If you drive a modern vehicle, sure take your car to them as they are very meticulous as to what they put in their MOT report.
I have a Japanese sports car that is nearly 25 years old. The steering wheel was badly corroded and had to be replaced but because the car is rare it is difficult and expensive to get a new or good used one so it was reaced with a sports steering wheel which meant the drivers airbag was removed too.
Even though the airbag light does not illuminate when the car is started, they failed it on this point because and I quote "because the passenger side has one we assume there should be one on the drivers side" I explained the situation and I was told I have to replace the steering wheel with a stock one within 10 days and bring it back to get retested. Currently, shipping from Japan takes 4 weeks minimum so I'm not getting a retest from them

Although I personally had to wait around an hour when I visited I appreciate this is because of the increase in MOT demand since the covid MOT scheme. Aside from the wait the customer experience here is better than any other MOT centre I have been to. During the test my cars battery unfortunately died, and the centre jumped it and continued to leave the car running as to not let it die again with no fuss. The advisories the car had after the test were clearly explained, and a run down of what could result from them was given. The price of the MOT was £45 which is slightly higher than the average I have found however I will certainly be returning.

Great service, no hidden agenda as they only do MOTs, and would recommend.
Arrived at 8am on the dot and there were around 10 cars in front of me. This current busyness is due to people coming to the end of their Covid MOT extensions, so more people need done all at once. I already expected this and was told how long the wait might be. This was fairly realistic as these guys know their stuff. If you can't wait, then book in elsewhere. You can't expect a drive in facility to be empty just because you've turned up, no matter who you are! Anyone giving 1 star for this are being totally unfair.
Everyone had to sit in their cars until it was their turn next and then could go into the waiting room. This is clean and chairs are spaced out, with hand sanitiser available etc. I felt fine in there. 2 hours from driving in to finish I left with a brand new MOT. To be fair this was shorter than I originally thought, so I was happy. Its not like we can't all while away a couple of hours on our phones these days, is it?!

Very good experience, well organised. There is sometimes a bit of a wait but the fact it is so popular speaks for itself and it is worth waiting. Fair and helpful, have used the centre on three occasions and would wholeheartedly recommend for MOTs.

The lady who dealt with me was very rude!! I arrived today to get a re-test, waited and then the lady took on a bigger job, only to make me wait longer!! I arrived before that person and mine was a smaller job! I had to leave. After my re-test, I will not be going back again... She's needs to get some manners !!!
The company apologied for their behaviour and that was very nice.

Due to backlog of not tests which had been canceled by the government for 6 months . There is a huge backlog the test centres are catch up on. Do at this centre no time slots are offered it's first come. So I went yesterday at 8.10 (opens at 8) 16 cars before me or about a 3 hour wait. Came today at 7.10 first in queue out by ,8.30. very slick well round facility. Highly recommended.

This centre can be busy (which is normally a good sign) but the staff are friendly and helpful and the MOT inspections are performed efficiently. Great service.

I don't know how they work, probably they are the best ones but a customer can't arrange an appointment and has to wait at least 2 hours. I was not lucky and spent 3 and a half. I had to repair something and when I was back had to spend 2 hours more. Redbourn MOT centre is close to a roundabout really far from a coffee or something to drink. They can't abuse of their customers.
Next year I will change centre.

I always go here for my MOT because I trust them to do a fair test. As they do not deal with repairs they have no incentive to create problems to make money. Check for quiet times as they can be busy in peak times.

Only do MOTs - nothing else. So unlike certain other mainstream well known chain garages who provide MOT testing as well as brakes, tyres and exhausts, they aren't going to try and upsell you work on your car that you probably don't need. Also don't need an appointment, just drive up and wait. Friendly, good service. 5 stars

Went in for my annual mot. Service was quick, its a small centre but it was too busy so they took my car in straight away. Waiting area is pleasent, feels very airy with lots of seating, magazines and a coffee machine. Staff were really good, very friendly and talked through the mot results with me really clearly. Would recommend to anyone.
