I’ve had an absolutely shocking experience with this company. Ordered a chamber lining on 16th November after speaking on the phone saying it was in stock. Delivery was supposed to be 5-10 working days. Chased on the 10th working day and turns out they were out of stock but forgot to tell me. This cost me an additional £150 to my fireplace installer that now has to come back and fit the lining retrospectively. I had a revised delivery date of 16th December, and guess what? Still not arrived. Chased on the 16th and still not had a response. Avoid this business at all costs.

Whomever you employ to make your deliveries are therefore your responsibility. Buyers beware!! My review remains entirely factual. Purchase: Suncrest Bradbury Fireplace Delivery: B24 Birmingham. I am sure this information will help you locate my order. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY. The 3 old women who answer the phone are rude - I could actually hear their eyes rolling down the phone. Unsympathetic and unprofessional doesn’t even cut it - even though the issue I encountered was down to their own delivery drivers. Without me requesting them to do so, they unpacked and removed the packaging from the enormous fire I ordered. Hotprice refused to help me in any capacity when trying to return it. Shockingly bad customer service. Paying for the return is fine - having nothing to send it back in is not. Hotprice were so incredibly unhelpful my only option left was to drive it back to the manufacturer in Durham, a 7 hour round trip. £520 is a lot of money for a fireplace and you’d expect a certain standard of customer service to come with it. They passed responsibility from person to person and even to the manufacturer - I am YOUR customer hotprice! Not the manufacturer’s! Perhaps the physical showroom is great but I urge you to look elsewhere if buying from the online department. I will never ever use or recommend hotprice.co.uk.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!!! AWFUL COMPANY!! The most awful customer service!! I bought a cast iron fire insert and was so excited to have my first real fire last night. I was gutted when a big part of it turned bright gold. It’s a easy part to change, so I called up today expecting the company to say no problem we will send you out a replacement. The first chap I spoke to was polite, but then I had to phone there supplier to ask about changing it. Not great customer service. They weren’t interested and said it will tarnish its a real fire. They said to talk back directly to who I bought it from. Then recalling again. The chap said I can buy a new section but they won’t replace it. They said because it clearly says that it will tarnish. I understand what tarnish means, but it doesn’t mean a big section will turn bright gold with one use! I would understand a lot of fires in but one! If they don’t class it as faulty is amazing to me it’s not fit for purpose! When I called up to buy it I was given no information about this. I spoke to the rudest manger and ended up having a huge argument with her. She spoiled my day. Very rude and unhelpful! She just said over and over it’s on the website. I said It’s not just tarnished its bright gold. I have never been so angry to write a review but what awful customer service. So rude not given verbally the write information and a product that’s completely impractical. Disgusting!! Bad!!!

Good price and item arrived. I had to double check to make sure the item was being delivered in time. Ben was fantastic, during and after sales. He is the man to ask for. However the company uses their installers, Heat Installers, which is run by nasty arrogant man, Adam, who accused me with false facts. I think it is fine to order with them, double check when delivery will come, but use your own installer!

DO NOT BUY ANY HEATER FROM THESE GUYS. WENT IN STORE AND SPOKE TO PAUL WHO ADVISED IT WAS BETTER FOR ME TO ORDER WITH HIM RATHER THEN ONLINE. WAS TOLD 7 DAYS DELIVERY HOWEVER WAS LATE, WHEN RANG HIM HE FIRSLTY LIED SAYING HE SAID 10 DAYS AND REPLIED WITH ILL JUST REFUND U IF U WANT, AFTER A WHILE HE THEN CHANGED HIS STORY AND SAID IT WAS LATE HOWEVER THESE THINGS HAPPEN I JUST DIDNT LIKE THE FACT THAT HE TURNED AROUND AND SAID TAKE THE REFUND ANYWAY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO GET DELIVERED, WHEN DELIVERED THE HEATER WAS WRONG FOR ME AS I NEEDED A FLUE LESS ONE AND THIS WAS MY MISTAKE HE TOLD ME ON THE PHONE I CAN RETURN HOWEVER WILL BE A RE STOCKING FEE OR CAN SWAP WITH ANOTHER HEATER, GOT THERE AND SUPRISE SUPRISE I CANNOT RETURN IT AT ALL AND CAN ONLY SWAP IT FOR A LOW POWERED HEATER AND I STILL HAVE TO PAY RE STOCKING FEES AFTER THAT. Still waiting on item ordered last week no delivery in sight called up 5 times still saying the depot will call for delivery Paid £1300 for a fire expected a good service been over 7 days still no delivery or confirmation I’ll be escalating this for a full refund Prices are good But beware because they will take there time in delivering Never again update stop misleading with your reply you did not update me on where the item is i had to call you for this update i paid £1300 not peanuts for you to not even bother with an update to where my item is appaling.. why do i have to chase up for updates? i paid £1300 which is alot of money and i will stick by my review and guess what another day has gone and i still havent got a elivery date/day to avoid being messed around buy from else where

Your installation part of the business is spot on, Dermot is a credit to your company. Now for the bad part the sales side of the company really need to up there game or should I say certain members of your team do. The next time somebody buys anything off you at the very least they should explain the procedure of what happens next after they have paid. 1. At no time did anybody tell me to expect a surveyor to call asking for a appointment to check on if the burner could be fitted. (i would of thought this should of been done before any money had been exchanged for a burner if it was going to be installed by you) 2. When giving a refund or being told a partial refund will be given due to having to change the burner because of no stock you should carry out the said refund and not have the customer chasing it. (again because your sales team never passed the information on) 3. The payment details should be explained to the customer about the installation so they have time to organise getting the money from the bank. That is unless they want the 2.5% charge for paying on there debit card that you charge (so I was informed). I was told on the Friday morning whilst in work and had to get to the bank to sort the money out ready for Tuesday. Very inconvenient... There have been more things I could list but I think you get the point. On the whole could I say I would use your company again, probably not and this is down to the sales person not knowing enough about his job and having a complete lack of experience. I would definitely use the installation company again and recommend him. Like I said at the beginning he is a credit to your company. Shane Lloyd

Expected delivery in 7-10 working days. On day 6 I called, and then again on day 8 to get an idea of the delivery day. I was told I'd be contacted in due course, but nobody called or emailed me. I felt at the time they could have arranged it then but didn't bother. When I called on the 10th working day (the latest specified on the website) I was told they'd tried getting in touch, but I had no missed calls or emails. Felt it was a bad excuse and now I don't have the product 14 days after ordering it, so they failed to meet their specified deadlines.
