Paul is the best teacher I have ever had. I have always felt there was a big block in my voice and connecting to myself that I struggled to release. I’ve had lessons with many different teachers but never getting the results I was searching for. Now I can finally sing with so much more openness, relaxation and ease thanks to Paul. I also really love the way he teaches, his style, the notes he makes, the recordings of the exercises, but mostly his heart- he truly cares and I feel it. There is so much more to learn and I am excited. I leave after every lesson feeling so so so uplifted. I am eternally grateful to have met Paul and to learn from him.

Paul has been teaching our 11 year daughter piano for a year now even through lockdown via Zoom. She really enjoys her weekly lesson and is learning some amazing music.

Paul is brilliant! I have found him wonderfully supportive in helping me with my vocal development, piano playing, songwriting and performing. He has a wealth of experience but is also a very warm and genuine person who is determined to get the best out of you. Paul is enthusiastic and encouraging but will also challenge you when needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone wishing to develop as a singer or musician. Richard Lewis

I started lessons with Paul as a 60 year old guy who had never a sung a right note knowingly, and was too embarrassed to sing in public. After some three months of working with Paul I was singing and playing guitar with friends and had managed to perform a couple of songs to real audiences. Paul is simply a great teacher. He has a wealth of musical knowledge and expertise that he uses to help me overcome my singing hurdles and, perhaps most importantly, to build my confidence. His lessons are cleverly structured, but Paul is also very flexible in terms of song choices and he has the skills and understanding to find ways to get me singing stuff I thought I never could. We have fun, but not a second is wasted, and I find his notes and recordings really support my own learning between our sessions. What I really like about Paul is that right from the very start I've been made to feel that we are on a journey to make me be the best singer I can possibly be. He won't let me be second best or "cop out", but at the same time he knows exactly what needs to done when I'm beginning to struggle. I'm now into my second year with Paul. The lessons are still challenging, exhausting and uplifting. I feel I take a real step forward after every session. I'm even beginning to enjoy and feel good about my own singing! Whatever your level, Paul will be able to help you become the best singer you can and want to be. It was a great pleasure to write this-thank you so much Paul. I have been singing with Paul for over a year and a half now, and I absolutely love our lessons. Paul has taught me so much about my voice and really enabled me to gain so much confidence in my abilities. We have done so many different genres of music, from operatic to blues! I love that he has the equipment to record your lessons, before learning with him, I had never heard myself sing. Paul is a great teacher and also such a kind soul, he has many great stories to tell, and every week we have a laugh. Our lessons are something I always look forward too. I couldn't recommend him enough! Thanks Paul! x

Abt 12 months ago I decided to invest some time & effort doing something I’d always wanted. I love singing. Not in a group, not for X Factor or for anyone else - just for me. I looked at a few web sites for vocal coaches in my area and found they all looked a but “crusty” & boring. I extended my net a little further & found Paul’s web site. His personality shone through as someone who I felt I could relate to so I made the call. A year or more later I’m still attending Paul’s sessions weekly. I feel my confidence has grown, my enjoyment of singing has reached further than I’d ever expected and I’ve had the added bonus that the singing exercises have helped my breathing which, as an asthma sufferer, is fantastic. Paul is firm but still fun. He has taught me techniques which bring out a richness in my voice. He blows my mind with his own skills & ability which can only be found in someone with a gift for all aspects of music and a whole lot of experience under his belt. And best of all he’s honest & fun. I can’t tell you how much I love my singing lessons with Paul. All I can say is make the call - it really will be worth it. PS I find him very caring!!!

Paul has been teaching me the piano and singing and both together for over a year. He is an excellent teacher, full of warmth and perceptive insights about how I can improve and enjoy my music experience. I feel that he is teaching me more than just the skills and technical aspects of singing. I am also learning about how to relax and increase in confidence. He is always positive and offers encouragement even when i have been lazy with my practice. I would definately recommend him to anyone for both piano and singing lessons.

I have been taking lessons from Paul for 3 years and wish it had been 10. I simply think of a song I'd like to do and Paul creates an arrangement to suit my piano and voice capabilities. And then coaches me in both to develop an end result which I am more than happy with. The lessons are fun, and his wealth of experience makes him an inspiring teacher (and a good raconteur!)

Paul is a wonderful teacher and a lovely, lovely man which is exactly what you need navigating the sometimes awkward and challenging process of (un)learning to sing. His lessons are a joy and best of all, extremely effective. In just a few months my voice and the confidence to use it have improved way beyond my expectations. I couldn't imagine a better accomplice on this journey!

I learnt to sing as an 11year old and never kept it up until I decided at 35 to sing again and I discovered Paul Sand. I’ve been seeing him regularly for over 7 years and we have built up a whole repertoire of songs we perform together in his studio, from Adele to Stevie wonder. Paul Sand Singing Lessons would suit any age, gender and level of ability from beginners to professionals. If You need to sing or want to learn to sing and Perform, I can recommend Paul Sand without any doubt is the chap to see.

Paul is a fun and inspiring singing teacher. He helped put me at my ease very quickly after a nervous and self-conscious start on my part! I thought I was too old to start singing again and that my voice had probably seized up due lack of use. Paul however thought differently! Over just six lessons he has helped me find my voice again and rediscover my love of singing. Lessons have been interesting and entertaining, added to by Paul’s ability to weave interesting stories and tales between ‘takes’. I highly recommend Paul as a singing teacher to anyone who wants to take up singing. He is a patient and optimistic teacher who never gives up on you and an all round lovely man.

I took classes from Paul four years ago. He gave me exercises, and although I noticed improvements I then felt pain and experienced voice loss very quickly. I don't blame him for that, as it could well have just been my execution of those exercises that was causing the problems. What I do blame him for, though, is the fact he went out of his way to avoid my calls after I told him of my problem. Clearly he didn't want to accept any responsibility, so he dropped me. Very uncaring behaviour for a teacher. I don't recommend him at all.

I have been going to Paul Sand for 2 years since I was 13 because a friend recommended him. I was fed up with my previous piano lessons as they were repetitive and unproductive, preparing for piano grade exams which I found stressful. Paul immediately asked me what I wanted to get out of lessons so I told him I wanted to improve my piano skills, learn to sing and to compose my own songs. Lessons were longer which means we get more done and fortnightly which works better for my school schedule. Paul is a very relaxed teacher, a colourful character who is always positive and encouraging about my work. He works really hard to give me exercises to develop my skills and thinks carefully about what I would enjoy and benefit from. It is really fun looking up my favourite songs on Youtube with him and learning to find the notes and chords by ear as well as singing and playing together. My confidence in singing has improved due to Pauls teaching of breathing and other skills. He has also taught me to improvise and how to write my own songs. I am now learning my GCSE piano performance piece with him for next year. He is a great teacher who I really like and can recommend highly to anyone.
