Lovely food and service. Great selection of g&t's. We were sitting on the terrace, as per covid restrictions, with heaters. It's a family favourite for a Sunday roast.

Amazing pies. We were sat outside, they offered us blankets which was a nice touch. The food came quickly & was the best pies we have ever had.

On 7/05/21 I phoned to book a table for two days later. I specified I was coming with children so heater would be appreciated . They said it will be on request but not guaranteed. They also said indoors seat(due to covid) and seat at the garden can not be booked. I went 10 min before the booking time and I was offer the seats at the garden next to people that come with no booking. Basically I felt my phone call was not useful at all. I am grateful to God It did not rain otherwise my celebration would had been a disaster. You have to download Peach pub app. Food wise was excellent. — 5 stars!

I really wanted to love this place because it came highly recommended and was a first meal out since the ease of lockdown, but it was unfortunately a bit of a let down. The positives: really lovely location and very well organised with outdoor seating and blankets! The negatives: the food was so bland- We had Plaice and Fish & chips. The fish was beautifully cooked but just so bland! There was no seasoning at all. Such a shame! I did mention it to the waitress at the end of the meal but she did not seem very bothered and shrugged it off. The service started of well but then deteriorated as the meal went on. All in all an average meal. I would go back for a drink because of the beautiful setting!

Delicious food, with a kind and subtle service. We went with the family for a Friday night dinner, during Corona days. Very safe environment, with polite service and well cooked meals.

No mobile - no service. Was just told I couldn't be served in the garden because they don't take orders at the table. Apparently they aren't able to cope with taking orders at the table, but they do table service for the drinks. They should probably go and ask one of the other pubs in the area how to do this, or maybe go to any European country who have mastered the art of taking an order while they are bussing drinks. They don't care if you can't afford a mobile, if you can't use a mobile, if you have a disability that means you can't use their app/website or if you have a mobile that doesn't allow you to install their app or use their website. No service for you! For some reason they are fine to tell you to go and take a seat, and then will make the effort to walk to the table to tell you they can't take your order. There was only two other tables in the garden at the time. It was 90% empty.

We only had a couple of paints and 3 starters that were very tasty. Plenty of outdoor space in a sort of wood, pet friendly, nice scenery

Really friendly, comfortable pub with great choice of food, good wines and a welcoming atmosphere. They now have coverings on their outside areas which is great if you have a doggy friend in tow. You can also take dogs into the bar area to eat. The staff are super helpful and friendly too. Lots of parking and big garden for the summer months.

Lovely place to come for lots of different reasons. Good for just coffee , or at weekends they do an amazing breakfast. We went there on Easter Monday morning. Sat on the Veranda in the sun. Was perfect. The garden is beautiful. They have a large tippi in the garden, an American silver van for the bar out there & an impressive Bar b Q area too. Garden great for kids to run around too & dogs are welcome too. We also go there for dinner sometimes. Always excellent food & nice surroundings. Service is good too. We've just booked it for our sons wedding reception in the garden, in September. Never disappoints us.

Visited the Fishers for the first time this evening, on a recommendation, and was so pleased. We went to celebrate my wife retiring from work and could not have found a better place. It's a lovely looking establishment and the food was first class and served piping hot, but it was the staff who made the difference. They were all exceptional, from the maître 'd on arrival, through all of the waiters and waitresses, who served both food and drink. They were efficient and very pleaseant the whole evening through and more than happy to help with any requests. We will definitely be going back.

As part of the eat out to help out we visited the fishes. It was not my first visit but I will say the food was as good as the other two visits. I had rump steak, which was excellently cooked medium rare as ordered. Others had lamb ribs and this was also very good and cooked very well. Due to it being busy we didn't sit down to our table until 20 minutes after our booked time, but due to the circumstances tbis can be forgiven. Staff were very helpful. Will return, excellent.

Covid friendly dining, good efficient app to order. Food very good but did seem a little trimmed down during the 'eat out to help out' August incentive. Staff excellent. Eat here whenever we pass by.

Had lunch with my wife today. Excellent and pleasant service. Well organised seating making us (over 70s) feel very safe. The quality of food was first class and the portions huge: so much so that we couldn't face a pudding. Very good value for money. We will be booking again soon.

