly stated as march they put age when complaint raised as 14 months as because of covid they have only come out last month. Wear and tear Invalid claim on furniture 8 months old. Small claims court now in fact the report is that amateur it should ensure my friend wins.

Had an appointment booked in, were given a half day window (12-6pm) so had to take the whole afternoon off work to wait for the technician to arrive, only for them to fail to show up at all. Even called towards the end of the day to see whether they were en route, basically got fobbed off and told I should be patient and wait. Poor service I'm afraid.

I've recently purchased a superking tv bed from Dreams store.. After getting my flooring done and decorating my room I noticed damp coming up my walls.. I now have to get the bed out of the room 2 get floor treated.. I called Dreams whom were less than helpful.. they said they only assemble beds when they are first bought so they gave me Homeserves number.. when I called I was told it will cost me over £520 to hav the bed dismantled and assembled into another room.. it only cost me £75 by dreams to assemble it!! Extremely overpriced company!! Getting a good joiner to do it now.

No issues with the guys who come out..they did a first class job. However..do i feel ripped off. The charges for the job were very high for what needed doing. You cant get through on phones and time taken to do what I consider a simple repair took 4 weeks. I had to keep chasing otherwise it would have been longer. Anyway..lesson learnt will not use again purely for how much they ripped me off
