Have only tried their food on lockdown and did not disappoint. The best takeaway / delivery food and service there is in our opinion.
The food quality is amazing and is priced very well. You get so much food and so great quality for a reasonable price. Now our new favourite and have ordered a few times already.

Excellent bottomless brunch. Went here for a bday treat. We both loved it. Great variety of dishes in the set menu which you can reorder at no extra cost. You also get a choice of main meal and a dessert platter. The staff were very nice and friendly. The venue was also really good. Very sleek and modern looking.

Absolutely brilliant meal. Could not fault a single thing. Went during Eat Out to Help Out. The place was well set up for social distancing, felt very clean, and had plenty of hand sanitizer. All the staff, and chefs, wore masks. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, but not in your face either. Service was super efficient and friendly. 4 of us went for the premium tasting menu and it was insanely good. One of our party was vegan, and the staff helped her build a selection of dishes that would arrive roughly around when the rest of us would get our food.
We enjoyed some delicious wines with our meal as well. The whole evening was spectacular.

Great experience having the 15th Anniversary tasting menu. Service was great and food was amazing. The subtle flavours really come through. The wagyu dish was my least favourite as the seaweed was a bit too chewy, compared to the other dishes which were very light and delicate. The black cod and broccoli dishes were the best

Really good ingredients in an amazing mix of flavours. Service is 13.5% but it delivers the extra.
We had the brunch and totally recommend.
Low points: extremely loud making hard to have a conversation.
Charity included in the bill without asking and service over charity (?).

Not very good experience.
We arrived on a Sunday and went with the brunch menu for £43 pp. Ten starters were supposed to be shared. Instead we only got 7 of them and then suddenly our plates were changed and main dishes were served. The restaurant was not even half full and busy for such disorganized service. So do pay attention to and count your starters. The edamame beans and pickled vegetables were finally served 1 hour after we arrived at the restaurants, which was supposed to be the first two dishes.
The manager was nice enough to offer complementary starters. But we have already waited too long so we decided just not to pay for the service charge.

A very beautiful restaurant. The dinner was approximately 50 pounds for 1 person, so keep in mind it is quite expensive. The food was good and fresh, during the dinner time. However, I came ones for lunch and ordered the same things from the dinner menu and taste was different. It wasn’t that delicious and fresh as same dishes from dinner menu. Miso soup was tasted bad, or I would say it had no taste at all. Gyoza wasn’t fresh as they make for dinner. For lunch it tasted that they don’t make it fresh and they only heated precooked food in the morning. At least it was tasted like that. I think it is terrible to only heated precooked food for that much money they charge. I don’t know why it was like that, but after that experience I don’t go to that place at least for a lunch because I feel myself like a fool, spending 45 pounds for a lunch, and didn’t get a good quality of food. Service actually was quite good, so I put 4 stars because of the service, and a very good food during dinner time.

Can't recommend Roka Aldwych enough for its elegance, excellent food and service.
Good for business meetings and special occasions - expect to spend a decent amount of money.
The black miso cod is particularly good - delicate and beautifully flavoured.

Excellent Japanese cuisine. I've sampled the lunch, dinner and pre-theatre menus here. All were superb, and incredibly flavourful. The Sake menu is also top notch. Booking is advisable, and don't forget to leave room for the desserts.

Came here for the Han Setto brunch. We booked beforehand but the venue was full so we had to wait 15 minutes past schedule, but I won’t dock any points because the rest of the experience was great. Amazing food and- for a high-end restaurant- a great set menu. Black cod was some of the most delicate fish I’ve ever eaten (this had a surcharge), and I had to double dip on some of the starters (at no extra cost!). Servers were a little over eager with taking empty plates and pouring water, but they were very nice and attentive. Definitely would recommend!

Shockingly bad customer service, really disappointed. I ordered £160 worth of food for my best friend’s birthday. We live nearby and called in for some assistance over the phone as we hoped for some recommendations. The staff had a really negative attitude.
In addition to the attitude, the restaurant advertised a 20% discount which we applied on 3 different devices to work but it didn’t go through. It seems like false advising to us. They were so unhelpful, acted like they just didn’t need the business and just the general experience is awful.
I rarely write google reviews but I felt inclined to for my housemates and my disappointment in this restaurant.

Fantastic food. We came for the pre-theatre menu which was quite reasonable at £45 each. There is plenty of food, and everything very well cooked. Highly recommended if you get the chance to come!

One of my favorites in London, there are plenty of Roka restaurants to choose from around town...the consistency and service is always top notch. These guys are offering a nice mix of Japanese robotaya style food cooked over charcoal with sushi options as well. The soft shell crab and baby back ribs are not be missed, the sauces are sweet, tangy and unique.

We had a lovely experience here. We had 10 small dishes with a choice of main each and a shared dessert. The food was delicious. The service was good except we felt we were let down a bit when we queried drink top ups and about food. The staff sort of gave us funny looks and laughed which was a little bit rude. There is also a higher service charge than I've seen in most places of 13.5%

It was good food, the sushi was pretty pricey but generally good. Their strength is the small tapas style plates and the sushi is almost an appetizer.
The must try is their sashmi "salad" which is very unique and tasty.

Visually stunning, hopelessly disappointing. Menu is pleasing to the eye, with lots of promise. Flavours were ultimately imbalanced, textures flat, and food a letdown.
ROKA needs to pay a visit to Japan to figure out what Japanese food is. The rolls were bastardized versions and a sorry excuse for modern Japanese cuisine, sashimi was excellent but in minute quantities, and the rice bowl was more akin to mildly salted sludge than anything else.
I felt sorry for the truffles that were harmed in the creation of the “hot pot”.
10/10 would definitely not recommend for the discerning foodie.

We had a few items from the menu. The kampachi sashimi with the yuzu truffle dressing is amazing (second picture).
Ordered some sushi/sashimi which wasn't impressive at all, so would not recommend that.
The spinach salad was really good (we asked for extra yuzu truffle sauce and added that to the salad and it made the salad heavenly). Before that it was just 'good'.

We went for a tasting masterclass and ended up staying the entire evening the food was.delicious and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. My friend enjoyed it so much they booked their birthday there.

The restaurant was packed and loud and the staff were clearly very busy so not very attentive. They couldn't described some of the things on the menu, and were out of a couple of things too.
The food itself was good but not as good as I'd expect for the price. All in all, slightly disappointing.

I absolutely loved the place. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere as the service were all so great! I would definitely recommend it for a nice dinner date. Roka's always good at one stage i was going at least two, three times a month.
Thought time time let me add some pictures unfortunately i didnt have enough room this day for the desert platter i will add the picture nex time. But its worth going just for that! Would give this place 6 stars if i could.
