I usually have afternoon tea here quite often as the scones are really good and there is a variety of teas to chose from. Service can be quite poor, though, from previous experiences.
On my last visit I saw a mouse running around the tables so I’ll never go there again!

I visited there today and explained I was Gluten free and requested a Gluten free scone this was at 11am.
I requested this as they had nothing gluten free on their breakfast menu. I was informed they couldn’t do a gluten free scone until 11.30 as this was on the lunchtime menu.
30 mins early that’s poor service.

The "fruit skewers" are now egg cup-sized bowls of tired-looking grapes. The teapot no longer comes with a strainer - none is needed because the tea now sits in the pot in a bag.
