Dropped in to this box yesterday for the first time due to having to work in London. Great coaching from Brian on both technique and stretching. Facilities / equipment were great also. Will definitely go back again if opportunity arises.

Customer service is appalling. My advice: never make advance payments. Otherwise you will get into arguments when it comes to contracts.

Skip this box, there are plenty of them around London that will treat you better and with respect. I've done cross fit all over the world and always have had a positive experience until I was meet by coach Lilly who was rude, not helpful and had no intentions to make a simple process of signing up for a class difficult. It would take 3 minutes at any other cross fit, but instead I was patronized and told to come back later. Definitely not coming back.

Great for beginners and advanced athletes... The way the coaches structure the programs and the WODs are fantastic. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere in the gym. I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Although the room was daunting at first, the coaches take you through each and every move, making it as simple as possible. THis made it a worthwhile and even enjoyable experience. I was very impressed with the information at the lectures and the workouts were a massive buzz! I cannot wait to get started next week!!

Gym is a decent size, has good coaches but old equipment. The management / membership team are extremely difficult to deal with. What should be a simple back end function to allow you access becomes such a hassle it's not worth going to the gym. Painful

Before taking the foundations course I had toured the gym and watched countless cross fit videos online, most of which scared the crap out of me. However as we got started I realized that any of the moves can be scaled to any level and that I was capable of a lot more than I originally thought. The coaches are great and the atmosphere is full of support and motivation. I cannot wait to start training and hopefully I will notice some changes along the way

Don’t do a drop-in here!!!! In May I „attended“ 2 drop-ins at CFCL; day 1 was ok, day2 no coach showed up to even open the box! Until today I did not get (after at least 10 attempts, messages and emails) my previously transferred drop-in fee back! Both, no shows for coaches at classes and no refund are extremely unprofessional.

Just completed the Foundation weekend course - fantastic ! The weekend was well structured and informative with the coaches taking time to explain & break down the various parts of the course in detail. If you're curious about Crossfit go and see Brian and the team and you won't be disappointed ! Can wait to attend my 1st classes this next week !

Awesome gym, master trainers, cannot wait to see results!!! The information that we all got at the foundations course was phenomenal. Great emphasis on technique, the mindset behind CrossFit and also the nutritional information was a gem. Thanks for Brian, Naama and Marlin for all your help!!

It's tough going (as it should be!) but the instructors are really helpful and make you feel welcome. You can scale your exercises to work well towards your goals. Much more interesting than heading to a boring gym everyday!

Not great, I have done few drop-ins which I've expected to be a decent workout for £15/session- they were not. Probably the least challenging WODS I've done out of all numerous crossfit boxes I've tried. After most of attended days, I have gone to my gym for "top-up" the workout. One day the wod was 6 x 800m run on the busiest morning rush hour streets, in which point I've asked the trainer: was it all for £15/session today? Coach called Stevie (I think) was rude and told me If I know better I should get out of here and continue going my gym then....Needles to say I've not gone back. Gym itself is ok, bit tired and facilities are not the best, but I've not expected fitness club luxury and high tech. Is the attitude of the trainers and low set bar for WODS which made me never go back to this particular box. Saying this there are great Crossfit places nearby, so luckily this should not be the only option when one want to train hard in the capital.

