Michael provides both a very personal & professional service
and is still able to maintain that personal touch...
His Mechanics are both very experienced and knowledgeable; as is Michael himself..
They empathise with you as car owner, work around your schedule, and always advise on repair costs beforehand.
They were able to diagnose and resolve the airbag warning light on the dashboard; which involved the removal of steering wheel, and the replacement of defective cable/circuitry which had become ‘open circuit’ – all this at a very reasonable price.
two years later, my car is still working perfectly :)
Their Surgically clean Garage environment, equipped with modern diagnostic facilities reflects their work ethics

Wouldn't normally write a bad review but had such a bad experience.
Took my car for a full service and MOT. Within a week it was broken down on the side of the motorway with two problems: 1) a completely worn out cam belt and 2) a major coolant leak. When I brought it for the service the warning light for the coolant was on but I was told that it was a misreading sensor and not to worry about it.
The recovery mechanic and the BMW mechanic (in the BMW garage I took it straight to) both couldn't believe that these problems could have been overlooked when I had only had a full service and MOT done the previous week. Both were shocked, felt that this was negligent and that both problems could have been easily spotted by any mechanic.
The impression I got was that the mechanic running the garage is good and knowledgable, but that he's not there much. That might explain why there's such a big gap between the good and bad reviews.

Thank you Hackney Service Centre for fitting me in at the drop of a hat. Investigated the reason for the engine light coming an and found the problem in an instant! Had a problem with a fuel pipe and they identified and fixed it quickly at a good price. Also had MOT done here at the same time. They were very trustworthy, honest, easy to talk to and diagnosed the problem on the phone. The place is very modern, clean and more like a car showroom that a greasy garage. Will come here again in the future without fail, nice to finally find an honest reliable garage. Thank you!

First ever time leaving a review, and that's how much I was impressed by Michael and his team at Hackney Service Centre. The work was undertaken timely and efficiently. A breakdown of costs was given point by point and explained alongside diagnostic results before any payment was given. Transparency is extremely important with matters like this and I can't recommend them enough.

Really good guys, very trustworthy. I went to them a couple months ago as i thought my pipes were blocked for the widescreen wash. The owner was in a rush to get to pick up his kid but stayed to quickly fix it. Figured out it was actually just they had been chewed up by mice and fixed it - didn't even want to take any money for it. Ive been back for MOT and full service and they are just really nice guys, not a typical mechanics that want to fleece you. Great place and will stay using them while i live in the area.

I'm new to the area so didn't have an established garage that I knew I could trust. I chose Hackney Service Centre based on the google reviews and was very impressed. My car was in for two days and Michael was extremely helpful, calling me regularly to keep me informed on progress. He didn't push to make me have extra work done but pointed out some of the things that I might need to look out for over the next few months. He was very transparent about pricing. He spent fifteen minutes with me when I picked up my car, talking about work that I'd had done previously, discussing my car and common faults (it's quite an old car with v. high mileage). The price was good including a discount on the MOT as a first time customer and an offer to replace bulbs over the next year until my next service. I would highly recommend this garage.

I very rarely write reviews but I just had to for the service I received from Michael. I had a strange fault with my car and most of the other garages in the area didn't want to know. I rang Hackney Service Centre and they were brilliant. It wasn't the easiest of jobs, but they found the fault and fixed the car quickly. Don't bother ringing the other local garages, Hackney Service Centre rocks.
