What a fantastic, trustworthy garage! Spent a while searching for a second hand car, visiting various garages in Bristol and further afield. Ended up buying from Staple Hill. Darren was lovely, no hard sell, answered all our questions. Paperwork and all the admin was very professional. The car was exactly as described and in amazing condition. Waited for a few weeks before posting the review in case anything went wrong - it didn't (but I have no doubt that they would have sorted it out under their warranty). Highly recommended.

Having been recently stung by a dealer in the Midlands, we were seriously wary about buying from another dealer closer to home - although still 2 hours away. However, I took the chance and called and spoke to Peter on the Monday evening about a car seen on Auto Trader. He was very reassuring, ventured outside to give the car a once over whilst on the phone to me and was happy to honestly answer any queries. We decided to look at the car the following morning and called to let them know when we were on the way up - we were told that they'd ensure the car was held until we got there. Peter gave us the key and left us alone to give the car a look over in our own time, before offering us a test-drive. No pressure and, since we were unfamiliar with the area, he also recommended a test drive route. We took the car out and liked it, and said we were keen to make our minds up whilst in Bristol. We were told to take our time, don't worry and even told there was a nice little cafe down the road if we wanted to have a chat about it over a coffee. We chatted for a couple of minutes and decided to buy. We put down a deposit and arranged to collect the car on the Sunday. We were called later in the week to let us know the car now had a fresh MOT and that they'd see us Sunday. Collected the car on the Sunday and have been enjoying it ever since. Can't rate the service highly enough, this is what good old-fashioned customer service is like. I would happily contact them again in future for another car - well worth the 2 hour drive and has restored my faith in car dealers!

The service I got from the team (especially Peter) was excellent. He gave me the key and left me alone to give the car a look over in my own time, before I set off on a test-drive again on my own. No pressure to buy. Came to a fair agreement on a PX and the whole process was smooth and simple So thank you Peter and all staff at Staple Hill Motor Company, I would recommend this garage.

Located in Fishponds, this dealer may not offer the flashiest cars in town, but certainly had some attractive options in place, one of which I purchased. The on site dealer was well mannered and patient. The condition of the cars was decent with a thorough examination of the car made before taking it out for a test. A good deal was reached and it was prepared for me to pick up the next week.

Just px our car with Pete at Staple hill motors for a lovely mini , after 2 viewings and a test drive on our own it was a no brainer to deal with them Highly recommended them and will deal with them in the future Up date from earlier review about 2 weeks ago we found that the the car now know as Daisy had a leak we checked the car regular but over the bank hols it got worse I called Pete and he got us to return Daisy and promptly had it fixed by having the thermostat replaced within 3 hours As my other half is a key worker this was essential so once again Pete thanks for a top service see you soon

Bought our second CMax from these guys - really helpful without any pressure to buy. 6 month warranty and after service care was fantastic - took it back for a few minor niggles and they couldn't do more to help us! Honoured the warranty even though the niggles weren't mechanical. Would buy our next car from them without hesitation and have recommended them to friends. Genuinely excellent.

Picked up my first car today, great place to buy. Just the right size dealer to get a nice quality service and a good range of vehicles with a family feel. The staff were very happy to let my partner and I look around, all the cars open so easy for taking a good look. Peter and the team were really friendly. Not pushy at all. I was able to arrange a test drive same day. Once I agreed to buy, small touches on the car were taken care of. New MOT arranged. Great presentation and most importantly really good deals and an honest service.

I bought a car from these guys 3 months ago and have just had to payout for a new clutch and other parts. When I tried to discuss the 3 month warranty, they said it was invalid as it was ‘sold as seen’ Part exchanged my Toyota Yaris for £200 which they then advertised to be sold for £800. Showed me a 12 year log book when viewing but once bought log book was missing from the car. Come across as friendly but willing to rip off a mother of newborn twins for a quick quid. Avoid

