The zoo itself was exceptional. All of the animals looked happy and healthy. All of the enclosures were well kept. The feeding encounters were my absolute favorite.
The staff at the ticket window could use some additional training in customer service. The lady assumed my husband and I had visited the zoo before and offered little to no explanation about how things worked. She seemed a bit bothered when we asked for further clarification.

Amazing zoo! Kids really enjoyed feeding the giraffes. The zoo is located at quite an altitude and there’s a lot of up-and-down climbing which makes for great exercise. They have strollers for rent which made it easy for us. Lots of kid friendly food as well. Overall: loved it so much that we bought the yearly membership!!

This is hands down one of the best zoo's in the United States. The exhibits are spacious and the animals are LOVED. On multiple occasions I heard the keepers talking to the animals and telling them they love them too.

A really great experience. My daughter and I loved it. Feeding the Giraffes was our favorite part. Love the set up and all the animals. It seems like quite the maze but honestly that made it more interesting. I only had concerns on the size of some of the enclosures. Some just seems too small. Other than that, wonderful experience all around.

Great selection of animals, the zoo has a great layout. Kid can interact with animals, and if is feeding time they can throw some food to feed the different animals. My kids got to feed the meerkat's, giraffes, goats, chickens, fish, and some reptiles. Like I said a really good place to visit with the family. Best family event on CS.

This is the best thing I have done in a year. And I do amazing things all the time. Took kid to Springs for Birthday weekend, last thing, best thing! We will be back!! However, you should not go!! Just send them money and stay home. Amazing experience, nice people and way better than Denver Zoo. You should save gas and save this gem for other folks!! They are very Interactive, understand what a zoo is.

This is the best zoo I’ve ever been to and I live near another nationally ranked zoo! We went when it was snowing so we practically had the park to ourselves. All the animals had indoor enclosures so don’t be dissuaded by bad weather! In fact, it was even better that way because you could get up close to many of the animals!
Of course feeding the giraffes was a highlight, though watch for drool in your hair! Ginger the beaver (happy birthday, Ginger!) was out for a stroll to gather sticks when we went by, and her handler let us pet her and feed her some sweet potato sticks! The views were beautiful even with the snow, it felt like a magical winter wonderland in May!

No wonder why the park is one of the highest rated in the country. One of the best Zoos I've been to in my life. Had so much fun running around to each of the world themes with amazing views of the animals. 10/10 make time to go.

Had an amazing experience!. Well worth the time. The views of all exhibits, the view of the city where Phenomenal. It is hands on interacting experiences ????. Not many get say they feed a giraffe, rhinos, and many other animals in life!! Hands down would definitely make another trip.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! I’ve lived in Colorado my entire life and will never get bored with the zoo! It’s just so fun every time! Now I have a baby I can take to go see all the animals too! I’m so excited! I love all the staff and animals and will always make this a favorite place! The Electric Safari was also great and I can’t wait to take my son to that as well!

Best zoo I've ever been to. Animals have large enclosures, park has beautiful views. The interactive components throughout the park really engage the kids. Playground was an unexpected benefits for my toddler. We will become members here soon. What a great place.

This is one of the best zoo’s I’ve been to. I really loved my last visit because they required you to reserve times which means it wasn’t very crowded and we got to enjoy the animals more. Speaking of the animals the look relaxed and well cared for at this zoo not sad and neglected.

I have been to a few zoos, but this one was so wonderful. You can see almost every animal that is there. If the weather is bad you can still see the animals on the inside. Its on a mountain so it's beautiful. The zoo workers are really helpful and knowledgeable. Such a great zoo. I cant wait to go back

I've only been to one other zoo in my life but this zoo is Waaaayyyy better! We loved every minute of it, very friendly and helpful staff, we lost the ticket to get on the sky lift and staff helped us get on! Best animal experience, all the animals looked like they were very happy and so active! I hope I'll be able to come back to Colorado and take the kids here because I know they would enjoy it!

For having a Denver Zoo membership we were blown away by this place! We loved all the opportunities to feed different species. (Extra bonus Giraffes are my favorite!) Just be aware to have plenty of cash to feed them! The sky ride was a nice change. The only problem I would say is they need better signage/directions. The layout was kind of difficult to navigate but it won’t stop us from coming back!

This is my favorite zoo. I visit every time I'm in Colorado Springs. You get the opportunity to feed the giraffes as soon as you walk in which is an amazing experience! All the other exhibits are along a hillside, a very unique zoo experience all around.

I've been going to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo since I was a kid and even though I live in Denver I still make the trip down to visit! I love feeding the giraffes! The new hippo and penguin area is a huge improvement from their old stomping grounds. Love that the staff is always updating and enriching the areas for the animals! I recently attended the Starlight Safari and loved it! Such a unique experience to visit the zoo at night!