Amazing! Go now don't delay! I have just finished a foundation course with Brian and his excellent team of coaches. If you have been to a normal so to speak gym before, leave your misconceptions at the door. I have never really had any real success going to a high street gym and have never found them to be any real support in helping the "everyday" man achieve their goals. Many seem more interested in getting your money and leaving you to it or charging you loads extra for personal training! Cross fit Central London is completely different! The foundation course is both tiring and inspiring! Brian and the other coaches are excellent at explaining everything from lifting techniques to how to eat properly. If you are not an iron man don't be put off. I am currently not too fit and found the course majorly inspiring! I did things I never thought I could do like handstands, proper lifting like you see on tv and many other activities. Don't be put off if you are not too fit as everything is scalable so you get an excellent workout whatever your level of fitness. Additionally the gym has a lovely, friendly atmosphere where you don't feel silly asking questions when you are a novice. I was paired with a other people at different times of the day, often who were fitter than me. Normally I find this a bit uncomfortable but they were brilliant encouraging me and making the whole place feel like somewhere you want to be! Thanks as well to the other people on the course! You were a lovely bunch of people! Another review says it has got to be the premier fitness venue in London. Cannot agree more! Brilliant for all! Not just the extremely fit people looking to take it to the next level (there are plenty of those people in the CLCF gym! Lots of amazing bodies!) Got more one to one coaching on the foundation course than I have in years of going to a high street gym! Check it out you won't be disappointed. Thanks to everyone at Crossfit Central London for changing my whole perspective on fitness. An inspirational place to train and really fun and different! A place for elite athletes and the everyday man/woman looking to improve their fitness and well being!

Just completed the CrossFit foundations course here. I was initially pointed towards this box by a friend who had taken the trainers course here... I now know why. The trainers were friendly, knowledgable and wanted to ensure that your technique was as close to perfect that it could be. I've been a regular goer of a standard gym for quite a few years now and was getting bored. Here I immediately felt like I'd found myself. No headphones, everyone doing the same thing and pitching themselves against the whiteboard, you can scale it to your capability. I would definitely recomment CrossFit Central London and for me now, I can't wait to see the results.

I just finished my Foundation course. 10 hours of some amazing coaching! Getting fit is something I've wanted to do for a long time but even though I've been going to the gym I've found it hard to honestly push myself. This has made progress really slow. Even though we didn't even use any weights during the Foundation, in two days I was already pleasingly more achy than I have ever been at the gym. I actually felt like I'd gotten somewhere. Being able to actually measure my progress is something I'm going to really enjoy. One of the main things that attracted me to CrossFit was the fact that it's getting you fit for any eventuality. I teach Wing Tsun Kung Fu and so this is something that I try to educate my students on in my classes. You need to train to face any and all challenges - this makes CrossFit the perfect fit. The last thing I'd say about CrossFit Central London is that the coaches were amazing. Hugely knowledgeable and fantastic motivators. They clearly love what they do and have the skill to get you loving it just as much. Having someone there to lead/push you through the movements to achieve your full potential is invaluable. If you're on the fence about coming along, I implore you to jump in and give it a go!

The singular worst gym experience of my life, bar none. I was a dancer all my life, then did boxing, finally Crossfit. Due to injury, I haven't trained at all for 5 years. I feel ready to exercise again, but, I'm nowhere near fitness, and I'm not massively supple either. I've been to 2 Crossfit gyms in the past, both welcoming, and, considerate of the level that you're at. This place is not welcoming. Walking into these places can be daunting to the uninitiated, but I've got previous experience, I thought it would be fine, not so. The instructor who was in the office was frosty, but a lovely guy did show me to the changing rooms. So, first thing, you sign 'waivers' in advance to say that they're not responsible for anything, i.e., theft, injury etc, but firstly, they don't provide lockers. That's a first for me, there were bags and handbags left everywhere. When I asked where I should leave my bag, that contained valuables, I was told that if I was 'so precious about it', then I could leave it in the office, which I did .... just rude. Meanwhile, everyone had left the gym. I was told to go left out of the gym, then left again. Like a previous reviewer, I had no idea where everyone had gone, so I wandered around before going back in, realising that everyone had run round the block. I managed to do the first exercise, which was lunges, but it was pointed out that I needed to touch my back knee to the ground. At this stage, I'm a beginner, and it was a beginners class, I needed to do things at my own pace and level. The next exercise was impossible for me, it would have taken me double the time to do what everyone else had done in a few minutes. When I said that I couldn't do it, the atmosphere was akin to if I'd said that I was going to sell the instructors first born. She almost barked 'Why?' at me. I told here it was a long story, meanwhile, they'd started another exercise, which I couldn't do. Once again I said it was too hard, it all seemed way harder than 'Beginners'. The other instructor told me that there was no physical reason why I couldn't do it, and it was fear that was stopping me. Er, no, I know my limitations, I couldn't even get into the position to do the 'walking press up', let alone cover the whole length of the gym! It was all so hostile, and I felt like I was holding up the others, even though I was told that I wasn't. After more 'discussion' and being told again that I was 'fearful', rather than incapable of doing the exercises, I walked out. None of it was 'encouraging', it was like army drills. If I'd carried on and allowed myself to be pushed beyond my current abilities, then I know that I would have got injured. I'm not fearful, I listen to my body. Don't worry though, you sign a waiver for that, making sure that the responsibility for injury isn't theirs. I'm sure that there's no love lost on either side, but I have no idea how this place survives .... never, ever again.