The service I got from this company was amazing especially from a gentleman called Peter.They had a near new car for sale which I seen online.On the Monday 12th August ,I telephoned the garage and spoke to Peter,very well mannered gentleman,he told me all about the car and I said I would not be able to get to the garage until Friday 16th August,he then made the offer of coming to my house with the car,this was a bonus for me and my wife.Arrangements were made for Tuesday 13th August between 1-2 pm when Peter would bring the car to my home which was in Whitchurch,I was able to look at the car ,test drived the car,PX was arranged on my car with Peter there and then,deposit given.Peter then went out his way and delivered the car and paperwork that same evening,balance paid,new car in my garage.This was all done in twenty four hours and I did not leave the house.This is what I call service.So thank you Peter and all staff at Staple Hill Motor Company

On arrival at the garage we were expecting the usual sales pounce and pushy approach but this could not have been further from the truth. Neil popped out and had a quick chat with us about the car and then left us to take a look over it. This has to be the first time that we have ever experienced this. Buying a car can be so stressful and this friendly, calm and relaxed approach actually made the whole experience a pleasure. We decided to buy the car and everything went through very smooth from arranging finance, getting a new MOT to collecting the car. Within a week we were back collecting the car from Peter who was also great and very helpful, even recommended a local Italian for us to grab some lunch before our journey home. We would highly recommend.

Called up to book an appointment to look at a car recently advertised on Autotrader.. A gentleman answered and immediately you could tell his customer service skills were little to none..... When I started asking simple questions about the service history I was told in an extremely rude way that he is to busy to answer my questions and if I wanted the car I had to drive down to the garage (which is nearly hour away) and see the car for myself. My partner who was listening in looked at me and we both could not believe what we were hearing???? I gave him the benefit of the doubt and drove down to the garage... Once there we started looking around the car and the chap did not even come out of his office to see if we wanted any assistance or to answer any questions. I went into the office and said hello only to be greeted with a sarcastic remark about calling him buddy???? He threw the key at me and by this point he had pretty much lost the sale.. I looked round the car and to be fair it was very tidy and I wanted it. I asked for the service history where he again just threw me a few bits a paper with some old MOT etc... He did not say a word he was just looking through his personal mail. By this point I was shocked at the lack of respect but the car looked pretty tidy so yet again I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked for a test drive only to be told in a very rude manor that “It’s not that simple” , He told me if I liked the car and I had looked around it I needed to buy it or sort my own insurance out to take it on the road.. Who runs a car sales business and does not let customer test drive the vehicle???? I had been to 9 garages in 2 days and not one of them said I could not test drive the car!!! Because of his what can only be described as an horrendous attitude and complete lack of any interpersonal skills he lost a sale!! NEVER EVER buy a car from this place!! All my car friends have also been told to stay clear.

Came with a faulty door which they failed to disclose, spent 3 weeks with them before finally fixed, before buying they said it was fine to use local garage for repairs but instead had to drive it over an hour each time, refused refund, couple of weeks after another part fell off. Can't be bothered to go through warranty. Probably going to get a response like the others where they cannot accept responsibility, shame really because they seemed genuine in person. It looks as if other people are having the same issue where the car already comes with problems.

My partner recently purchased a Vauxhall Corsa from the car dealer, everything seemed ok. She drove the car away and within a 90 minutes the car had a leak and the inside was soaked through, called the garage who didn't offer any explanation and just said they could have a look but wouldn't repair or offer any other assistance, I understand second hand cars can have problems but to sell one with a known fault and have an issue so soon after purchase is very bad practise, any future buyer be careful. Rang twice in the same day, first to ask if they still had the car and for more details, they said yes they still had it etc, all was good, then rang again to say we're leaving to come and view the car, only took 20 mins to get there, within that time he sold it knowing full well we were on our way and didn't let us know so wasted a trip!

i purchased a car from here and shortly after the cambelt snapped and damaged 12 valves. the garage has refused to repair it even though the cambelt was over its recommended mileage. On initial purchase they informed me that they had changed it but obviously have not, they are now stating that they offered a change on purchase which is also incorrect. The repair costs are £2000 and they accept no responsibility. On the phone call they were very threatening

I had my car for 5 days and some thing went wrong with the car???? so ask for it to be fixed but I needed a car to get a round which they said that was no problem and they will give me a call when there lone car comes back in ,I am still waiting and now it's been 3 months and still waiting for a call ???? . Ps I have phoned 4 times and they keep on saying that there car still not in???? Reply to reply Loan Car was unsafe clutch was slipping and brakes was not right if you are still giving this car out to your customers it say a lot about you .
