This was during covid so not a lot of activity and was not super booked but Fantastic experience! Staff was super nice! Kennels were super clean!! Didn’t even smell like dog in there. Reasonable priced. Open early and late. Convenient. Felt great about leaving my pet there. Will be back!

Reasonably priced and friendly staff. The kennel is bare bones. Each dog gets their own run with access to outdoors and an indoor area for the night. People who work here were great with our senior lab who we decided to board at the last minute. They can give medications without extra charge too. My dog spent two nights here as we couldn't find dog friendly accommodations within our budget.

We left our black Lab in the care of Grand Canyon Kennel for two days while we hiked at the park. She was well taken care of by Karin and Alyssa, who even made time to play fetch with her. Although a basic kennel, the place is clean, safe and quiet and has shaded space where the dogs can go out a few times a day. Unlike many kennels, this one has some flexibility on drop-off and pick-up times, which was a nice bonus. This is a great service for visitors to the national park, and the rates are reasonable. We’d use them again.

This place is very reliable and friendly. Anytime my dog's get out I can always find them here, they keep the place warm in thw winter and cool in the summer. Would highly recommend this place for your summer travel plans.

The structure is similar to a shelter, but there is plenty of room in the kennels. The kennels have a door for access to outside. The staff was wonderful! We forgot the bedding for our dogs and the staff had a couple of nice fleece blankets for them. Cheap rates and we did make a reservation. Great way to enjoy vacation with your pets while you ride the train. We are glad they didn’t have to stay in their crates all day.

Safe and secured and welcoming staff. Trusted place to house the pooch, safe from fox tails. Freedom to then take in the biggest glory hole.

At first, I was unsure about leaving my dog. The kennel is very basic. However, there was no smell and everything was clean. The attendant encouraged me to leave my dog's mat, which was elevated off of the floor on a small wooden pallet. Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot for your pet

Rebecca is amazing and truly loves animals. My very nervous rescue dog who does not like being left anywhere actually enjoyed his stay. So appreciative of the great care he was given by Rebecca.

Lola stayed at the kennel while we toured the canyon. I couldn't be happier with her stay. She had a large indoor/outdoor run and Karen and Rebecca could not have been nicer. Very pleased and would recommend.

Dropped off our boys here for a few hours while we enjoyed the area. The amenities are simple, the kennels are small. They do not have bigger kennels for multiple dogs. Our boys shared a kennel which was fine for a couple hours. As this is the only kennel around the park, it works in a pinch. The prices are slightly highschool for what they offer.

Dogs are not welcome in the canyon! We did not know that, but luckily this kennel saved us. A quiet place in the nature. Big cage for the dogs, with access to its own yard. Karin who is working there is very nice and caring towards animals.

Nice kennel with low rates, they play with your dog for almost an hour a day

Dogs are allowed everywhere except on the shuttles and below the rim. They're not exactly welcome in some of the buildings either. But there's lots of places that you can take them and it's actually a reasonably dog-friendly Park. Only use the kennels if you have to.

I've used this kennel twice, 2015 and 2016, while I go for a run down into the canyon. My dog has stayed there overnight and gets picked up early afternoon the next day. Both times there have been no issues and everything has gone well. I will definitely use the kennel again this year.

We brought our pups last week for the day to familiarize them with the facilities and staff as we have never kenneled them before. That experience was wonderful. Eric was very kind, showed this worried dog mom around and assured me my pups would be just fine once I was gone. I brought them back for this weekend and Eric remembered thier names and they were excited to see them. He allowed me to make my pups comfortable. However, when we returned, our dogs had gone to the bathroom in the kennel. It was all over them and their bedding. This leads me to believe they were not let out, and then paid no attention to, to even be cleaned. This not only breaks my heart as my pup are well trained and would only do that out of desperation, but they don't deserve to be forced to live and sleep in it. If I ever bring my pups back here it will only be for day trips and only Friday and Saturday while Eric is on watch.

We knew going in, that like on 99% of NPS parks, Grand Canyon didn't allow dogs on the trails. Just too destructive and disruptive to local wildlife, and that's reasonable. The guy working the kennel when we dropped off and picked up our pit bull was, as expected, an animal lover. Got along great with our dog, and we felt fine leaving our dog with him during our 10 hour hike.

We used the kennel today for our two (large) dogs. I couldn't be happier. The dogs each had a large kennel withboth an indoor and outdoor space seperated by a doggy door. There is also a large yard for the dogs to run and play. Pro tip: take a comfort item or two for your pup. You can leave doggy beds, blankets, toys even their favorite food or treats. We WILL be using the kennel EVERY time we visit the canyon. I would give this place 10 stars if i could.

We brought our dog here while we hiked the South Kaibab Trail. You need proof of rabies vaccination, Bordetella and the para viruses. The dogs are kept in spacious cages however they are not allowed to interact with each other which is normal for kennels in national parks. You can bring your dogs own dog bed or toys. Each dog is let out every hour and a half in the yard to use the restroom. Decent place to leave your dog if you’re going on hikes during the day. Day stay is about $22.50 which is a very reasonable price.

A bit old and dingy but the attendants are great.

The dogs are caged individually, but the staff is really nice and they are let out into the play yards many times throughout the day.
