I have a powerful laptop for work (Dell XPS) that was starting to show a few signs of age. I considered a new one but instead got a full service, new hinge, air vents cleaned and battery. It's as good as new and I'm sure I'll get a few more years out of it now.
Old school shop where they speak to you like a human and charge a fair price. 10/10

Rude bloke wouldn't let me explain the issue just started yelling about covid despite not wearing a mask himself. Would have been fine to explain it at the door but didn't want to hear it.
In response to the owners response: Wouldn't you want to know what the specific program is that causes it to crash? It only crashes every few hours and doesn't even crash during benchmarks. There is a specific Matlab script that I need for work crashes it. There are a multitude of things that could be causing the issue the pin being one of them. I didnt need to come into your workshop just to show you how to find the script but you arrogantly decided you didn't need it. As best I can remember you said "forget about it" so I walked off, probably for the best as I would've ended with a bill and a computer that crashes at work.
You should inform customers they cannot enter the premises as there is not a nationwide law stating that no one can enter computer repair shops at the moment, just some arbitrary stuff you've decided like your Bournemouth beach case study.

What a marvellous business this is. It is such a wonderful asset not only to the locality community, but also for people such as myself, who are not local but also are able to greatly benefit from the incredible level of service that the proprietor provides. Martin has provided my business with computers and general technological service and advice for more than twenty years. Indeed, five years ago he even repaired an essential computer for us on Boxing Day! Three weeks ago he installed a new Lenovo computer at my business replete with a two terabite solid state drive, and because he was so busy at his premises, he drove to my office more than thirty miles distant in the evening to perform the installation, which included the transfer of data from my other computer onto the new Lenovo. A quite staggeringly high level of service and yet the costs are always more than reasonable.
Bravo Computaplace for you are truly brilliant!

Best service we have ever received from a Computer repair and advice centre. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our laptop died, almost completely. We have a lot of photographs and documents on there which are very special to us, we have back up for some of it but not all. We had all our wedding plans etc and were so worried. It turned out the Hard Drive was damaged. WE are not sure how this happened but it was replaced with a new Solid State Hard Drive, with no promises that he could save or salvage anything. He was so apologetic but it needed to be done. He not only put in the new hard drive, he saved everything and I mean EVERYTHING. We are so grateful. He even worked late in the evening to get this finished for us and again on the Sunday. Brilliant service, he certainly knows his stuff. I can highly recommend this business and if you have any computer problems, this is definitely the place to come. Thank you very much. Barbara & Richard.

I had a problem with my iMac. Took it to apple and the said the memory board needed replacing and owuld cost about £600. I spoke to Martin at Computaplace and booked in a time for him to have a look. Turns out that wasn't the problem at all and was just files from an update that were in the wrong place. Fixed within 2 days and I had a fully working computer again without the huge bill. Without question would go back!
