The main shop has moved further up Goldhawk Rd. It is a happy friendly environment. You might see someone working downstairs on a chair. If it is sunny, they might be on the roof terrace. Mind the steps! They did a magnificent job on my 2 old chairs. See before and after pictures.

We are more than thrilled with the result of our chair recovering from Chairman and Son. The transformation is remarkable and the result better than we had anticipated. The chair had been in the family for some time and was quite sentimental to us hence our care in choosing an upholsterer. Chairman and Son came recommended by a local businessman and we were more than happy with the quote once we shopped around. Chairman and Son were very accommodating to our needs, tastes and requests and followed through with them all. I am quite particular when it comes to workmanship and the results were immaculate. The attention to detail and their efforts to go above and beyond what I had expected were highly regarded. They even got in contact about an aspect of our chair that we hadn't considered and sourced, recommended and supplied what we needed the next day. Chairman and Son's communication was excellent and kept us updated as to where they were up to and delivered the chair back to us before the expected time. They allowed my daughter and I into the workshop to see the chair recovering in action and they were always friendly and made time to chat through our options. I would highly recommend Chairman and Son to anyone who is looking for an efficient business, with quality workmanship with very competitive prices.

Terrible service and awful customer service. Really shoddy job and returned broken, wouldn’t even bother coming to the phone to speak about it. Wrapped it up so you couldn’t see it was broken. Would never use again Response to your response: I am very confused as to your response, basically suggesting that we broke the chair by taking the wrapping off. When we called you, immediately after unwrapping, your assistant shouted down the phone “it’s always been broken”. We then visited your shop as you refused to come to the phone and you stated “it’s always been f**king broken” (charming customer service there by the way). So which is it? Always broken, although didn’t tell us that, or we broke it by taking the wrapping off?! In terms of your cynical response that we are after a “freebie”, that is completely unfair. We paid over £250 for the re-upholstery of a chair. A chair which you informed us was always broken, well we were definitely not aware of all of the wood being broken, and if we were, we would not have paid such a lot of money to re-upholster a worthless and useless chair that you cannot sit in. I would suggest that you should have contacted us to tell us it was “broken all along” so that we could have made the decision then before you worked on it. We would have accepted an apology and an explanation. That is not what we received however, we got atrocious and discourteous customer service. You have now agreed to glue it back together, which in my opinion is the least that you could do. This does not however improve our experience, or indeed the end product which is a dodgy chair. You can make us out to be dodgy reviewers looking for something for nothing, but we both know that is far from the truth and is just another example of your poor service.

Simon built several pieces of Bespoke Furniture for my house, each of which is a one off and the quality of workmanship and after care has been truly first class - This man, knows about custom built high end quality furniture making and is a master craftsman.

A superbly made Wing chair from a bare restored chair frame. Real craftsmanship and both Simon and Sam great to deal with. Result far exceeded our expectations.

Simon is a master upholsterer and the 'go-to' furniture restorer for stately homes, interior designers and lucky people like me. You may have to join the queue of his many clients but when you see the finished article you will be delighted! Superb quality and excellent value for money.
