Iconic venue. Here to see an iconic band. Busted. Perhaps not as logically laid out as the Camden Underworld (ignoring the massive pillar in the mosh pit). By which I mean the stage is the same level as the dancefloor, so could be difficult for shorter people not at the front to see the band. I still enjoyed the venue.

Saw David Devant and his spirit wife with two support bands. Great night at the legendary club. This what music clubs are meant to be - up close to great music. The back in history toilets need sorting though.

great little intimate music venue, but toilets could be better maintained

Great historic, iconic West End popular music venue. One of the last - if not the last - historic venue following the closure of the Borderline. It's a bit _'spit and sawdust'_, metaphorically speaking of course, but it still plays host to many great bands and solo artists

A great little music club downstairs in a block on Oxford Street. It smells like a music club, sounds like a music club and serves poorly stored beer in plastic glasses so it is DEFINITELY a music club. Up and coming rock and blues acts, sound-a-likes and once-weres (that sounds better than has-beens doesn't it?). Appropriately disgusting toilets and surprisingly friendly staff...

Iconic, friendly little club on Oxford St. Could spend an hour just looking at the photos of a fraction of the acts that have performed here over the years.

Great venue to see David Devant & His Spirit Wife. So friendly, happy for you to pop out and in as often as you like. Great door staff. Very helpful. Loved it.

Spacious premises quite suited to the swing dance event I attended. But the graffiti in the gents loos rather lowered the tone.

Great club. Small. Handy for transport. Floor was swimming in beer - some sort of plumbing issue may be? ????

Great venue. Easy to get up close and personal to the band playing. Not that big but well worth visiting. Check the listings as there are a lot of great bands playing there. Highly recommend. Very easy to get to as well.

Great intimate live music venue. The elongated shape of the room means you are never far from the stage. There are bars at either end of this elongated selling bottled and craft beers on tap (no cask). The toilets are either side of the bar to the left. Do not come here expecting fineries though the cloak and bar staff are polite and efficient. The cloakroom will cost you £2, but as it gets very hot down there (especially at the Bad Manners gig I was at) it is well worth it. You will have a brilliant night here.

Great layout so it's easy to get a good view of the stage. Quick service at the bar and interesting and amusing graffiti on the bog walls to read while having a pee.

Great place for live music, until the place sells out, then you can't use the dancefloor as intended. Still a great place and well worth the money.

Great small venue and still pulls in legendary bands (Wedding Present tonight). Has a good selection of beers on tap, including an oatmeal stout. Can't go wrong!

Good venue, but with all the money they make they could at least repaint the loos and put an air freshener in...it's like in trainspotting????

We saw the Lancashire Hotpots here - the gig was awesome with a great crowd and atmosphere, the drinks were reasonably priced and served quickly, the staff were friendly and helpful, the toilets were clean and had good graffiti on the walls, it's a good open space so it's easy to find stuff inside, and the location is central and convenient with good transport links.

Iconic venue. Quite big but with a good layout. The last I went I saw Daddy Long Legs who were great. I had a really good time. The music was great. I got drunk with my friends and struggled to get home :)