I joined CFCL for one month while in London for business from Miami. The facility is amazing and the coaching staff is outstanding, displaying the utmost professionalism. Specifically, I had the good fortune to work with and receive instruction from coaches Brian, Karl, Jenna, Stevie, Kim, and Lily. In addition to putting me through my paces with challenging wods, each of these coaches treated me as a valued member of their amazing community! They were closed one weekend while I was in town, but I had access to the Vauxhall location and found it to be just as high a quality a facility with an equally dedicated team of coaches. It is worth mentioning as well that the member community at CFCL is also amazing. All the members I had met were extremely friendly and welcoming. My only regret is that I didn't have more free time while in London to check out the oly lifting, mobility, and strength bias wods offered!

Wow! Just completed my foundation course...I am sore but really looking forward to getting stuck into the propgrams. Crossfit Central London was welcoming and it was refreshing to be in a work out space that does not focus on having a perfect body but rather focussing on being genuinely fit. great stuff!

I've just completed my Foundation course at this gym over the last two days. Crossfit is difficult - at times I seriously felt like walking out the door but it does push you, safely, beyond what you thought your limits were. The two main Coaches - Bryan and Naama - were excellent, friendly, patient and didn't expect us to get all the exercises right the first time. My only downsides were that some of the secondary coaches were a little hesitant and unclear about what they were asking for - something echoed by my fellow attendees. Other secondary coaches were however precise, listened when I told them how I was feeling and offered really good feedback and drilling, and praise when you got something right. It's a mixed bag. One other piece of feedback is that, as one Ewer street entrance was closed at the time I attended Foundation, was to add a BIG FAT NOTE AND DIAGRAM ABOUT HOW TO FIND THE PLACE to the preparation email.

This is not a welcoming box for out of town Crossfitters. I was visiting from California, have been a Crossfitter for 2 years, and I’ve been to quite a few other boxes. This place is hard to find and is on a private road that even the locals don’t recognize. I was left behind the others in the warm-up run and spent 10 minutes trying to find the gym again. The coach was not “on the clock” when I arrived so did not respond to introductions. Others in the class were into their own game and not interested in helping out. I would recommend the Crossfit SE11 London box as a much better alternative – easier to find and close to the Vauxhall tube stop. They have terrific coaching and friendly people. I had a much better experience there!

I dropped in at CFCL from the U.S. on the last leg of my trip through Ireland and England. I've visited numerous international Crossfit gyms in the past and several on this trip. All of my drop in experiences have been fantastic - until CFCL. Registering for a class online is complicated and confusing, especially if you're just working from a mobile phone. While the members were friendly, the coach was unwelcoming, inflexible and downright rude. He harassed my boyfriend and me mid-WOD, claiming we hadn't yet paid for the class (we had) and that he wouldn't allow us to continue until we proved to him we had paid. Mind you, this exchange took place in front of the other members. He finally left us alone after we showed the confirmation emails, but the whole to-do left a sour taste in my mouth and pretty much ruined the workout for me.

I've just finished a two day Foundation course at Crossfit Central London with Brian and his team. To say in shattered is an understatement BUT I am massively excited at the prospect of a long Crossfit love ahead of me. Brian and his team took their time and experience to show us what we should be doing from Squats, Presses, deadlifts, Handstands, Muscleups, Olympic Lifting and my favourite Nutrition. I wholly recommend this place if you want to live a better, fitter, stronger life. The inspiration coming out of here is immense.