You get to pet and hand feed Giraffes... I love how you are so close to the animals in most of the exhibits....here is a helpful hint....visit first thing in the morning...the animals are awake and active...later in the afternoon they take naps

Absolutely an amazing experience!!! So affordable for all the interactive things they have to do. We fed Giraffes and elephants. Enjoyed the sky ride with beautiful views! Had fun all on our own but will definitely be bringing the kids back. Also I feel like I have to mention they have SO many bathrooms available and the ones I went to were clean. You can tell they treat the animals good, and many donation opportunities available! Amazing

This is my favorite zoo! We visited this time for the electric safari which is their version of the zoo lights. We were still able to see some of the animals in the indoor exhibits and as always, feeding the giraffes was the best part! Lots of good photo opportunities and they’re so fun to feed. It’s only $3 for a handful of lettuce or $5 for two so it’s a fun time without having to spend a ton of money. Masks required indoors but not outdoors unless you’re within 6ft of another party

It's a zoo built onto a mountain. Lots of fun for the kids. There are lots of hills so it's great exercise. The kids really liked the giraffes and the birds. There was areas under construction, so I'm guessing they're adding more exhibits soon.

This is one of the best Zoos we have ever been to! The exhibits were very up close to the animals. We got to see the lions eat breakfast, wolves eating lunch, lots of animals up close! As a gift for my wife we did the sloth experience and met Bosco the sloth up close. He was super friendly and sweet! If you go to only one zoo in your life... Make it the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo!

The hands down BEST zoo I have ever been to. That animals are so active and happy. The zoo keepers are super friendly and are always happy to give more info about the animals. It is very interactive and educational and the views are amazing. We go every single time we drive through the area. My husband never wants to go to our local zoo but he is always more than happy to go to the cheyenne mountain zoo! Can't wait until we go again!

This zoo was amazing. If I could give it more stars I would. The kids had a blast they were able to feed several of the animals. Most of the animals are walking around you and you are able to touch them if them come on the trail. The zoo workers are so patient with the smaller kids while trying to pet the animals. I would go to this zoo over and over again, seems like there would be something new to see or do with the animals every time. Very interactive.

If you have not gone to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo yet I deeply recommend it, i took an hour and a half drive to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and it was total worth it. At the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo there are very nice workers that take care of the animals.This place also made my little brothers happy because right next to the gift shop there is giraffes that you can feed and pet. This made my brothers very interested in the giraffes and ended up coming back to the giraffes to feed them again. I give this place a five star rating mostly because there is proof that they take care of there animals because all the cages for the elephants are very clean and nice, and the hippo cage didn't stink at all. I will definitely be coming back to this zoo if the future.

what a wonderful zoo. You feel like your away from everything, high in a mountain setting. So clean and the animals seem extremely well cared for. There is social distancing and mask wearing and that is so great. I highly recommend this experience and I believe it is one of my favorite all time zoo experiences. It is definitely a must see. So exceptionally outstanding! My name is Roger Browning and I am a writer and my novel, now out on amazon, 'The Reckoning of Rance,' is a story of inheritance and raising gone wrong. Amazing experience. COVD restrictions in place (must wear masks in building). Restaurants are opened. Loved seeing the animals again. The zip line was great as well. You ride up, get off, look around the top of the zoo, get back on and go down. There are animals viewable from the zip line once you are in the air.
Tennis shoes are best as sons of the walk is uphill.

The zoo is wonderful. The animals are very photogenic..I would almost swear several posed for us. You. An bring your own food/drink or buy it there. They rent strollers and wheelchairs ( wish we knew at the beginning g of the day). Great views of the surrounding area. We can't wait to come back.

Such a wonderful place! We got to feed giraffes and goats and were chosen for an up-close encounter with Lulu the elephant. We learned so much about the care that the zoo takes for their elephants. Wonderful experience!

This zoo is spectacular! The setting is beautiful and relaxing, you feel like you're in the mountains. The animal set ups are so natural and large. You get an opportunity to see so many animals up close and interact with them, most at no extra charge. Really a great experience all around. Best zoo in Colorado for sure!

Oh my goodness! This is by far the best zoo I have been too! I have been to a few but this zoo has been the funnest and best experience I've ever had. Other zoo's let you feed their birds, but here the birds are not shy at all. They will fly to you and one even landed on my head and it was soo adorable! Then they have another section where they let some of the animals out free so as you walk you can walk next to them and experience the animals on a more personal level. There are a lot of great opportunities that this zoo offers for getting more personal with the animals and I loved that! None of the animals looked sad or despressed either and that made it all the more better!
