Brilliant place to go for Afternoon tea, one of the best I have ever had, staff were lovely, fresh food, good value and a wonderful afternoon tea experience. I look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend for special occasions. The Tea terrace is well worth a visit.

Service here continues to decline - we normally set ourselves up for a lengthy lunch when visiting here as we know service is slow, but even with this expectation we continue to be impressed at the lack of attentiveness and duration it …

A lovely place to refresh yourself and drink in the relaxed and inviting ambience. Excellent choice of tea and scones, difficult the match their range in cream teas. Absolutely first class, even for the most discerning palates you won't be disappointed. Great value for money! ????

Mad hatters party you don't want to be joining. Sticky tables. Overpriced food and a rather stingy cup of tea. Yes it looks wonderful but the food was basic and what shall I say " just not my cup of tea. £11.95 for some cheese on toast …

Food is okay if it was half the price. £14 for a kids set lunch consisting of a ham sandwich, a hand full of frozen chips and four slices of cucumber, with an orange juice followed by a small stale cupcake - joke! £4 for a small pot of tea …

I usually have afternoon tea here quite often as the scones are really good and there is a variety of teas to chose from. Service can be quite poor, though, from previous experiences. On my last visit I saw a mouse running around the tables so I’ll never go there again!

Very lovely treat with my daughter. Pricey but worth an experience in the carriage. Food was delicious and the cakes were amazing! Such a wide choice as well and the staff were lovely and attentive. Definitely would recommend for all little princesses

I visited there today and explained I was Gluten free and requested a Gluten free scone this was at 11am. I requested this as they had nothing gluten free on their breakfast menu. I was informed they couldn’t do a gluten free scone until 11.30 as this was on the lunchtime menu. 30 mins early that’s poor service.

Hmm... Standards are slipping at the Tea Terrace... The "fruit skewers" are now egg cup-sized bowls of tired-looking grapes. The teapot no longer comes with a strainer - none is needed because the tea now sits in the pot in a bag. Shame...

Food cold, poor service, rusty cutlery and then to have the cheek of automatically adding gratuity to the bill without asking! Stupidly I did not check this until I paid the bill. Won't be going back.

Nice restaurant located on the top floor, above House of Fraser. It's a nice tea time place with a terrace that overlooks town. They also serve breakfast meals. I highly recommend getting the scones with tea.

Pre booked the carriage for my friend 8yr old. The carriage is in poor shape and not worth the 35£ you pay just to sit in it for two hours max. The food is very average cafeteria quality. Not worth sitting in the carriage.