So much garden dining space, dog friendly outside too. The menu outside differs from inside a little. Good service, we had a 2 yr old who was quite loud at times, but the waitress didn't seem to mind. Great select of food, not all seafood! So fab beef from a London supplier.

We used a QR reader to order from our table. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend this local gem. It's great to wander off the river, through the trees, and cross a few creeks to arrive at this magnificent restaurant.

Had a sunny outdoor lunch here today. You have to order and pay online and the food is delivered to your table. The menu is VERY limited compared to their website menu. Food came really quickly and was really tasty especially the halloumi fries, vegan jackfruit burger and the mascarpone cheesecake.

I hadn't been to the Fishes for years but one look at the new march menu online and I booked! There was so much choice, they were also offering a free starter or pud to get people sampling the menu - we didn't need much persuading. Fantastic fresh bang bang chicken, lovely flavours. Fresh cooked burger and lamb chops, great portion sizes. We really enjoyed the evening, its a dog friendly pub too which made the evening even better! Busy, obviously for locals and newbies alike - I would thoroughly recommend. P.S - the sliver of cheese with coffee/tea option wasn't a sliver - it was just the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner.

Welcome back! Menu smaller perhaps, but more focused. I think outside was always the place to be but now there's a purpose to being outside. Support it if you can.

Booked a late lunch at 2:30pm taking advantage of the groups £10 discount promotion. Unfortunately, this was the last day of the promotion and it seems the pub had been overrun with bookings. It's a shame that we were not informed on arrival that most of the items on the menu were not available, as this was only explained once we had sat down at our table at just before 3:00pm. In fact there were only a risotto, a chicken supreme, veg curry, burger and steaks available. Nevertheless, we ordered a steak and the burger, which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. The steak was black on the outside and overcooked, so was sent back. It took over 20 minutes to bring another steak, which was very tasty but came with the wrong sauce. The burger was a little dry and not well seasoned, and included 2 fried haloumi 'sausages' and an odd sauce. Here's the thing, on ordering, the steak sauces were offered as an option, not an add-on, same as the halloumi, so didn't realise there was an extra charge. We raised our disappointment during and after the meal, when the waiter pointed out that we were getting £20 off the bill anyway. Really! We asked if the manager would care to come over, but he didn't bother. Very disappointing.

My husband and I visited on Friday night. Our first restaurant experience following lock down - this place is great and we dreamed about returning whilst being confined to our home. It was No1 on our list of restaurants to visit. It was so lovely to be out. The experience felt really normal, whilst also being reassuringly controlled. There were a lot of staff, on hand to serve you really quickly, or provide you with some reassurance about a one way system. The safety measures were spot on - they keep you safe whilst not being overbearing. There was also a very helpful front of house manager politely reminding customers of rules when they slipped up - reassuring to others and done in a way that wasn't embarrassing to the customer. We had a burger and lobster. The lobster was spot on. The chips were slightly under cooked but still edible. The server took the feedback well, but we didnt want more - we were stuffed. The Provence rose is excellent, and a great accompaniment to a summers evening. The espresso martini cocktails were also delicious. We loved our evening, it was worth the wait. We will visit again soon. Thank you for being consistently great - wonderful friendly service and tasty food.

I was truly impressed by our meal at the Fishes. More than anything for the straightforward quality of what they turned out. We had potted crab, then calves liver and finished with cheese. The crab and liver are easy dishes to do 'averagely' but what was delivered was next to perfect. The cheese was also a notch above what I was expecting. Overall excellent - we will become regulars as long as they keep up this quality.

The garden is brilliant on a sunny day like today. Unfortunately, the online ordering system is very clunky, and the flyer clearly contradicts the message the staff give you. Staff: order from the online menu. Flyer: if you want to order from the full menu talk to staff. Which one is it?

Popular fashionable place, if a bit pricey. Great location near the meadows and next to the oh so pretty St Lawrence Church. Perfect set up for the rural wedding near a city. Would say the gardens are looking a little tired and need attention. The trees are making it a tad gloomy and the outdoor marquee is looking a bit weather worn. I would give it more stars if the outside facilities were better.
